Baekhyun’s POV

She does really love that man that much. I saw with both my own eyes how she reacted earlier. She even cries because of him. Mahal na mahal nga niya. Di ko alam pero nasasaktan ako. Napakaswerte ng Laurence na yon for having Xyla or Laurene. Iniiwasan nga namin sila pero parang nananadya ang tadhanang paglapitin kaming lahat. Habang kumakain kami, masaya lang namin silang pinapanuod sa labas na naglalaro sa pool at naliligo sa ulan.

This is the first time I saw Xyla, if she’s really Xyla that happy. She never laughs or smiles like that. Ngayon lang at dahil sa lalaking yon. He’s so lucky to have her. Hanggang sa pabalik kami ng room ay kasama parin namin sila and it hurts seeing them like that. They were so happy and very sweet. He even kisses and hugs her in front of us for how many times.

“Where are you going Lay?” We all asked to Lay as he was about to go out in our room.

“I’m going to give her some medicine. Baka matuloy sa lagnat ang sakit niya.” He said and got out. He’s still concerned even we agreed to ignore her. Of course he’ll do. He’s a doctor after all.

“That man is so lucky that Xyla loves her that much.” Chen blurted out. We all eyed to him.

“And they are a perfect couple right? They’re good with each other.” Tao seconded.

“If only they don’t have a child, I will claim Xyla away from that man.” Kai said and we all nods when the door opens and a worried Lay get in finding something from his luggage.

“What happened?”

“She’s sick and she has a high fever.” He said and got a medicine kit out of his luggage. Napatayo naman kaming lahat at sumunod sa kanya. Papasok na sana kami sa kwarto niya ng biglang may pumigil samin.

“Hey! What are you going to do at Laurene’s room?” He said looking at us furiously. Di namin siya pinansin at pumasok lang. Agad siyang inasikaso ni Lay and I can see that she’s really cold.

“All of you, get out of here or else! I will sue you for committing trespassing!” He yelled but we keep ignoring him and acted like we don’t hear him.

“Don’t you hear me?”

“Shut up Laurence! Your voice is irritating! I want to sleep!” We heard Laurene yelled but still her eyes close. Napatakbo naman sa tabi niya si Laurence.

“What happened to her?” He asked.

“High fever.” Lay answered him.

“Wait… you’re the doctor in the hospital when we visits Laurene’s friends don’t you?”

“And what if it is me?”

“What are you doing here?”

“Enjoying a vacation.”

“Oh… is my baby okay now?”

“Just give her medicine to drink every four hours. Or I’ll just take care of her.”

“Okay, okay. Just do whatever you can do doc, to make my baby cousin okay.” Baby what? Teka, teka, mali ata pagkakarinig ko.

“What did you say? She’s your what?” We all asked.

“Uhm… baby… cousin?” He said more on asking.

“Laurene’s your cousin?!” We asked again making sure that we’re right.

“Yes… we’re cousins. I’m Laurence Grayson by the way and I’m his fraternal cousin. We’re so close to each other and I don’t want anything bad happen to her so do all the best you can do doc to make her better. I would give you money at high price if you want just let her live.” He said. We were just like, ‘what the heck?’ We all eyed to Suho and his rubbing his nape.

“But I thought you’re a real couple?” Suho asked him and Laurence look at him with wide eyes.

“Oh! Oh! You’re the one in the restaurant right?” Suho just nod.

“I remember that you said that time that she’s your wife.”

“Oh yes… she’s my wife that time because we were acting like a real couple. Remember the little girl that Laurene’s carrying? She’s my baby sister and we were acting as her parents because she’s so lonely that time because our Mom and Dad have gone for days and she misses them so much.” He explained. We look at Suho intensely and he’s smiling embarrassedly.

So we were ignoring Laurene the whole time just because Suho mis-understood them? We’re like idiots then. Haha! So she’s not married and she’s single. Ohoho! Still have a chance! I saw the others smiling and looking at her. Looks like the battle continues.

Xyla’s POV

I woke with my head still aches. Naalimpungatan ako dahil parang nagugutom ako. I seat up on my bed and hold my forehead and I touch a wet towel on it. Minulat ko ang mga mata ko to look at it. Sinong naglagay nito? I look at my side and saw Xylo lying beside me. He’s still sleeping like a baby. His thumb is in his mouth and he’s sucking it. I remove it and he furrowed his brows. Kalalaking tao mukha paring bata. Bababa na sana ako ng kama nang makakita ako ng mga pamilyar na mukha. What are they all doing here? They were all sleeping.

Halatang mga pagod na pagod. Si Lay, talagang trip niya ang matulog sa sahig. Tapos katabi niya sina Luhan at Chanyeol. At katabi naman ni Chanyeol si Kyungsoo na katabi si Xiumin at yung iba pa. Si Kris lang ang nakahiga sa sofa. Ang gulo lang nilang matulog. Yung isa nasa tiyan ng isa ang paa. Yung isa nasa mukha na.  Hahahaha. I get my phone and took a picture of them. Remembrance lang. Namiss ko sila… sobra. Don’t they worry, Xyla will come back soon. 

Dahan-dahan akong lumabas at bumaba para mag-order ng kakainin namin at bumalik din ako kaagad kasama yung isang personel na may dalang pagkain namin. Pagbukas ko ng pinto, tulog parin sila. Dahan-dahan kong pinapasok yung mga pagkain namin.

“I’m sorry, I’ve been sick so they’re all here to take care of me.” I said to him but he just smiled.

“You were so lucky to have them all.” He said before going out. Napakaswerte ko nga siguro, pero mas maswerte sila dahil nakatagpo sila nang isang kagaya ko, haha. Nilapitan ko at ginising muna si Kris. Kinusot pa niya ang mga mata niya at nang Makita ako ay agad akong niyakap.

“Thanks God you’re okay.” He said.

“Uhh… Magaling ang mga nagbantay sakin eh.” I said and he just chuckled. Kumalas ako sa yakap niya at nilapitan ang makapagpapagising sa iba. Umupo ako sa kama at pinitik ang noo ni Xylo.

“Hey, sleepyhead, wake up.” I said but he still closes his eyes. Pinitik ko ulit yung noo niya at nilapit ang bibig ko sa tenga niya.

“Xylo… aalis na ako at iiwan kita.” At wala pang dalawang Segundo ay napaupo siyang buhay na buhay ang mga mata. Nakita niya ako agad at ngumiti lang ako. Niyakap niya nalang ako bigla.

“LAURENE! THANK GOD YOU’RE AWAKE! HINDI KO ALAM ANG GAGAWIN KO KAPAG NAWALA KA SA BUHAY KO. SINO NALANG ANG MAGHAHANAP SAKIN KAPAG NAWALA AKO? SINO NALANG MAGTATANGGOL SAKIN KAPAG INAAPI AKO? SINO NALANG MAGIGING SWEET COUSIN KO KUNG MAWAWALA KA?” Kanta ba yung sinabi niya? Pakirewind nga.

‘Kung mawawala ka…’ Ahahaha. Sino pa bang hindi magigising sa lakas ng boses ng pinsan ko?

“Laurence, I’m still alive pero kung makapagsalita ka parang mamamatay na ako.” I said to him. He kisses my forehead and hugs me tight.

“Oh, tama na, di na ako makahinga.” Binitawan niya naman ako at ginulo ang buhok ko. He’s so sweet for a cousin. Nilingon ko yung iba at himalang nakangiti silang lahat sakin ngayon compare to the cold treatment they’re giving me last time.

“Oh, anong ginagawa niyo dito sa kwarto ko?” Tanong ko sa kanila but they keep smiling, maya-maya ay tumakbo palapit sakin si Xiumin at Biik at binigyan ako ng mainit na yakap pero kumalas din ako agad.

“We miss you Xy-Xy.” They both said. I furrowed my brows.

“Who are you two?” I asked them. Of course I know them but I should act like I don’t know them at all. They both smiled awkwardly and rub their heads.

“I’m your Xiu-Xiu… Xiumin’s the name.” Xiumin said. Haha… ang sagwa palang pakinggan. Sounds like I’m shooing him.

“Ako ang Biik mo pero Baekhyun ang pangalan ko.” Haha…

“Oh… okay? Then, nice meeting you two, Biik and Xiu-Xiu.” I said and gave them a wide hug. Naramdaman kong niyakap din nila ako pabalik. I looked at the others and they were just smiling. Looks like we’re in good terms again.
