Deepa went to take a stroll
To give her thoughts a ride

They were coming thick and fast
Anger, longing and sadness
Suddenly out of nowhere
She felt a bit of wetness

Her hand went to her eyes
To wipe away those tears
But they weren't the source
That weather had changed gears

That clear black sky
Now diluted with clouds
Lighted up by a flash
And a thunder strong and loud

In less than a minute
She was drenched in that rain
Though somehow she didn't mind
It was washing away that pain

The pain of missing her parents
The pain of missing them bad
The thoughts of her friends
Made her even sad

But this rain washed it away
It gave her a new life
By becoming her companion
Ending that long strife

Finally ending her misery...
