Life's Testimony

What is your life's Testimony?

"By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." Hebrews 11:5

Before Enoch was taken by God, he had this testimony- "he pleased God."

What is a testimony? An evidence or proof of an existence of something.

Enoch is known to have pleased God and that is what the Bible said of him. We first encounter Him in Genesis 5:18-24. There we found out that,

· He is a descendant of Adam from Jared, Enoch's father

· He walked with God (mentioned twice)

· Lived for 365 years

· He didn't experience death because God took Him

· The first one to be taken by God

Aside from what has been mentioned, in Jude's letter, he mentioned about Enoch's prophecy.

One had said God must have loved talking and walking with Enoch and so He decided to bring Enoch with Him. Though not much was said about Enoch in the Scripture but to be mentioned in Hebrews 11 as part of the faithful and to be the first one not to experience death speaks so much of his incredible faith in God. God is in search of faithful men and women in today's generation, the world has become worst and God is seeking worshiper that will worship Him in spirit and in truth and desires to be with them as much as they would desire to be with God.

What is your life's testimony?

What is your life's statement?

What does your life speak of?

Your life's worth, value... A life's testimony is something you will be remembered of. Are you living a life worth remembering? How do you want to be remembered? That is your life's testimony! No one wants to be remembered negatively and nobody wants to be remembered by their sins. Know that God doesn't want that either because that is the very reason why He gave His only begotten Son to cleanse His people from their sins. No matter at what angle you look at it, sin will always end up bloody and in lifelessness. "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23) But thanks be to God who has given us Jesus, and He took our sins and bore it to Himself and died in our stead. Having received Him as your Saviour, you will not be remembered by your sin rather as someone who is forgiven, redeemed, healed, loved, and a child of God. You will be remembered by your faith.

As i was going to school, me and my sister would ride a tricycle towards the school and God has placed a burden in my heart to preach Him to the tricycle driver, whom i just met. I believe he was new in the place and i did affirm it by asking him... I didn't know how to begin i started off by giving him a paper with a handwritten passage in the Bible about salvation. Then weeks after God has opened a way for me to talk to him but i started to walk away and i felt scared at some point, then i told my sister i have to tell him about Jesus but i was already at a distant with him and i thought maybe he had left already and i told my sister, "If he is still at the gate then, I'll go and preach to him the good news", and as i looked back, for some unknown reason he was still outside the gate and so, i hurriedly went to him and told him, "Kuya (Brother), God loves you..." and started to preach to him Jesus and what He did on the cross and that His blood has cleansed us from all our sins and has given us life eternal... He was somehow in doubt and said, "I've killed someone. My father was murdered and i killed the man who killed my father." I told him Jesus has cleansed us from ALL OUR SINS... ALL! Believe in Him and repent. And we prayed and for the second time i saw him smile, the first time was the moment i gave him the paper with the Bible passage on. After that incident, that was the last time i saw Him and months has passed since. I remembered him as someone who has accepted Jesus and as someone who said, "I want to serve God." That statement did really came out from his mouth.

Enoch is remembered up to this very day as one who walked faithfully with God- one who pleased God. His life's testimony is His faith's testimony!

How is our life today?

As we are yet alive, we are still writing our life's testimony.

Church, your life's testimony is your faith's testimony!
