The childbirth process was difficult, Bai never experienced such intense pain. The entire chamber was filled with metallic scent of blood and the beginning of rot. She really needed to clean this place soon. 

The motionless body of a very deceased Chimera lay not too far away from her birthing area. All three necks slashed open, their once intimating visages now vacant. It took months to gain their trust, months of cruelty, they constant insinuations that they are only keeping her so that they can enjoy the delicacy of infant meat.

 Luckily for her, they let their guard down, assuming that an eight month pregnant girl was harmless. She manipulated them into getting drunk to celebrate her forthcoming motherhood. Only cutting through the scaly skin of the snakehead was difficult, but she managed to complete her task with no remorse.

But now she was in agony, worried about complications, since there was no aid coming. She attempted to make the crossing to Kaasaam to find some assistance. But on the other side a bloody war was ongoing. So she decided to leave her fate to luck. 

The pain was intolerable, an intense pressure was building inside of her. She felt as though she was going to bust open. But finally after a concentrated push, there was a release. 

A tiny girl was brought chaotically into this world. Bai was fretful because its skin was a purplish colour. But her worries faded, when the babe voiced its protestations at so rudely being evicted from its warm comfy womb. Bai examined the tiny cherub to ensure that there was no immediate concerns. 

Two tiny pink wings unfurled, and her eyes shone brightly, filling the entire space with a warm light. Bai cleaned herself up as best as she could, and was conducting her first breastfeeding session.

 When a figure entered through the portal unexpectedly. Bai was far too exhausted for modesty at the moment.

The short man took off his sunglasses and spoke, "oh! Looks like I got here just in time! Let me introduce myself properly, I am Maurice, and the future will be bright for all of us."
