Next day,preetha comes to hospital as usual.On the way to karans cabin,she come across karan's attendant.

Preetha: Hey,hi vamsi

Vamsi: Hi mam.good morning

Preetha: good morning,vamsi thum yaha kya kar rahe ho? Karan sir nahi aaya kya?

Vamsi: aapko nai pata?

Preetha: Kya?

Vamsi: kal raath Karan sir  london gaya medical conference keliye.Chairman ka call aya hain achanak aur vo nikal gaya

Preetha(shocked and little sad): achaa.....kab aayegi?

Vamsi: ek hafthe mam...

Preetha: ohh ok ( and she is leaving)

Vamsi: mam patana bhul gaya mein......sir ne aapkeliye message di hai,unki ipad mein hain.kal rat usne mujhe thumse kehnekeliye kaha.

Preetha: ohh ok.Bye.

Vamsi: Bye mam 

Preetha is surprised of his sudden camp and confused about the message.

Preetha: Yeh kya hai.....suddenly london trip for one week.Aur mereliye message kya hogi? Chalo dekhthe hai(she goes to his cabin)

She takes the ipad on his table.

Message

Hey,preetha.hope you are fine.mein urgently london ja rahi hu. So attend all my appointments.You will have Dr.Ajith to help,don't worry.

And there is a surprise for you when I come back.Wait for it.....take care of yourself and my cabin also.Bye....

Preetha(smiles): yeh kya hain? Surprise? kya hogi? Sir bhi naa.....kya meri intuition correct hai? Vo mujhse pasand kartha hain kyaa? No no....may be as a friend gift la rahi hogi. Haa...yahi hogi.But he is so sweet.

She put it back and calls vamsi.

Preetha: Vamsi , Sir ka saara appointments meri upar transfer kardo aur patients ko meri cabin  bhejo

Vamsi: Ok mam

She is busy with cases till evening so she thought to take a break.After spending some time,when she is on the way to her cabin goes to karans cabin(as its door is left open) .She forgets that he is not there and calls him.

Preetha(opes the door): Sir,aap hain andar? (no response) sir......sir.....

Then she goes to other side of cabin which has a colorful glass as partition.When she opens it ,she finds a coach.Then she sees his pic on the wall.She admires.

Preetha(smiles): Kitna achi ho na aap? mein admit karthi hu ki aap smile karthe hue bahut ache lagthe ho.You are your smile.ek minute tu kya keh rahi hai? Karan sir ko dundhna haina? Maybe cafeteria  mein  hoga,tea time heina.

Then vamsi comes and preetha sees him.

Preetha(annoyed): Kya vamsi? itna late? thumhe pata haina sir is time pe green tea chahtha hai.Thum lene mein late kardi sir ne cafe mein gaya.

Vamsi(shocked): kya baath kar rahi ho mam? Sir yaha?

Preetha: haa aur kaha hogi.....dekho thum ye files bhi aise hi rakh diya hai.Bahut daategi vo thumhe.

Vamsi(understands): mam ....mam...wait....wait.....sir yaha nahi hain .vo london gaya hai subah bolana meine(she then realizes this) ab mein sir ko london jaake green tea dedu hain kya?

She then gets that he is not here.To cover herself

Preetha: haa...ha...mujhe pata hai.sir ho ya na ho thumhe discipline mein honahi haina.ab thum yaha kar rahi ho?

Vamsi: meine sir ki cabin clean karne aaya hain, reception se call aya tho mein vaha gaya vaapas aya aur dekha tho aap hain yaha.aapka koi kaam hain yaha?

Preetha: mu....mu...mujhe file chahiye.isiliye aaya hu.(she acts to take some file and walks towards door)

Vamsi: mam aap iss book ko kya karogi?

Preetha(without seein the book): kya karogi matlab? mujhe patient ki file dekhna haina?

Vamsi(slaps his forehead): mam kya hua aapko.....vo patient ki file nahi hai.Vo tv manual hai dekho zara

She sees it , she wants to hit herself for this stupid thing.

Vamsi: mam aap theek hona? 

Preetha: haaa main theek hu.m....m...mu....mujhe jaana hai 

She leaves from there when vamsi gets confused.Preetha walks in corridor hastily when bumps with a boy.They stop each other from falling.'

Preetha: I....I am so sorry beta.galthi se hogayi mein jaldbaaji mein thi , sorry.aapko kucch nahi hua haina

Boy: thats ok,mujhe kuch nahi hua hai.

Preetha: Thank god,Once again I am sorry.

Man(cutely with attitude): Itni baar sorry bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai.aap doctor ho?

Preetha(narrows her eyes): aisa nai lagtha hai kya?(she wears the stethescope) ab tho pakka lagathi hu!!  Kya kaam hai?

Boy: oh ab bhi  doctor nahi lagthi

Preetha(widens eyes): hey,who are you? what are you doing here

Boy: I am arjun.Mein papa ke saath aaya .

Then a man comes.

man: Arjun kya kar rahi ho? Dont play here arjun(he sees preetha) sorry aap kaun hai.Kahi arjun ne kuch nahi kiya na aapke saath

Preetha(smilingly): nahi nahi kuch nahi kiya.Bas mujhe doctor ki certificate nahi diya hain 

Man(little angry): arjun...

Preetha: kuch nahi kahiye,its okay.Bahut pyara bacha hai.waise aap wait kar rahi ho appointment ki?

Man: yeah I had appointment of Dr.karan

Preetha: He is not in town.I am his replacement.waise I am Dr.Preetha arora.mera cabin mein chalthe hain.Come

They go to her cabin.He says arjun's  problem and she examines the reports .

Preetha(seeing arjun): Hmm bahot cooldrinks aur ice creams khate hona thum.See what will I do?

Arjun makes lots of noises,shows funny attitude and runs here and there but preetha handles him very well,checks him and gives medicines.

Raghav: Thank you mam,aap young hai but you handled him very patiently.

She smiles and remembers karan's words.

Preetha(smiles): Thats not a big thing Mr.Raghav.ek doctor ki sabse badi qualification hai patience

Raghav: yeah you are right.Thank you I will take leave.

She thinks about karan and smiles.

Preetha(mind): You are right sir.Thank you

She finishes her work and leaves for home.

ARORA HOUSE

She is so tired ,she directly go to freshen up and rests for some time.

At dinner time

All are sitting at dining table.

Raghuveer: so preetha kaisa raha aaj ka din? bahut tired lag rahi ho

Akash: work ko patha nai par shakal dekho itni cheeky hui hai ......No(puts a wierd face)

Preetha(glares him): math dekho......(turns face away) bahot work papa.Sir nahi aaya hain so unki appointments meri surgeries(before she completes)

Akash: aisa keh rahi ho ki jaisa hospital ki saara kaam thumhe hi kiya hain

Preetha(crying face): papa dekhonaaaaa

Raghuveer: Akash.....(he becomes quiet while preetha teases him)

Her mobile rings,its karan.Seeing the caller Id she gets shocked.

Preetha(mind): Sir ab kyun call kar raha hai? dinner ke bad uthathi hu

Unknowingly,she finishes food hurriedly and runs to her room.All the 3 are confused.Going to her room ,she again got the call.

Karan: Preetha

Preetha doesnt respond.

karan(listening her heavy breathing): Preetha are you there? think hona?

Preetha: ye....yes sir I am fine.aap kaise ho?

Karan: mein bhi thik hu.Did i disturbed you?

Preetha: nahi sir bathao.Koi important baath hai?

Karan(mind): important tho hai thumhari aawaz sunana hai par isse kaise bathau

Karan: aaaa....kuch nahi bas....hospital ke baare me janne keliye phone kiya hain

Preetha: ok sir.Kya janna hai

Karan: kaise raha aaj ka din? tired lag raha hai voice.

Preetha remembers the same question asked by raghuveer and smiles that they both are same in many aspects when its of her.

Karan: preetha ??

Preetha: haa main hu sir......thoda tired hu.appointments haina 

Karan: achaa any intresting case?

Preetha: intresting ?? haa .....arjun sir.Oh my god!!! kaisa ladka hai woh......... meri saari energy usi pe use kiya. But bahot cute bhi hai man kartha hai use meri pass hi rakhu.(she smiles thinking about him ,not thinking what karan is feeling)

Karan(mind): what the hell! ye arjun kaun hai ab? ufffoo........ab ye conference nahi hothi tho kuch aur hi kartha mein.Shittt....

Preetha(no response from him): Sir....are you there??

Karan: H...haa....haa.....I am there.(mind: Yeah I wanna be there with you) ye arjun kaun hai?

Preetha: neuro case sir,8 year old.very cute

Karan(leaves a breathe and smiles): ohhh good.....khana khaya?

Preetha: haa aur aapne dinner kiya?

Karan(smiles): preetha mein london mein hu ab yaha early morning hein

Preetha remembers that ,then realises something.

Preetha: iska matlab aapne mujhe aapki subah ssubah cal kiya?

Karan: haa

Preetha: kyun sir.aapne neend kharab kardi.Kuch aur der ke baad phone karathe

Karan: tab thum soyegi aur mujhe thumhari neend nahi disturb karna hain .Baaki time mein busy rehthi hu.

Preetha feels something different seeing his care.

Preetha: ek baath puchu?

Karan(excited): pucho

Preetha: aapne message mein likha ki mereliye surprise hai>kya surprise hai?

Karan(smiles): surprise hainaa.....surprise hi rahne do.

Preetha(cutely): bathao na sir

Karan(feels happy and excited):  ok bathaungi

Preetha(happy): hmm bathao

Karan: ab nahi next week .......

Preetha: Sirr.......achaa theekey aap nahi bathaogi

Karan: thats like my girl

Preetha widens eyes and karan bites his tongue.To cover up,

Karan: I mean good girl,

Preetha(awkwardly but shyly): hmmm

Karan(sensing awkwardness): o...ok bye

Preetha: ok (then suddenly) hello sir wait wait

Karan: haa kya hua?

Preetha: Good Morning 

Karan(smiles widely): Surely it will be a good morning,good night preetha.

He hangs the phone while preetha smiles .Karan sees her pic and she sees the moon.They both smile and again wish each other.

Karan: kaash meri saamne hothe wish karthi.....bahot jaldi aayegi vo din bhi.

Preetha: Yeh kya hai?  Preetha......calm down itna excited mat ho.Sleep

They both sleep hugging pillows. 

Next day

Preetha leaves for hospital and is in karans cabin when vamsi comes.

Vamsi(smilingly): mam karan sir ki girl friend aaya hain.

Preetha(shockingly ): G..girl friend??
