Karan came back to his house.He is feeling relieved for escaping and relaxed for seeing preetha.when he is about to step on stairs his mother called him.

Rakhi: Karan

Karan(turning back): Mom aap soyi nayi?

Rakhi: mein water keliye aayi hu.thum kya kar rahe ho iss wakth?

Karan: Mein bas abhi aaya hu mom

Rakhi: Thum bahar gayi the....any emergency karan?

Karan: aaa

before he speaks rakhi notices vibuthi on karns forehead

Rakhi: Aur ye kya hai? Thum kab lagaya?

Karan(rolling his eyes): Kitna sawal puchogi mom? (remembers something suddenly) haa....I have to say mom you saved me today  aapne jo kaha vo sach mein sach hogayi.Thank you so much mom. waise aap mandir jaa rahe ho subah?

Rakhi(confused): haaa but kyun?

Karan: mein thumhe lejaunga subah.

Rakhi(shocked): KYaa?? thum mujhe mandi lejaogi? Kya hua karan? thik hona thum? 

Karan: Aap mujhe itna help kari tho mein itna tho kar saktha hu thumhareliye.Ok mom mein thak gayi hu.Bye.Good night.(kisses her and goes)

Rakhi: Arey meine kya kardiya aur hua kya hai isko? (holds her head) hey bhagwan iss pagal doctor ki raksha karo ( she goes to sleep)

Karan goes to his room , thinks about his funny feat and sleeps seeing her pic.

NEXT DAY

ARORA HOUSE

All are at dining table when preetha comes.

Sarla: Arey preetha thum kyun aayi? mein athi hu na thumhare nashte lekar?

Preetha(sitting): mein bore feel ho rahi hu mom isiliye aaya.Aap aao aur breakfast karlo

Sarla: Achaa theekey

Raghuver: How are you feeling now?

Preetha: Much better papa thoda weak lag rahi hai

Akash(taunting her): Ohh jaao  jaao baarish mein aur bheeg jaao weakness udh jayegi

Preetha(irritatedly): How rude!! mumma why did you gave him birth? Thoda wait kiya tho direct mein bahar athi.....

Sarla(laughing): arey preetha noo......

akash:  thumhe ungliyon par rakhne keliye bhi koyi hona chahiye.

Preetha: pehle thum  bandar ki tarah idar udar kudna band karo aur seedhe tarike se kade raho phir mujhe bata denaa

Akash: How dare you to call me bandar . YOuuuuuuuuu(shows fork towards her)

Pretha: Yeah meeeee....... (shows knife towards him)

Sarla: Uffo stop (raghuveer laughs) aap hasna band karo(everyone becomes silent) Preetha thum khao 

Raghuveer: Ok so preetha you got alright by your own medication.Good

Preetha(smiles): haa papa......meri theek hone mein ma ki contribution bhi hai.Ma din bar meri saath hi hai aur raath mein mujhe bhagwan ki vibuthi lagaya aur side table pe hi rakha vibhuthi ki cover taaki mein dar na hojau.Thanks maa

Sarla: Par mein thumhe kuch nahi lagaya?? mein thumhari kamre mein nahi aayi?

Preetha: Kyaa?? meri side table pe hai maa 

raghuveer and akash see towards each other.

Akash: Kya maa aap bahut cheezein bul rahi ho?

Sarla: But......(akash sighs no) haa.......  mein bhul gaya.m...m...mein ne rakha tha.  preetha thumhe kuch chahiye.

Preetha: nahi mom 

They do their breakfast.Raghuver and akash leave to office while preetha goes to take rest.

KARAN'S HOUSE

As said karan takes his mom to the temple,thanks god for all the beautiful things in his life and drives to hospital.He is attending patients.When a young boy barged in his room.

Karan: aman thum yaha?

aman(with red eyes and vulnerable voice): Vo sab chodiye aapne mujhe jhut kyun bola?

Karan(gulping) :  M....meine kya bola?

aman(angrily): kyun natak kar rahi ho? apne mujhe jhut kyun bola?/

Karan: Mein thumhe kyun jhut bolungaa? First sit down 

When he was coming near aman he showed his palm signing him to stop.

aman: aapko nahi pata? Phir ye sab kya hein?

He throws a file on his table.Karan opened it and saw that file.It was a medical report of aman. He closed his eyes and 

Karan: aman meri baath suno.......

aman: kya sunu haa ? kya? Phir ek aur jhut bologi?

Karan: jhut nahi hai...ek baar..

Aman(with tears in his eyes): aapki baath hi suni meine par aap mujhe sach nahi kaha.....aap chahthe ho ki mein phir sunu?

Karan: aman aisa nahi hai....ek baar sunlo

aman(with stern voice): stop.Itna vishwas kiya meine aapko. mera bhada bhai mana par aap.(shouts) Kyun nahi kaha ki mujhe cancer hai ? London mein bahot kharab hua meri tabiyat aur doctors tests kiya aur mujhe ye report diya which clearly states that I am suffering with final stage of cancer.(with broken voice) Aap kyun nahi bataya mujhe? Kyun?

Karan(also broken seeing his stage): Aman I ....I just...want to

Aman goes from there with tears when karan also goes behind him.He is trying to stop aman but he is not stopping.All the patients and doctors are seeing them when aman pushes karan hard.

Aman: mujhe akela chod doo....kyun aaa rahi ho peeche?

Karaan comes to him and hugs him tightly but he tries to push him , atlast aman hugs karan tightly and cries his heart out.Karan is on verge of crying seeing his state.He feels his weight on him and he understood that aman got unconscious.He called the nurse and they took him to the room.

Karan saw him and he had tears in his eyes but composed himself.when he was on the way to his room he saw him sitting at open area.Karan went near him.

Karan: theek hai ab?

Aman(now cool): hmmm

Karan(side hugging him): Kitna gussa aaya....hmm...

Aman didnt respond anything.

Karan(sensing his state): Aman I can understand your emotions.But tab mein vo kehna jaroori tha.Chances hai complete cure keliye aur meine isiliye nahi bathaya.mein silently thumhe treatment de rahi thi counselling,medication everything aur results mein improvement dekha meine.Vo improvement isiliye aaya kyunki thum confident ho,hopeful ho.Agar thum depressed hogi tho improvement kabhi nahi hothi.If you wanna get cured first you have to believe that you are getting cured.aur thum waise hi kar rahi thi.But cancer cells bahot fastly multiply hogayi aur thum london gaya mein mana kar rahi thi phir bhi thum gayi.

Aman: Kya agar mein yaha hothi tho aap rok pathi ?

karan knows he cant . He tried his best to cure him but it was not in his hands.He remained silent.

Karan: Maybe I would.

aman(bitterly laughs): Ye game nayi hai bhayya extra life honekeliye....zindagi hai.Sorry kuch zyada hi chillaya.

karan: kuch zyada nahi bahot kuch zyaada. but theekey bhaiyya haina jhelna padtha hai chote bhai ko.Haina ammu!!!!!

Aman(smiles and bit relaxed): Bhaaaai(at his nick name).....ek baath puchunga bataogi?

Karan: ha puchlo

aman: aap preetha ko pasand karthe heina?

Karan(surprised ): Kyaaa? kya baath kar rahe ho?

Aman: Bhai hu mujhe patha hota hai...bathao..bathao

Karan(seeing no other way to escape): hmmm

aman: bathaya use?

karan(sighing and thinking about her): nahi....bathana hai.But iss feeling heina bahot khubsurat hai...chupke chupke kar rahi su sab.bahot feats karna hai.but I am loving it.

Aman: ahaaa......bade bhayya dharthi pe aao aur use jaldi bathado aap kya feel kar raha hai.

karan: hmm ok chote sardar

They share a laugh when aman face becomes dull.

Karan: aman kya hua?

Aman(suddenly): Kitna din hai mere paas jeene keliye?

Karan(shocked): Aman ..yeh kya

Aman: Plese bhai...iss bar jhut nahi?

Karan(closing his fists tightly): 2 months

Aman(leaves a sight and after some silence): Bhai mei london jaungi...

Karan: No aman may be we can try please stay

aman: Nai bhai mujhe maa ki khana khaana hai dad ki daante sunnana hai aur mera bade bhai ko bahut natunki dikhana hai.(emotional) kya pata phir time hi mile ya nahi?

Karan(with broken voice): No aman dont say like that

Aman: Sach tho yahi haina bhai......Thank you so much for everything doctor aapne mujhe kabhi patient ki tarah nahi dekha.Bahut sambhala aapne mujhe bahut koshish ki par bhagwan ne kuch aur plan kiya.Thank you so much

Karan: I miss you ammuuu....

aman(he smile at his nick name): mein bhi....bye bhai.mein....

He couldnt utter words when karan hugs him and they both stay like that for a long time.Aman bids bye to him.But karan just look at the stethoscope in his hands and look towards the sky.

Karan:(holding stethoscope in his hands) itna padai ki par aisa lag raha hai sab kuch waste hai .(looks towards sky) aapne kyun kiya aisa ? duniya bahot aage bad raha hai but zindagi bachane mein nai. ( a tears drops from his eyes)

He stays their for a while comes outside the hospital,sits in the open area and sees his surroundings.Everyone is in their world.Some are patients and their beloved ones while some are their saviours.The hospital has a life cycle in it.

Preetha comes there.And sits beside him.he is shocked

Karan: preetha thum kab aayi? Thum leave mein honaa? How are you feeling now?

Preetha: I am fine sir.Ghar mein bore lag rahi hai tho socha mein hospital aa jau aur aapko dekha.

Karan: Ok thats good.

Preetha: Aap yaha kya kar raha hai?

Karan: Bas man nai lag raha hai vaha tho socha bahar aa jau

Preetha(smiles): haa thoda rest tho bantha hai.

They settle themselves.They are just observing and feeling the area.She sees a pregnant woman.

Preetha: This place is so lucky sir.......so many lives start here.

Karan(in deep thought): Aur end bhi yahi hotha hai

Preetha: Ek baath puchu?

Karan: hmmm

Preetha: Aap aman ko sach kyun nayi bathaya?

Karan is shocked now.And looks at her

Preetha: Mein bahut pehle aa chuki hain aur jab aman aap par chilla rahi the mein vahi tha socha thoda samay baad aapse baath karlu.

Karan just nods.

Pretha : Bathao kyun nayi bathaya

Karan: Kaise bathatha ? doctors hu ......hame unhe cure karna hai unki khushiyan laut aani hai par meri ek baath se use uski khushi kho jaathi.Kuch samay se hi sahi vo bahut kush tha 

Preetha: But jab sach saamne aagaya tho vo bahut dukh hotha na jaise aaj hua.

Karan: haa hotha hai.Ye sab mein hame ek important cheez bhul rahi hai...tha is TIME.Time is very precious preetha.  mein uski health condition bathakar usey dukh dena nahi chahthi.I know that he cant be saved phir bhi meine koshish ki .baki din mein usey andhere mein nahi dalna chahthi.I wanted him to spend his tim very happily.

Preetha: and you are successful in it.I am proud of you sir.I am very happy to work with you.

They both smile towards each other and an unknown bond has already taken place between them....after a while

Preetha: Sir,Kya hamari precious time mein aur kuch patients ko kushi dene mein use kare... late ho raha hai sir!

Karan smiles and they both make way inside the hospital when karan remembers aman's words.

Aman: Bhai preetha ko batha de aapki dil ki baath.Kya patha aisa wakth na aa jaye ki aap kehne par bhi vo sun na paye.Life takes a lots of turns anything may happen.Think about it bhai.

Karan plans to tell her his heart.While preetha is very happy knowing him more and more with each passing day.She is feeling satisfied working with him as a doctor and as a human.
