Its a busy day for them.Busy in their own thoughts and in works.While they are on the way to home,preetha was smiling

Karan: Kya hua madam? itna smile kar rahe ho?

Preetha(seeing him): kuch bhi nai

Karan: bathao na kya hua?

Preetha: ok bathathi hu.......aj hospital mein...

IN HOSPITAL

Preetha was in canteen when she saw a couple having many food items on their table.

Raj: simu aur kya chahiye?

Simu: choclate icecream with fruit toppings

Raj(bringing it): yelo

He is going to eat his pizza

Simu: Raj mujhe sandwitch chahiye

Raj: abhi tho icecram laya mein first finish it

simu(narrowing eyes): thumhara matlab...ab thum nahi laogi mereliye?

Raj(slowly): no...I was saying abhi meine pizza juice choclates salads aur icecream bhi laya na wo finish karo mein bhi pizza kaungi fir sandwitch laungi

Simu(angryly): Are you going or not?

Raj(afraid): ja raha hu naa.....aise math dekho hospital hain please.

IN CAR

Preetha(laughing):  wo already zyada kha raha tha aur zyada kha rahi hai uski husband tho waiter ki tarah ja raha hai aur aa raha hai items leke.....bechara woh kuch bhi nai kaya.(laughs)

Karan smiles seeing her laughing.after few minutes....

Preetha: uski husband bahot patient hai really..... koi aur hotha tho use daanttha aur bahut sunatha lekin wo kuch bhi nahi kaha....so good

she smiles admiring him..

Karan: kaise daanttha wo.....akhir uska jaan basthi hai usme

Preetha(confused): Kya?

Karan(smiling): thumhe samaj nahi aaya(she nodded no)......she was pregnant.he was taking care of his wife and their baby.

Preetha(surprised):Pregnant....wo? mujhe nahi pata chala bahot dr observe kiya.... aapko kaise keh rahe ho?

Karan: thumari bathon se lag raha tha ki wo couple kush hai aur husband uski wife ki cravings handle kar raha hai

Preetha(confused): itna sab kuch pata chala aapko? kaise

Karan(seeing her once): ladke zyada kush kab hothe hai thumhe pata hai(she nods no) jab usko pata chala ki uska roop kisi ki pet mein paida ho raha hai.aur wo ladka ladki ko aise dekhegi ki puri duniya uski saamne rakhna chahiye.wife ko kisibhi tarah matlab kisi bhi tarah  kush rakhna chahiye.....because she is giving life to his child at the cost of her life.ha irritate hotha hai lekin wife bhi nahi maanogi naa(he laughs)isiliye from the 1st day of pregnency ladkiyan kitna bhi nakhre kare.... kitna bhi daante ....kuch bhi kare ....ladke ko gussa nahi aatha  balki aur zyada pyaar dikhatha hai.

Preetha gets lost feeling his words.

Preetha: a...a..aap bhi aise ho?

Karan(sees her eyes): jab mujhe pata chala ki mein papa banne wala hoon.......mein thumhe meri maa ki tarah dekhlunga.

Preetha smiles listening him while he feels emotional.

Preetha(to lighten his mood): bahot time hai wo sab keliye......ab mujhe jaldi ghar jaana hai.ab driving pe focus karo.

He drove to her home.

ARORA'S HOUSE

Sarla: Preetha aa gayi....fatafat thum ready hojao ham niklenge designer ke paas theekey.

Preetha(feeling bad but not showing it): theekey ma.... mein 15 mins mein athi hu.

She gets ready and they leave.

BOTIQUE

Preetha was seeing lehengas.She was not feeling good about the whole thing but she had to do it.Sarla selects a few pieces and ask her to try them.While she was going for trail she sees sarla speaking to a man who she can barely see and wonders who he might be.She comes back and goes to her.

Preetha: Sab theek lag raha hai....aapki choice hai

Sarla: wo sab theek hai.....thum mujhe kyun nahi pata ki dulha bhi aa raha hai?

Preetha: kya? kaun dulha?

Sarla(hitting her head): tumhari dulha.....yeh dresses usi ne select kiya hein.abhi tak yaha hai(she sees around) ....koi kaam hogaa.Ok (selecting one of them) ye lelo uska favourite color yellow lag raha hai.Thumpe bhi suit kartha hai.

Preetha doesn't understand whats going on and within a minute her mom moves to jewellery store and she also moves not knowing what to do.

Sarla was seeing rings while preetha was not there.Sarla got a call and she leaves asking preetha to finalize.She touches them when someone sit beside her rashly and she got scared for a moment and it was karan.

Preetha (shocked ): aap? yaha? kya kar rahe ho?

Karan(taking his specs): yaar meine kaha na yeh question puchna band karo .....(seeing her expressions)actually  sirf question hi nahi aise expression bhi band karo.

Preetha: aur aap aise achanak tapakna band karo automatically mujhe bhi band hojayegaa

Karan: Kya baath hai? logics se baath kar rahe ho aaj?

Preetha(seeing around):wo sab chodo... aap kyun aaya ho yaha?

Karan: fir se ye sawal?

Preetha(gritting teeth): ok......ab aapko kya chahiye?

Karan: good girl.....mereliye ring kharid rahe ho mere bina.yeh galath bath hai....isiliye mein aaya.

Preetha(widen eyes): kyaa? ab aap select karogi?

Karan: mein nahi ham...ham dono select karenge apna apna rings.

She was shocked whereas karan starts seeing the rings.

Karan(showing rings): yeh kaise hai? Is it ok?(seeing other) yh bhi thik hai....yeh bhi....thum kuch kyun nai bol rahi ho?

Preetha doesn't speak a word.he sees her and shakes her.

Karan: hello....kaha kho gayi ?

Preetha: karan aap jaao agar mumma agayi tho bahot problem hojayegi please.

Karan: mein abhi aayana? 

Preetha : please jaao yeh sahi wakth nahi hai

Karan: acha theekey jaunga ek condition pe

Preetha: kyaa?

Karan: mereliye ring select karo aur mein thumhareliye.....tab mein jaunga yaha se.ok?

Preetha: lekin meri ring ladke wale laoge naa....

Karan: ha isiliye mein kharid raha hu

Preetha: kyaa? aap nai woh?

Karan: aise baathe karna hai tho time waste ho jayegi thumhari ma bhi aajayegi

Preetha(scared): achaa theekey.

They select rings to each other.Karan takes her ring with him.He goes and sarla comes after sometime.

sarla: ring select kiya?

Preetha: haa maa ......yeh hai(shows the ring)

Sarla: bahot acha hai......chale

They buy the ring and go to home.

NIGHT

Raghuveer: so kya kharid liya? hame bhi dikhao

Sarla shows her lehenga and the ring.

Raghuveer: ring aur dress bahot acha hai.....

Sarla: heinaa....mujhe bhi bahot pasand aya.Ring Preetha ne khud select kiya

Akash: for the 1st time zindagi mein thumhari selection superb hai

Raghuveer: meri beti ka choice always the best(kisses her forehead)

she  smiles.

Sarla: achaa theekey. sab chale..... dinner ready hai.preetha dress thumhara kamre mein rakho aur dining hall ajao.

They all go while preetha is taking her dress sees the ring.She holds it and remembers how he suddenly came and how they both selected rings to each other.A beautiful smile stole her lips.

NEXT DAY

They both were in hospital when karan got to know that he should go to delhi immediately for a critical case.He tries to avoid it but his oath comes in mind thus accepting to go.He decides to inform preetha.

Karan: Preetha .......ek baath bathana hai

Preetha: haa bolo

Karan: mujhe urgently delhi jaana hai(her face changes) ek critical cardiac case hai aur meri jaana bahot important hai.

Preetha: lekin ab?

Karan: Don't worry mein ajaungi do din mein.aur mujhe kya karna hai mein karunga

Preetha became vulnerable.She wants to stop him but she cant because she is a doctor and its against their oath.with a heavy heart,

Preetha: Ok aap jaao....I will be ok.

Karan(with low voice): I wanted to stay but you know.... 

Preetha(holds his hands): I know.....first we are doctors.aap hi kahana If patient needs us we must be there and I understand......(comforts him) aap zyada socho math.I will be okay and I will take care .

Somebody calls karan to come fast.

Karan walks but comes back and hugs her tightly.They need it the most then.

Karan: thumhara khyal rakhnaa.....importantly baarish mein .apne aap ko kho jaogi(she smiles) ok 

Preetha: aap bhi apna khyal rakhna....all the best.I know you will suceed.....

Comforting themselves a few minutes they come out of hug and bid bye to each other.

EVENING

Preetha comes out of hospital to leave for home.

Preetha(remembering something): Oh shit....karan nahi haina.mein bhul gayi.....akash ko call karthi hu(he doesnt lift the phone) yeh phone kyun nahi lift kar raha hai.ab mein ghar kaise jaau?(thinks for a while) mein auto mein jaungi aaj......koi baath nahi.

She waits at rest stop when it starts raining.Its more than happiness to preetha.

Preetha(seeing the rain lovingly): aaya thum......kitna miss kiya meine(she plays holding droplts).man kar raha hai abhi mein bhigu(remembering karan words) lekin mein nai bhig saktha.Sorry.......agli baar uske saath zaroor bheegungi.Its a promise.

She enjoys a while when a car stops infront of her.She was not in a mood to observe that when a lady comes out to her.She was  Amrutha Rathore.

Amrutha: Preetha...

Preetha turns to her and gets shocked.

Preetha: Hello mam

amrutha: mam nai aunty.....

Preetha: S.....sorry hello aunty.

Amrutha: Thum yaha kya kar rahe ho?

Preetha: mein.....(she can't say about karan so says about akash) mein auto keliye wait kar rahi hu.

amrutha: auto?

Preetha: bhail thoda busy hai tho socha auto mein jau mein

amrutha(firmly): no.....hamare hone wali bahu ho thum....thumhe aise kaise auto mein jane deta mein.aao mein drop karthi hu....

Preetha: nai....nai aunty mein jaungi.

amrutha: mein kuch bhi nahi sununga.....come get into car.

She goes while preetha, not to disrespect her goes.

IN CAR

amrutha: waise roka ke baad meine thumhe nahi dekha aur baath bhi nahi kiya?

Preetha just nods.

amrutha: wait ek kaam kyun nai karthi ham...thum mere saath ghar chalo.thoda time spend karenge fir thum wapas apna ghar chali jaana

Preetha was more shocked and scared by her sudden words.

Preetha: no....no.....

amrutha(seeing her scared): kyun?

Preetha(composing herself): I mean.. mumma meri wait kar rahi hogi. mujhe ghar jaana hai

amrutha: koyi baath nai mein baath karunga sarla ji se woh mana nai karega.

Preetha was getting worried about what would happen next?Then she gets an idea.

Preetha: Actually aunty ma keh rahi thi ki shaadi se pehle mujhe apka ghar nahi aana chahiye aur us....usko nahi dekhna chahiye.ashubh hotha hai so....

Amrutha: yeh bhi sach hai lekin shaadi ka date fix nahi hua na so no problem aur thumhara dulha nahi hai yaha sharamao math(she teases her).waise we didn't have time to talk....come I will show your to be house and have some tea.

Preetha gets relaxed a little bit.

Preetha(mind): chalo koyi achi baath hai wo ladka nahi hai yaha........but kab katham hoga yeh sab?

She worries a little bit about the future but composes herself at that instant.

RATHORE'S

They reach the mansion.It was big,beautiful and lively.The fragrance made her relieved.She was welcomed into the hall.

amrutha(showing hall): So pehle baar aaya!!! kaise lag raha hai?

Preetha(genuinely): bahot acha hai aunty.....everything is perfect.

amrutha(smiles): Thank you.....sab mera selection warna thumhara uncle or thumhara pati ka time hai kaha.pura din idar udar bhaagthe hai.

Preetha feels awkward listening it. Her thoughts worry her again.

amrutha: Thum sab dekho mein thumhareliye green tea laungi.....

Preetha: no aunty thats ok....

amrutha: daro math.....mein good doctor bhi hu or good cook bhi.Thum dekho mein abhi athi hu

She feels bad that she was doing wrong with good people.To avoid those thoughts at that moment she begins to wander the house and she feels awe of everything.

Preetha: bahot ache ghar aur bahot acha log hai.......bahot lucky hogi wo ladki jo iss ghar mein athe hai.kya karan ka ghar aur parivaar bhi aisa hoga?

Meanwhile amrutha comes and gives her tea.

Amrutha(settling herself): So.....sab dekha thumne?

Preetha: haa aunty......ghar bhi beautiful hai aur tea bhi.

They chit chat for some time and they both really enjoy the conversation.

Amrutha: Preetha thumne woh photo dekhaa.....in the middle.

Preetha: nai aunty meine kisi pic nahi dekha

Amrutha: thum notice nahi kiya hoga.....come i will show it.

Preetha goes with her.Amrutha opens the curtains revealing an enlarged family pic.Seeing the pic,her smile gets lost ,eyes were widened and totally she was stunned.
