Chapter - 23

"Abby, we are here," I spoke on the call and with that, I saw her coming out of her house, all ready for that scary amusement park.

"Hey, Xavier! Hey Mark!" She exclaimed, sliding into the backseat of the car.

I smiled at her and punched Mark for his ignorance, who was sitting in the passenger seat and involved in his virtual world with Kia.

I snatched the ear pod from his ear and shouted," Kia!!! Tell that sleepyhead to get her ass up from the couch!"

"I wouldn't deny that she's resting like a maniac on the couch, but she is ready to go-" Kia said, laughing.

"Tell that little creature that I'm going to whoop his ass up on the roller coaster," I heard Jo growling from the back, to which Mark snorted and high-fived with Abby.

We reached the dormitory gates and there they were all set and ready- getting all restless.

"Who got late, little creature?" Jo smirked at me. She's going to regret it. No, I take it back, I'm gonna regret agreeing to come on this devastated trip to their so-called amusing amusement freaking park.

Kia and Jo sat in the car and on our way to the park we jammed on 'Free Love' and other songs that tracked on the radio.

Finally, my death...the amusement park.

"Wait here girls, we are going to buy the unlimited rides tickets for all of us," Mark said rubbing his hands with an evil smile forming on his face, Jo giving him the same look.

They are plotting against me, why God!?

Mark and I bought the tickets and I tried my best to not show my scared side.

"What's fun?" Jo asked, and I knew she didn't ask such a dumb question without any reason.

But wait, she's dumb.

"Roller coaster!" They all shouted, looking at me and then at the ride. I took a glance at the roller coaster, which scared the life out of me. It started at one point and moved up and down like a bunch of steep hills, making a freaking 360° roll and then rounding up by into the water and out with another zig-zag up and down and ending at the deep end of the park.

Fear was visible in my eyes. "I can't, I seriously can't, nope, never, I'm not doing this," I stated clearly.

"No Xav, it'll be fun, I promise. And I'm here with you right, I won't let anything happen to you," Jo said, making a serious face, but I knew she was all excited to see my lost puppy face.

"Please guys, I admit it, okay? I'm scared," I spoke, honestly.

"And we know that, but 'trust me on this okay?', rule, remember?" Jo grinned sheepishly.

She did not! Not the rule. Now I have to? Who made this freaking rule? That ba-- Calm down, Xavier, it was you.

We were standing in the line for half an hour now, and as soon as people were getting on the ride, the distance between me and my death came closer.

It was our turn next when I couldn't take it anymore. "I'm not doing this," I said and ran in the opposite direction.

Suddenly, my collar was pulled up, and my feet stopped in their direction. I glanced back to an angry Jo.

"You are not going to break the rule, understood?" She said, giving me the 'I am so done with you look' and I obeyed.

I don't want her to be all angry. My little sleepyhead. I ruffled her hair and showed her my bunny smile, to which she got annoyed at first and then gave me one of her best smiles.

"Oh Lord, just save me this time, will you?" I chanted sitting on my seat and next to me was Jo. Kia and Mark sat behind us and Abby with a girl who was completely scared like me.

The ride was going to start, and I was going to end. "Get my will signed in your name after my death, okay?" I told Jo looking down to which she laughed.

"What? Idiot!" She laughed.

"Besides, you have any property?" She asked, holding her belly.

"No?!" I replied making an awful face, and she laughed harder.

And 3...2...1...

It started as fast as a plane taking off, and my eyes were about to come out of their sockets anytime. My eardrums were about to give up as well.

I looked at Jo and reality hit me, even if she isn't afraid of these adventures, she is the worst shrieky screamer. Like the last note of the piano having no depth just a pinned voice, that's how she screamed in my ears making me go deaf.

"I'm going to pass out any minute, carry me home, okay?" I shouted at her while she was enjoying the best time of her life smiling with her teeth set on display.

"You good?" She asked, reassuring herself.

"Well till now?!" I replied.

I held her arm for support, and she intertwined our hands tight, assuring me of her presence. But what about her presence, when I was going to pass out of an attack. My heart was ringing in my ears calling out the last-minute words.

The ride went on faster than the air whooshing around. The dangerous point-when we went inside the water-me with my opened eyes shouted like a freaking squirrel. That's right, no voice came from my mouth, just me with my loneliness.

Jo looked lost after coming out of the water. "You okay?" I asked.

"Huh? Yeah! Woo-hoo!" She let her hands-free in the air and held one of mine in hers.

The ride came to the end with all cheering up the experience. "Woah! That was amazing!" I exclaimed, making my mind stable.

"Really? Let's go again then!" Jo said getting all excited.

I ran with snuggly legs out of there and made my way to a nearby bench. Jo came and gave me a water bottle and rubbed my back, which calmed me down.

She showed me the video she captured on the small go pro camera and laughed while dying on the floor. I was scared for my life, but yeah it was fun.

"Mirror house?" Kia asked.

"Let's go~" Abby cheered.

I was relieved that it was not a ride. Let's play fairly now.

We entered the mirror house and it made our mind go zoom. What the hell there was a straight path and it felt like we were climbing the stairs. After thinking I was high on something, we all reached the mirror illusion room which had one door for the exit.

"Hey, Jo!" I saw her and moved towards her when my head bumped in the mirror, and she laughed.

It was my turn to laugh though but my destiny turned its face on me I suppose, and after getting confused after so many steps and seeing multiple reflections of a single person, my feet caught the attention of a real person's presence.

"Hey! Abby!" I said, to which she shushed me. "I found the way out!!" She whisper exclaimed.

"Let's go then?" I asked and looked at Jo. "Wait a minute," I said to Abby and walked my way towards her.

I grabbed her hand and dragged her out while Kia and Mark joined us. "Let's go sleepyhead, we don't have whole day."

We made our way to the bumper cars and that was truly fun for me. Driving nonchalantly and knocking down the head lights of cars, simply the best. Kia was trying her best to control the car but was becoming an easy target.

We took a few more rides and after finally getting exhausted, made our way to a restaurant. "Guys sometimes l wonder, that Jo and Xav are secretly dating and we all are living out of their tiny world," Kia pointed at us wiggling her eyebrows.

"I think so too," Abby said. Mark was not at all interested, he was sitting quietly munching on his food.

"Aww guys, but no we are not, we are best friends for life," Jo cleared, and I nodded.

We went to the photo booth and made every face we could and took the polaroids home. Those were such cringe photos, but enough for us to laugh over them when they will become memories.

"Guys, Ferris wheel!" Jo pointed. The sun was about to set, and a perfect view could be found on the Ferris wheel.

Admiring at nature's beauty of reaching the dusk with every round we made, the happy faces of our squad and their hearts filled with laughter and joy ended the day perfectly.

"Hey hey hey! Last please, let's go on that bus ride, please!!" Abby whined.

We all agreed to her and started walking towards it when Jo stopped us.

"No! Wait, don't go on that bus, I saw... I saw something...the driver might lose control and...and collide the bus with the wall," Jo said, her face devoid of any color.

"Woah! Woah! Girl, you might be tired, that's why you are seeing things," Mark stated and shrugged.

They all started walking again towards the ride and I stood there for Jo to help her calm.

"What's up, kiddo, it's okay, okay?" I assured her.

"No! Nothing is, believe me, I have had this experience before too," she remarked to which everyone stopped in their tracks.

We heard a loud thud and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what was ahead of me, the bus collided with the wall.

All of them stared at Jo. "Do you get precognition? Like you can see the future events?" Abby asked.

"Come on, guys, it may be a coincidence?" Kia stated.

"I don't think it's a coincidence," Abby said.

"Come on guys, leave it, let's go, okay?" I stated seeing Jo standing in utter confusion and fear.

What an eventful day but yeah, always a wretch in the end riding a bus.
