Chapter - 21
Later this week
That time of the day when, after having a good lunch in the cafeteria, all you need is a good nap.
Especially after having the cheese macaroni-life just plays.
The amount of overacting you did there.
So what?
Nothing, go on with your prophecy of embarrassing me and I will go on with mine.
What's yours?
Thank me later.
What?
...
Hey, that's not fair.
"Who are you talking to, sleepyhead!" Xav exclaimed all of a sudden.
"Ah- nothing!" I replied.
"Don't tell me you were talking to yourself! Wait-I have a question... Do you believe that souls can connect and talk to each other?" He asked.
"What- I have never heard of that. Maybe they can-"
"Hello everyone! I have a surprise for you today!" Professor Rhio barged in and exclaimed.
I never liked him, he always plays games with us.
"What surprise!?" Xav asked me.
"How do I know? It's a surprise, duh!"
"That's what I said, sleepyhead!" He jerked my forehead with his palm and smirked.
I can't-
"There's going to be a surprise test right now!! And I-" he paused for us to complete his sentence, but nobody answered.
"... I am going to mark your assessment grades on that basis!" He clapped his hands once that startled the other sleepy ones like me.
Everyone including me gasped in unison in an utterly dramatic way.
You guys are so over-dramatic!
We are.
"Have you studied? I don't know anything! What will we do now?" I asked Xav.
"I know- nothing, and I also know that you know everything!" He chimed proudly.
What? Who said that? She's dumb.
The whole class started debating and mentioned many reasons to postpone the test, when the professor started laughing.
"Hahaha- calm down, you guys! There's no test, hahaha! Instead, the surprise is, I am going to give you this lecture-free. You all are dismissed," the professor chirped.
Xav and I looked at each other and then at the professor in unison, and then again towards each other.
"Woah!"
"Let's go to the cafeteria!!" Kia said and pointed at everyone who's in our squad.
"He scared me!" Abby whined and took a sip of the strawberry shake. Everyone nodded their head towards her.
"Jo, I'll stay till late today, so I will drop by the dormitory. Pass me the notes, I can't trust this professor anymore!" Abby said.
"I'll hand them to Kia as I'll be at the library. She will give them to you. Right?" I told Abby and then looked at Kia for affirmation.
It's been quite a few days that Vian and I were meeting in the library at the same time. We have started with our writing and I must say he is a sucker for dark fiction.
He was like a different person in the university and altogether a different one in the library. It was like he wanted to talk but restricted himself, like he wanted to smile, but something was holding him back.
"It'll be so much fun on the trip!! I'm so excited!" A girl sitting at the next table exclaimed loudly.
"What trip?" Xav asked me.
"Uh-it's kind of a trip for literary arts folks to I don't know where, but it's for our project," I told him.
"Woah! You are going, right?" Mark asked me.
"Nah-I don't feel like going without you guys," I said.
"You should go, Jo!" Xav insisted.
"Aww, you will not be alone Jo, that Vian guy will be there with you!" Kia said, smirking while looking at Abby.
"Yeah, of course, he is so cute!" Abby chimed.
"Yup, he is so handsome ~~" Kia chimed but stopped.
"Excuse me, your boyfriend is sitting right here, right next to you!" Mark cleared his throat and rolled his eyes.
"I know, and I love you," Kia said, looking towards him.
"Don't give me that look, you know I can't resist this cuteness!" Mark chirped, to which Xav made a face when you are completely cringed.
They are so adorable!

I was waiting at our usual sitting spot in the Stockholm library and glancing at my watch from time to time while writing. He was always the one who reached on time and I being the slug dragged my body there. But today was an exception.
"Hey! Sorry, I'm late," he said and took a seat.
We can see that.
"Yeah, it's fine, read this verse, I wrote everything I knew," I said and handed him my notebook.

"We are back from school," Vian chimed enthusiastically, holding his little sister's hand in his, dancing along the hallway entered their home.
Though his sister was 6 years old, she was as cute as a newborn with squishy cheeks. Vian, being 2 years elder than her, always protected her and never left her side in any situation.
"Let's play brother," Mia, his sister, said, to which he nodded after having their lunch.
"What about your homework?" their dad asked.
"We'll do that in the evening, pops," Mia answered excited to go outdoors to play.
"Complete your homework first, otherwise you'll be grounded," he strictly said.
After a while, Mia and Vian went to him to get their homework checked. Vian was so proud of himself for writing the verse he wanted. It was not as good as written by a writer but yet he loved what he tried to write.
"Read this verse, I wrote everything I knew," Vian chirped with a proud smile.
His dad glanced at the paper for a while and said,"What is this? Crap? Grammar is wrong! Punctuations are not right! Does this word mean anything? Ughh!"
"I'll write it again," Vian said with a sad face, tearing up the paper from his notebook. It was not his fault, he was still a small kid, but he tried to write-was not appreciated which made him sad.
"You better." His dad replied and turned his face to the other side.
˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚
"Vian, how's the verse?" I asked.
"Huh!? Great! So great! So beautifully written!" He said smiling a little and taking a deep breath with his eyes closed for a moment.
"Really? I thought this part could be explained better, but I don't know more about this so-" I explained.
"No, seriously, it's beautiful. I appreciate the effort you put in writing," he said.
"Oh, thank you, suddenly I feel good!" I said honestly as his comment made my nervousness go away.
"You don't look enthusiastic like every day, what happened?" He asked me.
That's what we ask you every day, Vian.
"Nothing, I'm just tired!" I said and yawned like a gorilla. Reality hit me and I covered my mouth instantly to which he chuckled.
"Let's wrap it up then for today? Go and take a rest and stop binge-watching series, will you?" He chimed.
"Wait- how-"
"Your eyes speak more," he said casually.
Her eyes are weak, she can't see without glasses. Hahaha-life.
We walked out of the library and I saw an ice-cream parlor there. My eyes glistened with joy.
"Hey! Ice-cream? Let's go!" I exclaimed and dragged him by his arm towards there.
"Which one?" I asked.
"Um-you can have it. I don't like it," he said simply.
"Come on everyone likes ice cream, here take this one," I said and handed him mine and ordered one more.
"Go on," I said as he looked at the ice cream like he was seeing it for the first time.
"Fine," he said, and we walked towards the bench in the near park.
"Do you want to go on that trip?" He asked making me shift my focus from the ice-cream to him.
"We can go... Do you?" I asked back.
"I'm fine both ways."
The silence took over, but it was not awkward. Our eyes met again but this time, he smiled a little, just a little and I immediately looked somewhere else. What was that feeling?
"You like this?" He asked out of the blue and I dropped my ice-cream.
Ughh! Clumsy bitch.
"What??" I asked.
"This flavor of ice cream? Blueberry chocolate? Oop-"
"Yeah! See there's another booth! Want to have another scoop?" I asked.
"Where?" He asked, looking where I pointed.
Dumb bitches, open your eyes. There.
