Fourth Year
Nicole meets Teddy where they normally apparate. Teddy embraces her immediately, and Draco and Harry walk further to enter the station.
"Hi, Nicole. It's great to see you again. Teddy kisses the top of her head. Nicole separates slightly and takes Teddy's chin in her hand. She looks into his eyes for a moment before saying anything.
"What's wrong?" She looks at him with worry. Nicole developed the ability, from her mother, to always be able to tell when something is wrong. Unable to move his head, Teddy looks around, avoiding eye contact with her.
"Nothing," he says, shrugging. Nicole forces him to look her in the eyes, and asks again. Teddy gently pulls his head out of her hand and turns away. His hand unconsciously reaches for the picture in his pocket. He visibly relaxes when his hand meets with paper. Nicole reaches her hand into his pocket and pulls out the picture. She looks at it for a moment before handing it to Teddy. He looks at her and sees that her eyes are brimming with tears. He immediately forgets his own problems.
"What's wrong?" Nicole rests her palm on his face and he leans into it as she speaks.
"I'm so sorry. Are they your parents?" Teddy nods and Nicole brings him into a hug. Teddy indulges for a moment before pulling away. He keeps a hold of her hand and they walk through the the wall together.

"Draco, can I talk to you?"
"Of course, Harry." Draco was cooking a complicated dish, only half paying attention to Harry.
"So, we got a letter from Teddy. He was wondering if he could stay at Hogwarts this break." Still moving swiftly around the large kitchen, Draco answers.
"Why does he want to stay?" Harry sniffs in deeply, and his mind wanders.
"Nicole... What are you making?"
"You'll see, now don't distract me anymore than you already are. Why don't you invite her here?"
"Okay, good idea. I'll owl him."
"Harry, we don't have an owl. Why don't we get one?" Harry clears his throat. He hadn't had an owl since Hedwig.
"Yeah, okay. Um, I'll borrow... One." Harry realizes he has no one to borrow an owl from. His thoughts wander to the jittery proud owl of the Weasley's. He immediately shakes the thought from his head, denying the despair that always comes with the thought of Ron.
"We can buy one tomorrow," Harry clears his throat and Draco looks up to Harry shaking his head slightly. Draco stops what he's doing and looks at Harry.
"You don't want an owl?"
"Well, yes. I want an owl, but I haven't had one... For years. Since..."
"Since your snowy owl? Hedwig?" Harry winces at the name and nods his head.
"I'm sorry. You must have really cared about her." Harry's throat closes up, like every other time the lost are a topic of conversation. Draco realizes Harry isn't ready to talk, and drops it. The room falls silent as Draco returns to his cooking.
~~~~~
"Teddy agreed. She's coming for the whole break."
"How long?"
"Two weeks from now, and she'll be here for a week." Harry sent a letter to Teddy using an owl with uncanny resemblance to Hedwig. Draco bought it when Harry was out.
~~~~~
Teddy and Nicole enter the same way Draco and Harry did so many years ago. Harry answers the door cheerfully, and Nicole's nervousness quickly goes away. At least until she meets more of Teddy's family.
Narcissa walks into the happy gathering, she stands tall and silent. She regards Nicole with stern eyes, but no one else's mood falters. Suddenly, Teddy pulls her into a hug, and Narcissa's mood lightens. Nicole returns to her nervousness. After their greeting, Narcissa regards Nicole again.
"You must be Nicole." She nods and Narcissa's face breaks out into a warm smile.
Quickly, all doubts belonging to Teddy and Nicole fade away.
From then on, Nicole spent more time at the manor then she did at home. Nicole was beginning to love Teddy, and the family made her feel like she had never felt before. It made her feel like nothing bad had ever happened, or ever could. She felt safe. This family was warm and happy, and they made her feel like she was a part of it.
