~18 year old Y/N POV ~

I just have one more dragon to find. The most difficult one to find because of his colour and he definitely uses that to his advantage. He thinks it's hilarious we're sometimes I find it frustrating but not today. The others don't think it's fair either so they're helping me find him, he can literally be anywhere.

"Come out, come out where ever you are, green!!"

Yeah, I only ever call them by their colours. They have names that I can't pronounce so I call them by colour but they've never complained.

"Here's got to be around here somewhere." Black

He stayed by my side. After what red did to me a few years ago and I don't know how but I can communicate with them telepathically just like they can with one another. Plus since that day the black dragon has become rather close to me, always by my side. I always find him first in this hide and seek game, he never puts much effort into hiding, I personally think he wants to get caught.

"Hehehe." Green

That was green and I heard him so he would have to be close by for that.

"See I told you." Black

"Yeah yeah whatever smartass." Purple

He rolled his eyes at black just to have a puff of smoke blown in his face and he immediately sat on his butt to shake off the smoke around him.

I laughed and patted blacks huge arm.

"Don't be mean. You know he's a little boy at heart."

There was a series of laughs while purple just glared at me, but it was playful. I've never seen him angry with me so I know he means no harm. He bends his neck to me level with my face so his dragon eyes could stare into mine.

"Oh yeah. I could show you little boy." Purple

I tilt my head to the side with a sweet smile, batting my lashes at him.

"How?"

He moves his head to now tower over over me but his eyes to not leave mine.

"Well I could jus-" purple

"YAH!" Blue

He jumped on top of purple before he said anything more. They stumbled back together into the bushes while black shook his head.

"They're all children. No matter how old we get." Pink

I've come to learn that they're well over 400 years old and that's very old.

"But your a child a heart too hyung." Red

He chuckled at the pink dragon. Pink widen his eyes and shook his head like he was startled but then his lower jaw curved upwards, meaning he was smiling.

"That's the most beautiful thing you've ever said to me." Pink

He pretend to remove a fake tear by his eye with his clawed finger while red chuckled again and black just rolled his orange eyes.

"Don't start saying stuff like that! We'll never hear the end of it!" Blue

He jumped back over from the bushes with purple by his side.

"Yeah it's bad enough y/n called him beautiful. After three years we still never hear the end of it." Purple

I laughed at him while pink just huffed out some smoke in purples face again through his nose and walked onwards. Totally ignoring the comment purple made.

There was a loud thud and we all stopped, even pink who now stood ahead. Black pulled me back into him with his tail while red and blue stood in front of me. Over the years they've become very protective of me at even the littlest of unknown noise.

"I found him!!" Yellow

The dragons relaxed and greens laughter bellowed out around the trees. I ran forward towards yellows voice and through the bushes to find yellow pinning green to the floor as he wriggled around on the ground.

"I'm coming!!" Blue

He glided above my head to land on top of yellow as they laughed. Purple joined while I sat on the floor watching them wriggle and squirm around each other. Black lay next to me, pulling me into him with his tail again while red and pink sat on each side.

There's something I've been hiding from them and I need to tell them. This would actually be my last day to ever tell them and I'm worried about their reaction. I love them all dearly and I didn't want to hurt them in anyway.

"Y/n, what's wrong?" Red

"Yeah you look down. What's on your mind?" Pink

I heard yellow gasp and push purple away from him to bounce over on his four legs and sit on his bum with wide orange eyes.

"Your sunshine is here to cheer up your day! Yellow at your service!" Yellow

I laughed at his funny comment. He like to cheer me up when I'm upset or angry about something and it's always worked but today it won't because I know I'll upset not him but everyone here.

I sighed to bite my lip.

"I need to talk to all of you."

Yellow tilts his head to the side with his sad eyes that were no longer cheerful. He probably senses he couldn't cheer me up this time and that in its self would worry him.

One by one did they all come strolling back over to sit in a line, waiting for what I had to say.

"What wrong?" Green

Now he tilts his head too, watching me for any sort of clue to why I would all of a sudden be sad and need to talk with them. I sighed again to look down at the ground.

"After today I have to leave."

They all gasped and shook their heads rapidly. Black even pulled me into him much more closer and kept me there with the pressure in my stomach.

"What! No!" Green

"You can't leave!" Blue

"I have to. It's the next journey I have to take in life."

"Where are you going?" Red

I looked up at him as he towered over me, sitting next to me with his body facing forward but his eyes trained on me. He didn't seem angry or upset by his tone of voice but serious and tense was his body language and his voice deepened.

"I'm going to university. To gain the qualifications I need to become a OB/GYN. It's always been the dream."

And that's true, I've always wanted to have a career in helping pregnant women and bringing their children into the world safely. It's always been fascinating and my mom use to do that before she had me.

"If that's what you want y/n." Red

"What are you talking about?! She can't leave us!" Purple

"We won't let you leave y/n." Yellow

I sighed again and fiddled with my fingers.

"I'm so sorry. I don't want to leave any of you, really. It's just I have to do this BUT I can still come during the holidays to see you all."

I tried to remain cheerful but only black huffed and blue rolled his eyes.

"That's not good enough." Black

He mumbled, laying his head down to the floor. He's sulking now, I can tell. In fact they all are, no matter how hard red is trying to hide it but I see right through him.

"So this would be your last day with us?" Pink

I nod refusing to look up at him but when I didn't finally look up to all of them they were all exchanging looks and nodding. If they thought I wouldn't notice, they're wrong because I did. I just didn't know what that meant.

"Well let's go play some more then!" Yellow

He jumped up waving his tail behind him side to side as if a dog that's excited to play. I giggled at him and stood up, pushing blacks tail off me. I ran up to blue and tagged him on the chest and then running away laughing.

"Oh game on y/n!" Blue

"Everyone scatter!!!" Pink

I laughed harder and began running faster. I'm gonna miss these dragons and I love them dearly. I'll come back to see them obviously but today I'll just enjoy our time together.
