Eldin Volcano
A Goron tunic was in front of Volga by the time he awoken. He blinked in confusion as he stood up, lifting it up with the scale. "Thank you?" he said as JellyD was ready to take him back to land. Volga hopped into the water and with the help of the scale, dived under with the Parella as he took hold of JellyD. They swam back the way they came and said their goodbyes on the ground.
"It was nice guiding you." JellyD said. "Lady Faron left a gift in that tunic of yours."
"It was nice as well. Thank you JellyD for helping me." Volga waved goodbye as the Parella returned underwater as Volga sat on the grass, shaking the tunic until he saw a scroll land. This was in newer Hylian as he could understand it.
Ballad of the Goddess
Will guide in your aid
To go to the land in the sky
Play the song
And you'll be whisked into
The sky
The Dragon groaned as he didn't understand it. Ballad of the Goddess? What even is that? How could he play it. A old memory awoken in him as Stephanie always sung it to him. "Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess,
unite earth and sky, and bring light to the land."
He never knew who the servant is. Unite the earth and sky always made him pondered at night. He laid back on the grass as he felt the sun shine onto him, making him warm. "What does the Ballad mean?"
"A hero from the sky will appear and unite The Surface and SkyLoft into one. The Surface was called Hyrule one time during the Era of Time. I grew up down here."
The teen rolled his eyes as he stood up, gathering his things. "That's obvious. Don't you think I'll encounter the hero down here?"
"A possibility. A hero is the same in each Era as in the Era of Time. The Hero of Time was named Link. Link, Link, Link..." Volvagia went on to say the name much more as Volga trudged through the woods once more to Eldin Province.
Being home again was unbearable. The heat he hasn't felt in years appeared as it was scorching the flesh. Volga started walking around as he looked around. He never been to this part of the province. The Volcano part was dangerous and if it erupted...
No. He's focused on his goal of finding Eldin and gaining the Dragon guidance. The blood of Volvagia. He summoned his wings as he flew upward, looking around. The heat was killing him as he felt sick to his stomach. The heat from the caves weren't as bad as the volcano's.
"Don't give up now. Push yourself." Volvagia said.
"I-I can't..." He crashed into the summit, breathing too hard. His lungs felt like they would collapse any minute now. He heard a strange noise and saw the red creatures from his encounter with them four years ago. "No..."
"Bokoblins. Take them down with your fire."
"Fire?" Volga stood back up, the Goron tunic not strong enough for this heat.
"Get angry and inhale, a hissing sound should be heard then scream."
The blonde was soon surrounded by the Bokoblins as he started getting angry, inhaling as a hissing sound started being heard. He's ready to scream as his voice rang across the Volcano and fire emerged. Volga started coughing hard as the Bokoblins retreated, smoke coming from his mouth. "O-owwww..." he groaned and coughed more. His insides were burning, mostly his lungs and esophagus. He squeezed his eyes shut and passed out from the heat.
-----
Volga awoken in a cave as he was in more pain. He felt his ears as he felt small earrings on both his pointed ears then saw Eldin. The Dragon didn't need him to introduce himself as the spirit of Volvagia emerged. "Volvagia." Eldin said as the lava serpent went around the teenager. Volga was surprised as he was brought to Eldin's eyes. "Little boy I saved you quickly. I see you're Rena's son."
"Rena?" His pale eyes widened.
"Yes. She is of the fire clan." Eldin closed his eyes as he smiled. "She was so beautiful until a human from the sky came down here. Rena was going to eat the human but he changed her mind. She fell in love with a human. It seems that when she mated, she was ill. All the dragons thought the dragonet would die in the egg as a Orange dot was on the front. Rena took the egg away from her village months later before the egg hatched. You must be her egg."
"I am...?" He looked up at him. "Eldin, what happened to my mother?"
"Rena returned to the village and said the dragonet died. She had to mourn for you when she gave you up. No egg with a defect would survive. I'm amazed you had. It must be your blood."
Volvagia rolled his eyes. "I saved him, Hylia sent me."
The Dragon deity nodded. "Volga, being of the dragon race you will live for long periods of time-"
"Sir, who is my father?" Volga interrupted. "I need to know."
"You will find him once you go to SkyLoft." Eldin replied. "He was a crafty man. A Knight even. We had a boy who came through before you had and his name was Link."
Volvagia was surprised as he looked down. He knew this wasn't his Link. This was the Era of Sky Link, not Era of Time Link. Volga noticed the change of him and pet his snout. "You'll reunite with him one day." he said as the lava serpent nodded, feeling better.
"Volvagia guide your reincarnation well. Don't make him die." Eldin chided as a scroll appeared, going to Volga's grip. "Volga, I suggest you rest before venturing out. The earrings I gifted you with will protect you on your way out of the province. I suggest not returning to the caves until you're nineteen. You have a job to do in the sky."
"Yes sir." Volga nodded and laid down on the ground as Volvagia went to the back of his head. "Won't I need to travel to Lanayru Desert?"
"Yes you will. My older brother is there as you'll find the final scroll to head to the sky. The Goddess will be by your side as we have hope in you."
The teen closed his eyes and fell into the stage of sleep. Now his new destination would be Lanayru Desert and then he should head to the sky. But, he has a scroll with half the ballad on it and he doesn't know what awaits him. What if Ghirahim returns? What if he is killed before meeting his father? What of his mother?!
Questions flooded his dreams as he could barely answer them. Volvagia felt him move in his sleep and pressed his snout against his forehead, using heat to keep him down and asleep.
That helped, but not much.
