| CHAPTER NINE |

Once Xiana was sure that Drago and Zion were no longer in the small town. She made her way back to the inn to grab her gear. She made it into her room easily without being seen. She quickly changed out of the dress she had on into her Dragon's Soul armour and her royal blue cape. She attached her Dragon's soul sword to her hip before strapping on a quiver full of arrows and grabbing a bow and slinging it over her back as well. She looking into the mirror and nodded at her appearance. She thick red hair hung freely down her shoulders and her eyes glowing red in the dark of the night. She turned and left the room and down the stair. Quickly making her way to where she had stashed the new weapons she had recently purchased and strapped the new dagger to her leg.

"Here we go." She muttered to herself as she turned and walked to the inn. No longer trying to herself from the four guards positioned outside. There was more than likely more inside.

"Look, check this out." One of the guards smirked while nudging his colleague to look at Xiana walking towards them. The wind began to pick up around Xiana, making her flame red hair dance like fire on the wind. Three of the four men laughed at her until the last soldier looked up and his face paled. He knew who she was, he knew he was in deep danger. He scrambled for his blade as she stood from his seat, disturbing the other three.

"Dragon's Soul!" The Fourth muttered causing the other three to jump in reacted and grab their blades. As Xiana made her way closer, she pulled her sword from its sheath on her hip. Upon pulling his out, She hair began to shimmer like fire and her eyes glowed brighter.

" We should go, we cant beat her. It's impossible!" The fourth yelled to the other three. Just then, the guards that were inside the inn rushed out from the door after hearing the commotion. They all stood in their ready positions as they watched Xiana walked towards them. She then stopped not too far away and counted the soldiers that now stood in front of her. She counted eleven before smirking with a chuckle.

" Who sent you?" Xiana asked in a deep powerful voice, that seemed to echo through the empty, quiet streets. The men stayed quiet. " I will not ask again, who sent you?" She spoke quieter but stronger than the last. once again, the did not say a word.

" Get her!" One of the soldiers at the front yelled out before all eleven charges at her. Xiana smirked and pushed her right foot behind her left then bent her knees low. The hand which held the sword went backwards and her free hand bent at a 90-degree angle just below her chin. she pushed herself off the ground and into a run with her front foot. Her speed was nothing like the soldiers had ever seen. One second she meters away then next she was right in front of them.

Xiana dragged her sword along the dirt ground before lifting it up to fling the dirt into the first three's faces. The reached up to cover their eyes as Xiana twirled while pushed out her sword and slicing their stomachs. They fell to the ground just as the next four ran at her. She blocked the first swing and punched him in the stomach before thrusting a kick into the same stop, sending him flying backwards into the inn wall. She dipped backwards avoiding a parallel swing of a sword. Xiana put her hands to the ground and threw her legs over her head, landing with her left foot forward and back into her original position.

She made quick work of the last few before leaving only one standing. It was the fourth man that originally identified her. He stood surrounded by either the dead or unconscious bodies of his fellow soldiers. Xiana stood in front of him and sheather her sword, her hair and red dulling down.

" Now, you and I are gonna have a nice chat," Xiana said walked towards him and grabbing him by his collar. She dragged the soldier inside the inn as he struggled against her solid grip. Once inside the inn, she threw him onto a chair and stood in front of it with her arms crossed.

" Who sent you?" She asked him and he kept quiet. Xiana sighed heavily. "So we can do this nicely, or we can do it the hard way." Xiana pulled up a chair and sat in front of him.

" What is your name?" She asked him, he waited a moment. Debating if he should answer her question.

" Ryden." The man said.

" How old are you?"

"Sixteen."

"Just a boy." Xiana shook her head and leaned back in her chair.

"What are you going to do to me?" Ryden asked Xiana.

" That all depends on how cooperative you are."

" Whatever you want!" Ryden spoke desperately to her.

" Who sent you?" Xiana asked him

" King Zorander."

" Why did he take the Captial?"

" He saw an opening, he's been planning to take it for a long time."

"Is my King still alive?"

"I don't know."

" Do you know why I never killed you outside?"

" No Ma'am," Ryden spoke confused as to why she had not hurt him.

" Because there is something in your eye that none other of the soldiers held. Do you know what that is?" Xiana asked him leaning forward so she was closer to him.

" No Ma'am,"

" Innocence. Kindness. I see potential in you. But working under King Zorander is not the way to achieve that." Xiana told him as her face softened down. This put him at ease.

" I'm going to make you an offer," Xiana told him standing up from her chair. "You know how King Zorander's army works. Change sides, come with us and fight for the side of good and the just."

" I don't..." Ryden muttered softly thinking seriously about the offer.

" I will train you personally. I will help you improve and prosper. And when we win, which we will. I will take you on as my apprentice permanently."Xiana told him kneeling down in front of the boy, whose eyes showed conflict. "In return, you tell us everything you know about King Zorander."

"Okay," Ryden said as they both stood up at the same time. "I accept." They both shook handed and smiled.

" Wonderful now let's get you changed from that horrid uniform," Xiana said taking him to her room for a change of clothes.
