| CHAPTER FOUR |
Yara flew through the air as quick as she could with Zion ad Xiana on her back. There was an eerie silence the surrounded them as the wind zoomed past their ears. The horrid feeling in the pit of Xiana's stomach was something she was unpleasantly familiar. All she could hope for was that her feelings were false and her worries pointless.
"Faster Yara," Xiana spoke to her dragon, pushing Yara faster through the skies to the capital. When they began to approach that could hear the screams of people below.
"What's happening?" Zion called our worried as his eyes scanned the capital to see people running around like madmen and fire eating away at some of the house and buildings below.
" I do not know but we must locate the King!" Xiana called as Yara turned harshly towards the castle. Xiana could see that whoever was attacking the city had reached the castle. Yara let out an alright roar as she flew towards to castle. You could here someone from the ground yell dragon as the came into sight.
"Yara! meall teine!" (Ball of fire!) Xiana yelled loudly as Yara pushed out her wings to bring them to a complete stop, hovering just above the castle grounds.
" Hold on," Xiana said to Zion, as she turned slightly so he could hear. His grip around her waist tightened as Yara drew in a loud breath. When she stopped there was a moment of eerie silence before Yara released a wall of fire. Screams could be heard from below as the fire ravaged the intruders. They then flew to the roof before Xiana and Zion jumped off Yara's back.
"We have to get to my room so I can change from this dress. From there we will head quickly to your quarters before searching for the King." Xiana said as she walked over to a wood door. "Stay very quiet and hopefully we can avoid fighting. But if we need to leave it to me, we have to be as quite as possible."
"Lead the way." The prince said as Xiana grabbed the bottom of her dress and ripped it off. Showing off her silky white legs to just above the knee. She three the material a side and looked up to the prince who was looking away with a deep blush on his face.
"I high doubt you've never seen the legs of a woman before. Stop acting so modest." She told his causing his to blush even deeper as she quietly opened the door and listen for any signs of the intruders. Most of the way to Xiana's chambers was clear with no trouble at all. But at the doors of her room, two men stood guard. They must have figured out she was not in her armour and knew she would come back for it.
"What are we going to do?" Zion asked almost at a complete lose. Xiana smirked.
"No man can resist a woman." She muttered as she lived her dress further up her thigh to show more of her leg. She lifted her cloak on her back up and over her red hair. She then walked over to the corner and whistled to catch the two guards attention. She put one bare leg out from behind the corner to entice them, before stepping out and with a single twirl.
" Hey boys, that looks like very hard work you both are doing." She muttered in a smooth voice as they watched her with thirsty eyes. Xiana stepped closer to them.
" How about a little reward for you both?" She said to them as she stopped just a step away.
"With those silky legs of yours. I would never say no." The man said in a thirsty deep voice. He reached a hand forward to take of the cloak on her head to reveal her bright red hair. The shock on the men's faces where comical as she grabbed the first mans arm and twisted it before bringing up her foot to kick the second in the face. Then keep the leg in the air she threw her knee into the stomach of the first man she was holding.
" Dragon soul!" One cried as she twisted the first mans arm till it broke and she released him. She twisted around and punched the second on the throat and then in the stomach as he fell to the ground. She the punched both on the hard in the face to knock them out.
" Come on Zion. We don't have much time." Xiana said before opening her door and walking into her room. The place had been trashed leaving only her armour up on the stand. Her paper work was laying all over the floor along with her clothes that had been ripped from the wardrobe.
" Help me." Xiana said as she pointed to the ties on the back of her dress. Zion was hesitant at first but reluctantly walked over and lifted his hands up to untie the laces. It was a tense moment as he pulled the last of the laces undone. His soft hands brushed against the smooth silk skin of her back, causing Xiana's breath the catch in her throat. Her heart fluttered at his touch as his fingers over the dip of her spine.
As if being pulled from a dream, Zion pulled his hand away from her back and cleared his throat. A deep red blush formed on his cheeks at the realisation of was just transpired. No words were spoken as Xiana walked over to her armour and Zion turned around as she dropped her dress to the ground to releveal her naked frame. She quickly bound her chest and pulled on her underclothes, which consisted of a black shirt and trousers before pulling on her chain mail and silver armour before buckling it all secure.
"Sword." She muttered after she finished putting on her cape and rushed for her sword. She reached under her bed where she last left it and sighed with relief.
"Thank the Lord." She said as she pulled her sword from under the bed and inspected it. The silver blade was held in a dark blue sheath which led up to silver cross guard then to a dark blue handed. But the master piece of the sword was the pommel. It was of a dragon engraved into the metal spinning around a dark blue gem stone which shone brighter than most gem in exisitance.
It was known as a dragons stone. Each dragon is born with one that is passed to their Soul. Some have it made into a necklace, some a ring. But only Xiana has it in her sword hilt. She quickly strapped it to her waist and turned to Zion.
"Lets go."
