The Glass Palace
I stepped into an unknown world and all I can see is myself.
The room feels dry. It doesn't feel like water here. Strange, the water should have entered when I opened the door; but, it didn't.
The room is really strange. The walls are all made of mirrored glass. Even the ceiling and the floor are glass. I see myself everywhere and cannot figure out how big this room is. I cannot see any doors or windows.
The room is empty. All I can see is a small wooden box kept in the center of that infinite hall. I walk carefully, not to slip on the smooth surface. As I reach the box, I look around.
"Shall I see what lies inside the box?"
With no one in sight and no other possibilities, I open the wooden box. The wooden lid was heavy with a rusted metal latch. As I opened the lid, it made a creaking sound, like it has been closed for a very long time.
Ah! That's a wonderful aroma that enters my nose as soon as I open the box. It smells like it does when it rains for the first time. The smell of happy earth.
The box holds nothing but sand. But, it's not the regular sand. Each grain is precisely the same size.
Woah! It is changing its color depending on which angle I look at. I had, for a moment, completely forgotten about where I was and why.
I slowly put both my hands in the sand, trying to see if the box had anything else apart from the sand. Oh! What's that!
I feel something soft. I remember the touch, I can't yet identify what it is. Very slowly, I separate the sand with both my hands. I can't believe my eyes. In my hands, I have a small bushy tail.
I now know for sure, what it is.
It is my Bushy's tail.
