Third Person POV

[ ] = Achilles "speaking".

Achilles eyes flickered open as the morning sun begins to peer through the windows. He soon got up and yawned, and soon fell down on his side.

Achilles (thought): Ah great, hello crippled legs. How I have not missed you...

Achilles soon let out a small whimper for help and Miho soon woke up to find Achilles in his predicament.

Miho: Achilles!

Miho soon jumped out of her bed before getting Achilles up and checking if his legs where damaged.

Miho: Couldn't you have waited till after I woke up to cause trouble?

Achilles: [No.]

Miho smiled before getting up and began to get herself ready for the day ahead. As she did Achilles tried to walk a bit more to get his back legs back. He remembered the struggle Miho had to go through to help him get up the stairs and he vowed to try and get out of this car as soon as possible. As he did, Miho soon finished her preparations and grabbed the leash.

Miho: Achilles!

Achilles complied and jogged over towards Miho who soon puts on the leash and grabbed her book bag. And with all the supplies needed, the two soon left the apartment and began their walk to school.

As they soon began to come closer to the school a cry of distress behind Miho and Achellis soon got their attention and the two turned to see Saori carrying a very sleepy Mako along with Yukari who gave Saori a .

Saori: Hey Miporin...... good morning Achilles...

Yukari: Good morning!

Achilles (thought): Is she really that heavy?

Miho: Are you ok?

Mako:...she wanted to prove she is strong....

Yukari: She wouldn't let anyone help.

Saori: I...thought...I...could do it.

Achilles (thought): Well start small, then build up. No one can pick up a person with no prior workout.

Miho: Here, let me help.

Miho soon approached Saori and Mako, however Mako shook her head and soon got herself up and slowly pet Achilles back.

Mako: Dog is soft....

Achilles (thought): Oh for Christ sake.

Saori: Mako, you need to get up earlier.

Mako: No....

Yukari: But your credits.

Mako: I need sleep....

As the three continue to talk Achilles noticed Miho was watching with a sad face on. Achilles soon bumped his head into her legs and she looked down in sadness.

Saori: Miporin?

Miho: Hm?

Yukari: Are you ok?

Miho: Yeah, lets go. We don't want to be late.

The rest of the girls gave a slow nod and soon the group was off again towards the rest of their day.

It was now lunch time and Achilles was sleeping next to Miho who was eating her lunch near the tank in the tank shed. With her are Mako, Hana, Saori, and Yukari all with their own lunches as well. As the group chatted and ate, Achilles began to stir as his legs where beginning to cramp.

Achilles (thought): God, I hate being in this wheelchair.

Achilles soon began to stretch and Yukari pet him on the back. A smile spreading across her face.

Yukari: I still would like to do senshado with my friends, after all its a lot more fun than I thought it was.

Saori: Yeah, this is way better than whatever the other girls are doing.

Hana: I agree, I just hope my family would see it that way.

Yukari: They will, just believe in yourself.

As the girls continued to talk Achilles continued to watch Miho. After what happened on the ferry ride back home and the walk to school this morning, he could sense something was wrong. He continued to do this as Miho stayed mostly quiet throughout the conversation. Achilles began to doze off a bit while Saori was talking about how riding the tank was hurting her behind among other things when Miho finally spoke up.

Achilles POV

Miho: Yeah, it was fun. But I guessed I really just focused on winning......guess that's why I tried to avoid it when I lost.

Yukari: I saw that match on TV.

I soon saw Miho cringe, probably the thought of that day. I could understand. She continued the sour face until finally Yukari spoke up again.

Yukari: I don't think what you did was wrong.

Well no sh*t Sherlock, she saved lives.

I could see this brought Miho's spirits up, but I couldn't understand why she felt bad about loosing. As I continued to watch the group talk I couldn't help but wonder why her sister didn't help her. After all, the two seemed inseparable before the match. As my mind continued to wander, I felt a glance coming from Miho and I knew what she wanted. I slowly made my way over to her spot on the tank and gave her a little nudge to which she slowly let her hand on my head almost in search of comfort. I could see she was contemplating on something so I nudged her hand and she gave me a deep breath in reply. She than began to tell the other girls what happened. How the tank in front of her's fell into the river. How she got out of her tank to save them. How because of her actions she has cost them the match and eventually lead to her expulsion. All the while they listened, intently at that, and when she stopped Yukari set a hand on my back and lightly scratched it.

Yukari: Well, if I had to guess. I would predict that the people you saved are grateful that you did.

I saw Miho brightening up at this, a small smile crept onto her face.

Miho: Yukari......thank you.

After a small silence Yukari began to burst out in happiness, somehow culminating in her tightly hugging me like a pillow much to my and Miho's surprise.

Yukari: I can't believe Miho said thank you to me!

Suddenly Yukari stopped and looked with a blank stare. Then she turned back to Miho, me still in her iron grip.

Yukari: Wait, didn't you say thank you when I did recon?

Mako: Sergeant Oddball.

Yukari: Stop saying that!

The group laughed and soon the talking commenced in full again. I turned my head from my prison to see Miho smiling. A smile that I loved. A smile I am prepared to give my life for.

Practice a has mostly been the same as usual. Everyone practiced hard, the freshmen continue to disappoint me with their upper body strength, the student council was running the practice as usual, and I was helping push shells on a wagon as the tanks used the firing range. Soon the whistle blew for practice to end and Miho was back to scratching my head, have I ever told you how much I love head pats, as her friends talked about how great the day was. Suddenly Yukari came to us and knelt down, placing a hand on my ear.

Yukari: Say, Miho?

Miho: Yes Yukari?

Yukari: You know how that we have a match soon against Anzio, right?

Miho nodded, her fingers growing stiff with thought.

Yukari: Well, hypothetical question. If I where to go on a recon to Anzio, can I take Achilles with me?

Miho and I stopped what we where doing, and looked at Yukari. She soon began to chuckles nervously however Miho simply smiled.

Miho: Well, if he's comfortable with leaving me I guess.

Yukari looked at me with anticipation and I decided to go with it. I gave her a little headbutt to which Miho soon replied.

Miho: He's comfortable.

Yukari: Great!

Miho soon gave her my leash as well as instructions on how to help me if I panic. After that talk Yukari clipped on my leash and soon we where off to do recon.
