Chapter 5
Dimi glanced over her shoulder, determination burning in her eyes. "Don't worry, I promise I'll get your freedom." She uttered out, her voice just loud enough for the both of them to heat. "And I never back out on a promise."

Wondering through the forest, Dimi let her thoughts wonder. Though she mainly thought about the village. It was obvious that the mayor had some type of hold over the citizens. No whole village is that happy unless the people in it had some sort of... reconditioning.
As Dimi walked through the forest, she noticed a large gray structure in a clearing. Heading towards it, Dimi assumed it was the cave that the mayor had been talking about.
Walking through the forest, she reached her hand out and focused on an image of one of her swords. Once it appeared in her hand no too long later, she started swinging it to chop down some branches that were in her way, watching as some small branches and leaves were chopped right off, revealing a clearing with the mouth of the cave not too far away from her.
Walking up to it, Dimi took a deep breath. "Well, I probably should go in, I do want to get this job done." Walking into the mouth of the cave, she grabbed a torch that was fixed at the entrance, using it to light her way as she walked deeper. The only sounds around her was the occasional echo from a water drip. Until something else made it's way to her ears.
A woman's screams.
Gritting her teeth, Dimi pushed off the ground, starting to run towards the source. Though just before she got to it, she was stopped by a dead end.
Catching her breath, Dimi closed her eyes, waiting for another scream.
When she heard it, she opened her eyes again. Below me? Then that must mean there's a way down. She thought. Though before she could move to find a way lower, Dimi felt a hand get placed on her back. And before she could turn around to see who it was, the world turned black.

"-ey! Hey! Wake up, miss, please!"
Dimi groaned as someone shook her awake. Opening her eyes, she was met with a dimly lit room and a distressed looking woman. Sitting up, Dimi yawned. "Where am I? And how long was I out?" She asked, looking towards the woman with a bland look on her face.
"Thank goodness you're awake. He doesn't like it when we sleep to long." The woman muttered.
"You didn't answer my question." Dimi said, standing up and stretching. "Where am I? And How long was I out?"
"You're in the mayor's cave. And only for a few hours, I think. I don't really know what time it is when I'm down here" The woman responded. "There's no way to escape. It' s tried, this room cancels out all types of magic."
"Good. Hopefully it wasn't too long. I'm assuming it was the mayor who put me in here." Dimi said, mostly to herself. "And damn, if there's no magic, that means I can't access my weapons." Plopping down on the ground and sitting with her legs crossed, her chin resting on the back of her hand as she tried to think of a plan. I don't want to open a portal to get out of here just yet. If I do that I won't get to know what's happening. I guess I don't have to know, but honestly, if I don't find out I'll be wondering about it for the next thousand years. Plus it'll just happen to more unsuspecting people. Not to mention if this room cancels all type of magic, It won't be that easy just to open a portal without question, especially with that woman here. With a sigh, Dimi leaned back, her hands grabbing onto her knees for support. "Guess we'll just have to wait for the right moment."

What felt like a couple hours later, Dimi heard some footsteps. The woman in the room with her started to whimper, and Dimi knew that someone dangerous was coming. Tensing up, she looked towards the doorway, her eyes narrowed as the sound of footsteps got closer.
"No, no. Please no." The woman muttered, and Dimi glanced over to her trembling body.
Gritting her teeth, Dimi felt anger rise up. Whoever was doing this had no idea what they were going to walk into.
It didn't take long for the figure to show themself. It was the same exact man who she had met earlier in the day. The mayor.
"I see you're of the land of the living, young wizard." He stated. "Please, follow me."
Dimi stood up, her hands were balled in fists, but her face showed no emotions on it. Walking forwards, she glanced towards the woman who was cowering in the shadows, more anger boiling up in her chest. She was going to defeat this man if it were the last thing she did. It's a promise.
