Hi I'm Ruby and I wanna go on a trip, a long trip. I want to leave Connecticut. And it's not becouse of my city or my home. I want to find my real parents. I know my family loves me but I feel that I don't fit in and need to know what happened after my birth.
It was planned for months and today was the day.
I waited till my parents had gone to work becouse I new if I'd say goodbye they would stop me. So I left a note:

I'm sorry Mum and Dad I know you love me and I love you too but I had to leave you to search for my real family. Please don't try to find me and don't be sad, I want you to be happy. Becouse I love you

The one thing I couldn't leave at home was my lovely Spider. Her name is Iris she is a P. Metallica Tarantula and she never left me over four years. I got teased a lot in school becouse I'm 'different', so I always took her with me. Everybody was scared of Iris, she was called a monster but we didn't care. So I put her on my shoulder.
I took my favourite backpack and started at the train station. I only heard Europe in the discussions of my parents so I took the train to the airport.
I was thinking about my family but I also thought about was was going to come.
At the airport I struggled to get Iris trough the security.
But the security man thought it was a plush.
So I rushed to my plane and made myself comfortable at my seat.
All those questions ran trough my mind. What if they don't want me? What if they don't remember who I am? What if they are already dead?
My eyes started to water but now there isn't time to return.
My eyes closed and I fell into a deep sleep. At first I couldn't tell if the things I saw were real or just dreams but I saw a dark silhouette. Like a human but he looked stronger and had horns and the man smelled like blood.
I could feel my skin peel of and the man always repeated the words "DON'T VISIT US. GO BACK!" I snapped out of my dream and took deep breathes. My whole body was full with sweat and when I looked to my right nobody was there. The man in black disappeared. It was just a dream.
And the flight was over soon.

ur plane landed in Italy. Iris hid in my backpack. Before I got to the city I had to travel trough a forest. It looked still from the outside but I didn't know till now. I took a step in the light shined trough the branches of the high trees and projected a beautiful picture on the forest floor. I could hear the birds sing and see there feathers reflecting in the sunlight. Then I looked to the ground and saw all those beautiful and colourful flowers that moved with the rhythm of the wind.
But not even a second later I felt something hard hit the back of my head. My sight got black.
As I woke up everything was dark. Was it already night? I didn't know how much time went by and I checked on Iris and gave her some food. She crawled up my arm and placed herself on my right shoulder near to my neck. When I looked back there wasn't anything, no light, no exit of the forest. Just a black wall, but everything else was the same, just darker! The things that were birds are now just black creatures with horrible screams. "Hello? Anybody? Help!" Nobody answered. The only thing I heard were those black demon things. Not aware of anything that could happen I took silent steps forward. It felt like somebody was watching me! Should I run? I ran, I ran as fast as I could. While I was running I heard the voice of the black man again "IT'S YOUR FAULT!" "YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!" "WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!" I closed my eyes and stopped thinking about that. I just ran. And then I opened my eyes again, I stood in front of a sign wich said "Venice". My fear was like pushed away as I looked at the wonderful city. It was stunning and so beautiful. The reflections in the water and all those colourful houses and bridges. But than my fear came up again and I began to sweat as I felt something behind me. And so I turned around to look at the forest once again, it disappeared like it was never there. The forest was gone and all I could see was a street with cars like every average city has. Am I'm hallucinating? What is happening?
