Once everyone settled in the upper lab, Frisk decided to answer. Sans was already so stressed from the prank and the tapes. Besides the resets were their ability. "So you know how my soul is one of determination?" They asked. Alphys nodded. "Well, as you know, determination is the strongest trait. Because of it, I'm given this... power. I can reset time to any given point, going as far back as to when I first fell." They explained. "Every time I die, I just go back to when I was alive and try again. That's what you were witnessing during the prank in the hall. It's how I knew how to make Sans mad and where he would be... I’ve done it all before, hundreds of times." They swallowed thickly. It went dead silent as they processed this. "You've... killed us all before." Undyne said lowly. "Now you see why Sans hates me... he can remember the resets. He remembers every time I killed every one of you, every time I killed him... he always fights back though. He's killed me more than I've ever killed him. If I couldn't reset... he would have killed me when I first left the Ruins."

"D-determination ghost?" Frisk shrugged and sighed. "Their name is Chara, sometimes I call them the Player. They like to use my curiosity against me to do bad things like kill. And by the time they are satisfied, my LV is so high that I can't. I finish until there's nobody left and reset again. Sometimes to do a pacifist route like this one, sometimes to do genocide all over again." They replied.

I wonder, if I reset to the beginning right now, would you forget again?" Sans found himself pinning Frisk the the wall. "don't ya fuckin dare, ya lil cunt!" He hissed at them with venom in his voice. "SANS." The skeleton flinched. "yeah boss..?" He didn't release Frisk. "WE ARE GOING HOME." He applied a bit of pressure before releasing them. "comin boss." The skeletons left the human with Alphys and Undyne. They could decide what to do with them.
