The Gang forms pt 1
Long ago in a parallel world to ours, there was a group of mismatched individuals: a Buddhist Monk named Tripitaka, a celestial turned pig named Pigsy, a River Demon named Sandy, a rabbit demon named Rita, a Jade Princess named Persephone, and a somewhat feral Monkey King named Macaque came together for to bring some scrolls to the Buddha himself in the journey to the west.
Tripitaka was walking along the dirt road when he noticed someone wearing cream and jade colored robes. Walking closer to the stranger, he took a moment to assess them. Long inky black hair, marble-like skin, amber eyes...more feminine presenting. How peculiar.
Tripitaka was walking along the dirt road when he noticed someone wearing cream and jade colored robes. Walking closer to the stranger, he took a moment to assess them. Long inky black hair, marble-like skin, amber eyes...more feminine presenting. How peculiar. Walking up to her, he looks down at her. "Now what are you doing here?" He asks unsure as to what would be up at the moment with her.
"Oh I'm here to travel the world. Secondly, I want to meet the monk Tripitaka." She responds as the monk looks stunned. She wanted to meet him and wanted to help him out to get the scrolls to the Buddha.Watching her stand up, Tripitaka notices a book that she seemed to possess. It was a dark leather bound cover. It was interesting to look at.
"I'm Tripitaka. Wait that means that you're a part of my pilgrimage. Welcome to my pilgrimage." He says with a little smile.
The woman looks a little confused. 'This guy is way too happy. But I'm okay with it.' She thinks with a small laugh.
Packing her book into a satchel, she looks at him. "Persephone or Percy. Either or is my name." She introduces with a small smile before following Tripitaka alongside the horse.

As the duo were walking, Percy kept an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. She didn't want to risk her true identity coming out. As long as she acted human, things would probably work out in her favor in the end.
That was before hearing rambling. As they arrived at the 5 phases mountain, she looked down to see a feral looking dark furred monkey staring at them.
"C'mon, don't be so cautious! I swear I'm not a demon. I'm a trustworthy guy. Just take the seal off the top of the mountain and I'll prove it to you," he promises.
Tripitaka looks at the monkey with a deadpan expression. "I regret my life decisions now. Buddha pick me up, I'm scared."
Persephone sighs before climbing up the mountain to get the seal off. After she takes Tripitaka far enough to avoid the blast radius as the Monkey blew the mountain in half.
"Thank you for freeing me." He says with a smirk before the trio walks down the road. Now what was out of the ordinary? How about the dead quiet and then the ambush.
So the monkey basically slaughters the demons, much to Tripitaka's disgust. And after getting chewed out by the Buddhist Monk, decides to run away.
Persephone watches him leave. "I wish I had a way to keep him from fleeing." She wishes, soon realizing she should probably keep the wishes to herself as she soon felt something drop in her lap. It was some new clothes and two gold bracelets that seemed to have instructions.
When the monkey returned, she presented the clothes and one of the bracelets to him. What they didn't know is that the bracelets acted as a set of handcuffs, keeping the monkey and Persephone bound.
The monkey attempted to remove the bangle and looks at her. "You dare to keep the Monkey King, Six Eared Macaque on a leash? Really Guanyin?" He asks before smirking. Macaque thought that if he buttered the lady up, she'd free him.
