On Thursday, Frank was in a happy mood when he entered class.

"Felix, you're early"

Jodi smiled at him, taking back the book she had put to save him a seat next to her.

"Thanks. And am I so early? Where is Jordan?"

"No idea. If he doesn't come here in five minutes, pack your bag"

Frank looked at Jodi puzzled, that was busy solving a chemistry problem.

"Why?"

"Because he's probably pulling a prank and we'll need to evacuate"

"Are you serious?"

She shrugged, without looking up, and writing the answer to the problem with a little flourish at the end.

She has a pretty handwriting.

Very beautiful, indeed.

"I've spent enough time with the 3J to know what to expect"

So... should we be scared?

Well, let's wait five minutes.

Lucky for them, Jordan entered the classroom three minutes later.

"Felix, are you paying attention?"

Frank shook himself out of his daydream and turned to the girl that snapped her fingers in front of his eyes.

"Sorry, Jodi, I wasn't. Can you repeat, please?"

Jodi had a faint smile when she answered.

"It's so weird spend time with a guy who says sorry, please and thanks. Don't get me wrong, it's nice, but I'm not used, since these morons are too stupid to remember the rules of civilization"

Jordan and Jay looked at her with a scowl.

"Hey!That's not nice!"

Jodi raised an eyebrow at them, with her arms crossed.

"Do you want me to withdraw my offer?"

Both immediately righted their posture with a neutral face.

"Never mind"

Frank was still a little lost.

"What offer?"

"That's the part where you zoomed out. The exams are coming, and I'm helping these stupids studying"

She pointed to Jordan and Jay, waiting with her beside Frank's locker. Jay smiled like a mad scientist, joining his hands and grining over them like he had a evil master plan.

"That's our secret to pass exams: Jodi. Maybe, if you prove your loyalty, we can allow you to join us and take advantage of it"

Prove our loyalty? I thought we were friends.

What kind of proof?

Jodi smacked Jay on the side of his head.

"I'M the one helping, so I get to decide who I want to help. Don't tempt me to let you by yourself"

Percy joined them when they were on their way to lunch.

"Hey, guys!"

Jordan saluted Percy with a wave of his hand.

"So, Johnson, are you joining us to 'Jodi's magic teaching'?"

"That'sa nice ide..."

Jodi interrupted Percy.

"Johnson is out"

Jordan and Percy yelled together.

"WHAT!?"

Jodi answered without turning her head to look at them.

"I won't help you study for exams"

Percy was just lost.

"Why not?"

"Because Annie is going to do it"

It was difficult to say which boy was more surprised. Jordan and Jay just thought it was unlikely that the princess of math would help a troublemaker. Percy and Frank knew Annabeth would help her boyfriend to study, they're trying to understand how Jodi could know that. Since Percy was still lost, his answer to that statement was simple.

"What!?"

Frank asked what Percy was probably thinking.

"How do you know that?"

Jodi answered while looking at her nails, acting completely bored.

"I talked to her"

Frank could see Percy taking a deep breath to calm down.

"You talked to her about WHAT?"

"About she helping you study"

"And..."

"And that's all you're getting from me. You want to know more, you ask her, since you two are sooooo close"

She smirked at Percy, and he was having a hard time controling his anxiety.

"Jodi, I'm warning you, as a friend..."

"I'm not afraid of you, Peter. I've known you long enough to know that your bark is worse that your bite"

Yes, but that's Percy we're talking about now.

Do you think she should be afraid of Percy?

Percy wouldn't hurt her, as long as she doesn't hurt Annabeth.

I admit, I like lunch.

This grub?

No, not the food. I like watching the bickering between Jordan and Jodi, with Jay and Peter... well, Percy, adding fuel to the fire.

Jordan and Jodi are always fighting, I don't get how they're friends.

Maybe she likes him.

Frank laughed along with Percy and Jay when Jodi started hitting Jordan in the head with a book, and kicking him from under the table. Their laugh stopped when they heard a groan. They turned to find Nico doubled over with, what a surprise, Skull towering over him, his fist ready to deliver another blow. In a second, Percy was up and moving towards them, yelling to draw Skull's attention.

"Hey, HEY! Why are you hitting him?"

"None of your business!"

"HEY, don't turn your back when I'm talking to you!"

In their table, Jay looked at the others.

"Is he trying to get killed?"

Frank was starting to stand up, still looking at Percy, that now was between Nico and Skull, talking.

"What did he do to you?"

Skull answered with a snarl.

"He was born to be my punching bag"

"What!? What kind of twisted son of a sea-sick lake trout are you that hits a younger boy just for fun?"

Son of a what?

Water related thing, don't try to understand, it's Percy.

Nico straightened himself, still visibly hurt, and yelled at Skull.

"That's all you got!? Come on!"

Percy sighed when he looked to Nico.

"Do you have a death wish?"

Frank faced Jason, who was standing up and moving forward. Before Jason could get there and put Skull under control, he pushed Percy out of the way and connected his fist with Nico's chest. While Nico was trying to breath, Percy moved and yanked Skull's arm, who responded with a punch on Percy's face. He stumbled back, with a hand over his eye, before saying with a skeptic tone.

"Really? You're just distributing punchs to anyone?"

"I told you to stay out of my way"

"Oh, yeah? Make me. Come on, hit me, one more time?"

Out of the corner of his eyes, Frank could see Jodi face palming, before murmuring.

"Is he really that stupid?"

She didn't know what Percy was capable of, and neither did Skull, since he was stupid enough to try to hit Percy, not noticing the little smirk the latest had on his lips. Percy easily dodged, and counterattacked, hitting Skull multiple times, without taking a break. He finished with one last move, that Frank had only seen him do it twice, against cyclops, which made Skull fall to the ground. Percy shook his swollen hand from the punchs and looked down to Skull.

"Next time, remember to stay out of MY way"

When Percy left, probably to the infirmary, Frank could see everyone, except the demigods, looking shocked to have watched someone beat Skull up. And someone so scrawny. Frank saw Will running after Percy, and when the son of Apollo faced him, he mouthed 'Nico', before disappearing through the door. Frank looked around, but the son of Hades had vanished. While he was distracted looking for Nico, Jodi grabbed his arm and started squishing it.

"Hum... what are you doing?"

"Checking"

"Hum... for what?"

"Have you been working out, Felix? You have muscles I'm sure you didn't have before. Come on, show me"

"What?"

"Show me your muscles, flex your arm"

Frank got embarrased and tried to pull his arm.

"It's noth..."

Jodi's grip tightned and she spoke throught her teeth.

"I said flex your arm"

Frank flexed his arm. She started squeezing it, before playfully hitting his shoulder with a smile.

"Hum... me likey"

Jordan and Jay jumped, flexing their arms in front of her.

"Hey, do you want to feel mine?"

"I can work out too"

Jodi sat there, looking at Frank, annoyed.

"Now that you have muscles, can you please knock them out?"
