Chapter 2: Suffering is Pain
Bendy
I sit in a little white cubicle with a tuckered out cat in my arms. He flipped out a couple of weeks ago attacking Sheba's client, Oswald. We were afraid all the progress we made from the two would vanish, but looking at them now...
Everything was seemingly perfect.
I pet Felix's head gently, earning a soft purr before he opens his eyes. His eyes are still a bit red from previous nights of crying. He still feels like he might've killed the poor rabbit since he hasn't seen him since the incident.
"Hey, Sheba said she was going to switch up the rabbit's schedule so you can see him. He's fine and I'm sure he's not mad at you."
He doesn't speak. Instead he nuzzles under my chin, his ears tickling my neck. I chuckle making him withdraw quickly from the sudden vibration. His eyes flash yellow--sign that he's giving in to his instincts. His ears twitch and he raises his hand to touch my neck. I grab his hand to keep him from pulling my turtle neck down.
"Feel!"
I laugh and he snaps back to reality. His eyes return to their original black. He glances at me and his ears flatten against his head.
"I-I'm so sorry..."
"Haha, it's okay Felix. You did nothing wrong, just try to control your instincts, kay?"
"Yeah, o-okay."
He answers shyly. He's slowly getting better than last week. No progress was completely lost during the incident. Just a few hallucinations and mild hyperventilation. He's also letting others touch him though not without him hissing a bit and showing his claws. He even communicates with the others... for the most part.
The closing bell chimes over the facility, letting the staff know to lock up and leave for the night. It's been a couple of days--no it's been a couple of weeks--since I last went home. I glance at Felix. His eyes are lidded as he struggles to stay awake.
He's been doing very well since the incident so he should be fine on his own. I get up and make my way to the door, but not without hearing a quiet 'good night' from the petite cat. I bid him farewell and make my way home.
..........................................................
Saying I'm shocked would be an understatement. Immensely. I opened the door to find a completely wrecked home. Like some sort of monster tore through here. I walk into what's supposed to be my house and look around. Trash litters the floor, two broken chairs were on either side of the room, and is that a large dent in the wall?! I saw no sign of my husband anywhere.
I faintly hear a soft growl from a distance which causes my ears to ring. I stumble slightly as my head felt a little funny.
"C-cuppy? A-are you...here?"
I fall back against something. Weird, the ringing stopped and my head felt better. I look up and notice I'm in the middle of the room.
"Where were you?"
A voice resonates sending shivers up my spine. I tilt my head upwards and make eye contact with none other than my husband. He doesn't look happy. I open my mouth to speak, but he grabs my arm and pulls me to our shared bathroom. He sets me on the sink and I squeak as he forces my clothes off, searching me.
He pulls me toward him and tilts my head back. I feel my nerves skyrocketing as he stares down at me like he was looking into my soul. He lowers his head into my neck and breathes in deeply eliciting a short moan from me. I hear him growl slightly.
"You wreak of cat."
I tense slightly. He pulls back staring straight into my eyes.
"Were you in that facility again? With that cat?"
"Cuppy, it's my job. He's only my client, don't stress. And what happened here? Why is our house such a wreck?"
I fold my arms giving him a light glare. He tilts his head away from me and mumbles.
"You weren't here....and...."
I didn't catch the rest. He walks out of the bathroom with me in tow. I try to pry what he said out of him, but he would brush me off every time. Eventually, we reached the bottom of the staircase and he suddenly snaps.
"JUST DROP IT, BENDY!!"
He swings an arm back and it collides with the side of my head. The force of his arm sends me reeling back until I hit to stairs. Hard. I feel tears of pain pricking at my eyes as I place a hand on the back of my head. I felt a warm, wet, and sticky substance on my hand. My vision becomes blurry and I faintly hear Cuphead shouting at me.
The pain in my head is so intense my ears begin to ring. I could feel my heart beating rapidly. I shakily look at the hand that I placed on my head. It's red. Visions appear before me. Visions of the past few years with Cuphead.
Ah... That's right. How did I forget?
"Come here, you slut!"
It's been several years since my Cuppy became... different.
"C-cuppy... Please... S-stop."
He stopped being loving and he never smiled at me.
"C-Cuppy? Please look at me."
".... Go away, Bendy."
This headache... is but a candlelight to what he's done before.
"AHH! C-Cup, STOP! I-IT HURT--"
"SHUT UP!"
Things far worse than a concussion.
"Shit! I'm so sorry, Bendy!"
Your 'sorry's don't mean shit...
