Part 1
Kihyun groaned as his alarm went off in his ear and rolled over to semi-violently hit the snooze button. He knew he might fall into the trap of hitting snooze too many times and having to rush to get ready, he already gave himself a small amount of time as it was, but in his tired state, he really didn't care. He'd woken up from a dream that he would have really liked to finish, and that fact alone annoyed him to the point of wanting to sink into his bed and disappear forever.
"Kihyun-Ah!" He heard his mother yell from downstairs. "Get up and have breakfast, don't you dare be late again!"
Kihyun let out an elongated sigh, sitting up and rubbing the back of his head causing a few pieces of hair to stick out messily. "I was late one time and never hear the end of it..." he forced his feet over the edge of the bed and pulled himself up, groggily moving over to his bedroom door without running into any furniture and stepping into the hall, feeling the cold wood on his feet wake him up a bit more.
"Are you up?!" His mom's voice came again.
"Yes eomma! I'm up!" He shouted down before moving through the cramped hall to the bathroom. God she'd die if she lived with Hyungwon's sleepy ass... He thought of his best friend as he grabbed his towel. He placed it on the sink before wetting his toothbrush and putting some paste on the bristles. He smiled slightly as he began to brush, thinking back to his dream. Shownu was in it...
The same Shownu he saw at their transition ceremony into high school and immediately was drawn to. The same Shownu he still liked now who made his heart surge and his mind go blank. Shownu, who he was so head over heels for he even made himself feel sick.
He heaved a heavy sigh, spitting out and ringing his mouth. The dream faded from view and he was brought back to crushing reality. Not that I'd ever have a chance with him. He thought. He's cool, handsome, and rich. Most the school is in love with him, why would he choose me. He shook his head, looking back at his reflection and smacking both his cheeks lightly. "Don't let your own hansom face falter Kihyun." He spoke aloud as if prepping himself up. "We'll face it one day at a time, like always."

Kihyun hopped down the stairs after showering and getting dressed and made his way into the kitchen where his mother had a hot bowl of rice porridge waiting for him. He smiled, automatically feeling much more energized, plopping down in his seat and happily beginning to eat his meal.
"Ah, there's my handsome son, finally awake and well." His mother smiled sitting across from him with her own bowl of food and a thin book of poetry siting open in her hand.
Kihyun swallowed his food before smiling at her brightly. "Thanks Eomma." He scrunched his nose slightly in her direction, causing her to shake her head slightly, but still smile fondly at him. He knew she always meant well, he just wished she wouldn't nag him so much first thing in the morning.
"You better hurry." She stated taking a bite of her food, whilst looking back at the page she was on.
"Mhm." Kihyun hurried ate the rest before rushing to put his bowel in the sink. "Bye eomma." He gave her a quick hug and sniff kiss on the cheek before running through the hall, grabbing his bag that was on the stair banister, and rushing out the door to his car, hearing her shout for him to be careful on his way out.

"I really don't see what you're so worried about Kihyun." Jooheon spoke as they stood at Hyungwon's locker, waiting for him before first period. "It's just a party."
"Correction, It's Shownu's party." Kihyun emphasized. "Why the hell am I going again??"
"Because you promised Hyungwon." The younger replied. "You can't back out on him now, he helped you get Shownu's number, remember?"
"Yeah he tricked Shownu into giving it to me..." Kihyun huffed slightly.
"You act like he wouldn't've given it to you if you'd asked him yourself." Jooheon pointed out.
"Would he've?" Kihyun asked. "I mean come on Jooheon, he barely knows I exist."
"Maybe he would if you would actually talk to him." Jooheon pointed out. "Besides I'm sure he knows you exist, you've only been drooling over him for three years." He then suddenly smirked. "Although maybe that's not good, I'm sure your constant staring has made him feel like he has his own personal stalker."
Kihyun suddenly hit his arm. "Shut up, I'm not a stalker!"
"Ow!" Jooheon complained loudly, acting a bit over dramatic.
"Must you two be so violent in the morning..." Hyungwon asked as he approached, opening his locker. he appeared tired and slightly grumpy like he did every morning.
"I didn't even do anything, it was him." Jooheon whined slightly. "I was just teasing him a bit."
"You're supposed to be making me feel better." Kihyun fell back against the lockers in annoyance.
"What's even your problem?" Hyungwon asked.
"He's nervous about the party this weekend." Jooheon answered.
"Shownu's party." The small boy added, his face buried in his hands.
"You're the one who made me say yes to going in the first place." Hyungwon pointed out in slight annoyance. "You'd better not flake."
"I know..." Kihyun groaned. "And I won't, but like I wasn't thinking properly. Shownu and his stupid handsome face were in front of me and I acted on impulse."
"Kihyun, it's not that bad. Knowing you, chances are you won't even interact with him in the first place. Plus we're gonna try to stay together remember?" Hyungwon explained. "So please just try and relax."
"You can't lie and tell me you aren't nervous about Wonho being there too." Kihyun brought up.
"Tch like I worry about Wonho, I'll avoid him just like any other day." Hyungwon rolled his eyes.
"Yeah sure..." Kihyun muttered, being aware of the new, and admittedly sudden change in his friend's relationship with Wonho.
"We're gonna be late to class, can we worry about yall's love lives later?" Jooheon pointed out.
"Fine." They both agreed before reluctantly going to there first period.

"Kihyun." His couch addressed him during his free period where he often helped the sports club.
He wasn't really into sports, in fact he only joined to see Shownu more, but he still always found a way to help with setting up for events and things. Unfortunately he didn't even get to see Shownu that often since there was so much going on and so many students helping. He'd hoped to find some excuse to maybe talk to him more often and get used to it, but of course he was always too busy to do so.
"Yes Coach?" He asked.
"We've got enough help out here on the field, why don't you go into the gym and help the few students there with the volleyball nets. The girls have a game tonight and they need things set up sooner rather than later." His coach explained.
"Okay sure." He agreed, heading toward the building. Honestly he was happy to be going inside, the weather was giving him a headache. He slowly walked into the gym to find it empty. He looked around a bit nervously, not sure what to do since no one was there. He suddenly jumped a little when he saw someone on the floor with a volleyball net. "Sh-sh-Shownu?"
"Oh, did coach send you, finally." Shownu looked up at him casually. "Come help me untangle this."
Kihyun felt his throat swell up and his body freeze. He was like this every time he got close to Shownu. He could hear his heart beating in his ears and his hands start to shake. He hated it. It made him feel so weak for not being able to control himself around someone. Nobody but Shownu had ever done that to him before... damn it Kihyun he just asked for help, move your feet for Christ's sake! He scolded himself before awkwardly shuffling towards the other end of the net, and clumsily sitting down. He picked up the net and tried his best to get the twists and knots out. He let his eyes wander up to Shownu a few times before finally finding his voice, swallowing back a lump in his throat. "Wh-where is everyone else?"
"The track team coach came and asked them to help set up hurdles. They said they'd be back, but I guess it's taking a bit longer." Shownu responded, seeming focused on his work.
Kihyun nodded and there was another moment of silence, before he worked up the nerve to speak again. "Too bad, they left you to do the work alone."
"Well not entirely." The upperclassman responded. "You're here Kihyun."
Kihyun felt his heart swell upon hearing Shownu's voice speak his name. His mind started racing a bit. "Y-you remember my name?"
Shownu finally looked up at him, seeming mildly confused. "Of course I do. You're Hyungwon's friend right? Besides I've seen you around before that too. We're in the same club and I've seen you before around school."
Oh my god he noticed me?? Kihyun felt a slight blush dust his cheeks. Oh god! Please don't tell me he thinks I'm creepy. He wasn't sure if he should feel delighted or terrified so instead his body just mixed with both.
"Also you're coming to party this weekend right?" Shownu asked casually.
"U-uh. Yeah I'm coming." The smaller responded, cursing himself for not being able to keep his voice still.
"See, I wouldn't have invited a stranger right?" He smiled at him slightly.
Kihyun felt like he'd been hit with the force of a truck from that smile. He was surprised he didn't fall back from the imaginary force. It was so beautiful he couldn't help but stare a bit, feeling his jaw clench a bit as he fought of the need to scream. "Mhm" was all he could manage.
"Are you done?" Shownu asked.
"What?" Kihyun asked, suddenly becoming anxious about if he was staring too much.
"With the net?" Shownu asked.
"Oh!" Kihyun looked down, unfolding the last of it. "Yes, all done."
"Great go tie that end up over there." He pointed at the post across the way before standing up and beginning to tie his end.
Kihyun did as instructed waking over and tying the bottom of the net securely. However, when he tried to get to the top he couldn't reach, even on his toes. He desperately tried to stretch his body higher, but it didn't work. Fuck, why'd I have to be born so short? He huffed to himself.
He suddenly panicked when he felt someone's presence next to him.
"Can't reach?" Shownu asked with a slight chuckle. "Sorry, should have thought about that." He reached over him to tie the top of the net securely in place.
Kihyun had never been so close to him in his life. He had to back against the post in order not to be pressed against him, but he was still close enough to feel the heat radiate off of him. He felt his whole face blaze over, all the way to the top of his ears, and he swore he stopped breathing. He surely thought he would die then and there.
Shownu went back down on his feet, taking a step back and looking at him. "Kihyun are you okay?" He asked in concern. "Your face is red."
"U-uh I'm I'm fine!" The younger stuttered out. "I-I was um...just outside earlier and uh... sometimes have bad allergies. Yup just allergies..."
"Are you sure?" Shownu asked placing the back of his hand on the other's forehead. "Your burning up, I can take you to the nurse."
Sparks flew through Kihyun's body at the touch "No!" He shouted, before realizing how loud he was and lowering his voice a bit. He pushed his hand away nervously. "I'm fine really. F-free period's almost over I should get ready for class."
"Hm, you're right." Shownu stated backing off a bit more. "But hey I'll see you at my party yeah?"
"Y-Yeah." Kihyun replied, forcing a smile. Once he was out of sight and out of the gym he groaned throwing himself against the wall. Idiot! He though to himself. I'm a godamn idiot!

Kihyun was now lost amongst a crowd of dancing people Saturday night, trying desperately to keep hold of his drink. He had separated from his friends to go to the bathroom, but quite honestly didn't quite know where he was going. The amount of people jumping, spinning, yelling, and flailing around him was overwhelming and at this point he didn't even have to go to the bathroom anymore, he just wanted out. He was having a hard time finding a way however. He suddenly turned quickly to avoiding someone rushing past him and gasped as he bumped into someone else, spilling his drink all over him.
"Shownu!" He shouted in panic, feeling guilt rush through him. "I'm so so sorry!" He pulled a few napkins out of his pockets desperately trying to get any sort of the liquid out of his shirt. His hands were shaking, his anxiety sparking overboard now.
"It's fine! Really!" Shownu shouted over the music, grabbing the younger's wrists to stop him. "Don't act so freaked, it's a party Kihyun. Dance! Have fun!"
Kihyun once again felt sparks at his touch but quickly brushed them aside when he noticed the older's strange actions. "A-Are you drunk??"
"Maybe~!" Shownu replied. "Who cares, just dance with me!"
"N-no! Besides, we should clean you up first." He grabbed his arm to steady him. "Come on!"
He lead him out of the crowd, pushing his way through as gently as possible, before somehow finding his way upstairs. It was a lot quieter up there, and there were only a few people, stuck to the walls, or passed out. He managed his way to an empty bathroom, Shownu having put some of his weight on him as he slumped over a bit. Kihyun managed to sit him down on the toilet seat before closing the door. He looked around in the sink drawers and such before finding a washcloth and dampening it. He then moved over to Shownu who had slumped himself over to lean in the sink, and his eyes were closed.
I would never think he was the type to drink this much...he thought before slowly starting to press out the stain from his shirt.
Shownu suddenly came to life again sitting up a bit more properly and opening his eyes to stare at him. "I told you not to worry about it." He slurred a bit. "Besides it'll be too hard to get out, just wear a new shirt."
"Do you have a new one?" Kihyun asked him.
"Mm! In the room I stay in down the hall." He stood up and tried to walk, but stumbled.
Kihyun caught him, struggling under his weight. "I can help you, but you have to at least try to walk properly."
Shownu nodded and with the younger's help managed on his feet, leaving the bathroom and going down the hall, with his support. When in the room Shownu directed him to Kihyun let him go, him tumbling into his bed. And slowly sitting up with a few grunts and groans.
Kihyun suddenly felt really nervous, he looked around the room slightly, figuring Shownu must stay here with his aunt and uncle from time to time. He found his mind wandering to how he'd feel in Shownu's actual room and mentally slapped himself. Damnit Kihyun! You can't even look at him without losing your damn mind, stop daydreaming about nonsense! "Um..." he shuffled a bit awkwardly. "Where are your clean shirts?"
"There." Shownu replied pointing at a dresser on the opposite wall. "You pick, I don't wanna get up."
Kihyun looked down to the ground slowly moving over to the dresser and opening the first drawer. He scanned inside for a moment before picking a fairly plain T-shirt and bringing it over to him.
"Thanks." Shownu took it, automatically taking off his stained piece of clothing, revealing his bare torso.
Kihyun looked away quickly feeling his cheeks burn red. Who the hell just casual starts undressing in front of someone?? He squeezed his eyes shut, fighting off the urge to turn back. Is he trying to kill me?
Shownu laughed lightly. "So shy, go ahead, you're safe now."
Kihyun cautiously turned around to luckily find him clothed again. "W-well Sorry again for spilling my drink on you, but now that your clean, I should probably go-"
"Wait." Shownu grabbed his wrist, stopping him from walking away. "You wouldn't dance with me, now you want to leave. Stay."
"I don't know if I should, Ah-" He gasped as Shownu pulled on his wrist forcing him to sit next to him on the bed.
"You're real confusing you know that Kihyun..." Shownu spoke directly to his face.
"How's that?" Kihyun asked quite nervous about there closeness. He knew he was drunk, but he'd never seen Shownu like this before. It scared him slightly.
"It seems like everywhere I go your always in my line of vision, but whenever we get close, you disappear. What's with that? How is it fair to me?" The older asked.
"I, I don't really know what you're talking about." Kihyun replied trying to free his wrist from his firm grip.
"Your cute with that expression Kihyun." Shownu suddenly said with an odd smile. "Now that i can see you up close, you're so damn cute."
"H-huh?" he asked feeling the tips of his ears grow warm as well. "Y-you really are drunk, I think you should rest and-"
Shownu put an arm behind the smaller in the bed and leaned in closer. "Don't you dare disappear again."
Kihyun widened his eyes as he suddenly felt Shownu's lips against his. It was fast and somewhat sloppy. He could taste the bitter flavor of alcohol on his mouth, and now smell it so strongly off of him. The daydreams of fireworks and butterflies slowly faded from his mind, seeming like silly childhood thoughts from so long ago.
For as long as he could remember he'd longed to kiss Shownu, to feel his lips between his own...
But never did he imagine it'd be like this...
Hey guys, so here's part 1 of my showki ff. If you don't know this is technically book 2 to a Hyungwonho fic I wrote and finished, but as the description says it not required to read that one. Still I would appreciate if you did, and it would make fore some fun references to catch. Anyways, I hope this first part turned out okay, I was having a bit of trouble with it, and really didn't want it to feel rushed or to make the characters flat, but I hope I managed ok. I am excited to work on a new book for you guys, but keep in mind I still am working on books besides this one, so please be patient with me. Tell me what you think so far. Vote and comment, bye!
