??? POV

It was a quiet night in the city and everyone was either out doing stuff spending time with their families and friends except for one person. And that person was a 16 year old human boy named Y/n. He was homeless and trying to look for food. He doesn't have a last name because he doesn't know who his parents were because they died a long time ago when he was young.

Ever since they died he's been living on his own ever since then. Life wasn't easy for him especially being homeless and trying to find food to survive. He has been homeless for over 12 years. Anthros or other really known as furries have evolved from animals after 7 centuries ago. A lot of animals became furries with a few like sharks and wolves.

Anthros are the ones that dominate the world now. Some furries do get along with humans but others like wolves lions or bears they don't usually get along with each other for a reason. for some reason male anthros don't like humans and picks on them to the point where it gets physical. As years went by the human population has only grown slower while the furry population constantly grew.

It's a hard life being a human when society is controlled tightly ever since the furries took full control.

The city is divided into two parts the first one is where the furries live. Not a lot of humans go there unless they wish to die. The second part is the human zone where there are still some rich families but mostly people that are living there are mostly poor families that try to provide for their families.

Ever since then Y/n has been living out on the streets of the furries. It's dangerous everyday and it's a big struggle to find food while trying to avoid any contact with any furries.

Present Time

I dig inside a dumpster looking for something to eat for the night. I hated that I had to look for food at night because I wouldn't be caught by anyone. I found some small edible food that I could eat for the night. I carefully hopped out of the dumpster and begin walking out of the alleyway. When I reached the entrance of the alleyway I froze up when I heard a voice behind me.

???: "Oh look what we have here boys

Quickly I turned around and got stared down from three furries. There were two crocodiles and one shark who look to be the leader. I was scared as the group begins slowly stalking towards me.

Y/n: "Look I don't want any trouble"

???: "Well you already have trouble coming towards you kid. After we're done with you you'll be begging for us to kill you"

I screamed and tried to run away but I felt a strong body hit me in the back. Causing me to learn hard on the pavements. I felt the air got knocked out of me as I gasp for air. I tried to get a butt felt a couple pairs of Orange roughly grab me and hosted me up before I was slammed up against the ally wall facing the three guys.

???: "where you going? We are just getting started?"

The shark licks his lips with a cruel smile as I felt fear run down my spine.

Meanwhile

Nika POV

I was enjoying a nice drive with my few friends in my car. We were just having a girls night out while spending time with each other. We did pass a couple ferries walking on the sidewalk as we were passing by.

Nika: "So Dasha, any plans for this weekend?"

Sitting beside me in the passenger seat was my friend and neighbor Dasha. She was a bear and she was my next door neighbor.

Dasha: "No not really, I'm off for the next few days, so I got no plans."

Nika: "Really that's great. Glad you finally can get some time off."

Krystal: "I agree with her it's about time you had some time off"

In the backseat was my other friend Krystal. She is one of my closest friends and one of my neighbors as well. After relaxing for a little bit we began driving back home but I heard something so I started to slow down the car and stopped in which Dasha and Krystal looked concern.

Dasha: "Nika are you ok?"

Nika: "Do you hear that?"

Krystal: "hear what?"

Nika: "I can hear someone screaming and I smell blood."

Dasha: "I smell it to let's follow it someone may be in danger"

In a quick motion we all got out of the car and Dasha and I led the way. We followed behind her as we ran towards the area where the smell was coming from. When we arrive at an open alley there we see three furries kicking and beating up a human!

The human was begging them to stop while sobbing as the Anthros ignored his cries while they kept on kicking him. I felt something inside me snapped.

Dasha: "HEY!!!"

We rush towards the group and as soon as we got close enough I knocked one of the Crocs to the ground causing him to yell in pain. Quickly looking over and see Dasha and Crystal fighting the other two who weren't even trying to fight back.

Nika: "Why were you attacking that human?"

Croc: "Cuz that little abomination shouldn't be here if you dumb milfs didn't show up we would have finished what we started!"

That crock yelled at me but I quickly silenced him with the kick to the family jewels. I look back to see the human on the floor unconscious. Dasha runs up and checks on him. Krystal and I run out to her to see if the human was alive or not.

Dasha: "He is still breathing"

I signed in relief as I looked at my friend Krystal in relief. We were all glad that he was okay but we were still angry at the fact that he was beating to death for nothing.

Quickly turn around to see the three Anthros slowly getting up. Then an idea popped in my head and I smirked evily. The three guys saw me smirking at them which scared them as they started to run away.

Nika: "Quickly, get him in the car, we need to make these guys pay!"

They nodded and we ran back to the car with Dasha carrying the human. As we got into the car Dasha sat in the backseat with the human and Krystal sat in the front. We began to chase the guys to make sure that they learned their lesson. I was very tempted to fuckin run them over for what they did.

But I knew better than that so we just chased until they were gone.

Timeskip

We arrived back home at Dasha's house with human. As we got out of the car Dasha carries the human inside. Once we were all inside we set the human down on the couch and checked his wounds. His bones were showing and he had a lot of bruises all over his body.

Krystal went and grabbed a Medicaid Dasha kept her house in case of emergencies. We cleaned his wounds and bandage them up the best we could. We were all just glad that he was still alive. His wounds weren't that serious but they looked awful.

I looked over at Dasha to see that she had a sad look on her face.

Nika: "Are you okay?"

Dasha: "No I'm not, who does this just because he's human? Humans don't bother us and I don't even have a problem with humans!"

My heart breaks seeing her like this and seeing this human in pain.

Nika: "I totally understand and I can agree with you. It's disgusting!"

Krystal: "And he's homeless for crying out loud!"

I gently moved forward and pull Dasha into a hug. It pains me to see my best friend sad there was also another reason why she was getting all worked up over this human. My best friend has been wanting to start a family of her own.

The reason why I snapped at the site of the kid being beaten up was because I'm a teacher I care about kids. I don't have a grudge against humans or hold anything against them. Even my students don't even have a problem with them when I talked about human history. In fact humans don't bother me and I don't see any problems with them.

And this human was just a kid! And Dasha loves kids and she wants some of her own one day.

Krystal then soon joined in the hug. It took a few minutes to calm her down but eventually she relaxed a little bit.

Dasha's POV

I watched as the kid slept. It has been a few hours since we brought him back to my house. After a little bit of talking with the others I finally made up my mind on what we were going to do with him.

We were going to tell him when he wakes up. While he was sleeping I gently played with his hair. Looking down at him he looked pretty cute for a human.

After a few minutes of playing with his hair he then slowly started to wake up. When his eyes fully open his eyes widened in fear. After seeing me he scrambles away. He whippers and backs away from me while covering his face.

Y/n : "P-Please don't hurt me"

It breaks my heart seeing him like this. I gently move forward and rub my hand through his hair trying my best to calm him down.

Dasha: "Shhh it's okay human I'm not going to hurt you~"

After a minute it seems to work and he slowly starts to calm down. I slowly and gently pick them up and place them down on my lap.

Dasha: "What's your name cutie?"

He takes a more before he speaks.

Y/n: "Y/n ma'am"

Dasha: "It's nice to meet you Y/n, I'm Dasha, where's your parents?"

He looks down when I said this and I immediately regret asking it. Now I see why he's homeless and I felt sorry for him.

Gently I pulled him into a hug and he cries into my chest. After a few minutes he stops crying and looks up at me. I smiled down at him before wiping away is dried tears.

Before he could say anything my to best friends entered the room.

Dasha: "Y/n I would like for you to meet my friends and neighbors. Nika Sharkeh and Crystal Fox.

I introduced my friends to him who waved back at him.

Y/n: "Well it's very nice to meet you all but why am I here?"

Dasha: "Well since you are so nicely I decided I wanted to adopt you"

I watched as his eyes widened and shocked from what I said.

Y/n POV

Is she being serious right now? She wants to adopt me? Why? I'm just a human? Is she being for real is this real?

Y/n: "R-really you want to adopt me?"

As soon as I ask that her and her friend smiled at me. She done gently rubs her hand on my head.

Dasha: "Of course I do"

She spoke with a warm smile. I couldn't help myself but start crying and wrap my arms around her. She chuckles a bit and pulls me into a soft warm hug.

Y/n: "I would love to be your son!"

I cried into her chest as she hugged me back. After a few minutes we pulled away and she kisses the top of my forehead.

Dasha: "Well me and Nika are going to make dinner while Krystal will help you get a shower"

Y/n: "Ok.... M-mom"

She smiles and hugs me again this time with her friends joining in. After we all pulled away Nika grabs my hand and leads me towards the bathroom.

Nika: "Now let's get you cleaned up."

As we entered the bathroom she starts the water before helping undressed and helping me get into the tub.

I'm going to love my new life.
