Diamond woke at the crack of dawn. Pulling on her attire, she walked downstairs to bid everyone a final farewell.

As she entered the dining room, all her friends and family were waiting for her.

Hazel.
"Good luck Diamond"

Savannah.
"We're rooting for ya girlie"

Willow.
"Stay safe"

One by one Diamond embraced them before walking out the door for the last time.

Within a few minutes, a familiar red clad figure came into view. Cup was just  ahead of her.

He was wearing a red long sleeve shirt and brown slacks. A backpack over his shoulder. Mug was wearing a light blue t-shirt with darker blue pants, his bandana around his neck.

Diamond quickened her pace and ran after the boys.

"Cup! Mug! Wait up!" She called after them.
"A-Ace! What are you doing?!" Cup stammered.
"I'm coming with you, that what" she sassed.
"What!? Are you insane!? This is a dangerous mission that we're going on!"
"I realize this! But without my help, you won't even make it to the inkwell carnival"
"Oh really? What makes you think that?"
"I've witnessed first hand, what the Devil is capable of. I know the tricks he can pull, and I've met the people who owe him contracts. Trust me, you'll need me"
"Alright, but how are you gonna defend yourself?" Cup sighed defeated.
"Don't worry, I have a few tricks up my sleeve" She winked.

They started off their long journey. It would be treacherous without a doubt, but totally worth it in the end. All they had to do it take everything on, one step at a time.
