Chapter 1: New Job
Legend:
(Y/N) = Your Name
(T/N)= Team Name
Backstory: You are the son of Dante and as a result you're a human-demon hybrid. Much like your father you work as a Devil Hunter in the shop, Devil May Cry. Unfortunately you tend to get some of the more... Unusual jobs. Such is the case with your next client.
May add more later. Also, I do not own RWBY or Devil May Cry, and characters from those series need some love from you as well. Now, let's begin...
The phone continuously rang as you finished up your shower. You went out of the bathroom, wearing just your (Pants color) pants as you ran your hands through your hair to shake out all the extra water. You walked over to the desk, where the phone continued to ring. You saw the desk's chair lying on its side, so you kicked it up. It did three flips before landing on its legs perfectly as you took a seat. You put your feet up on the desk, slamming them down hard enough to make the phone jump up. You caught it out of the air and put it up to your ear. "Devil May Cry." You answered.
"Would this be the devil extermination service?" the voice on the other end of the line asked.
"That depends on who's asking." You replied. The other voice paused a moment.
"My name is Professor Ozpin." He began, "I'm the Headmaster of Beacon Academy. Perhaps you've heard of it?"
"Beacon..." You pondered, "That's in... Vale, right?"
"Yes, exactly." Ozpin answered, "Now, we have a few demon problems of our own that need to be taken care of, and I've heard good things about your services. I'd like to discuss this further in a face to face meeting. If you can make it to Beacon and meet me in my office, I assure you I'll make this job worth your time."
"Vale's quite a ways away." You sighed, "Hate to walk all the way there."
"We can send an airship to pick you up halfway, but that's the best we can do." Ozpin suggested, "Again, I can promise it'll be worth the extra effort." You were silent for a moment, pondering the request.
"... Fine." You began, "I'll head out and swing by to hear you out."
"I look forward to it." Ozpin said before hanging up. You sigh, putting the phone down.
"Why do I always get the weird jobs?" You shrugged, getting up. You walked over to the other side of your desk, about to start getting ready. Suddenly, four demons appeared, each armed with scythes. They dug the scythes into your body, piercing your arms, legs, and torso. One demon looked at you grinning. Suddenly, you pushed the demon so hard, its head popped off as it evaporated into nothing. You caught the head and started twirling it on your finger like a basketball. You then started to walk on, leaving the other three demons behind with their blades still stuck in you. You pulled one blade out as they followed you. You then threw the blade up, which cut the cord of the ceiling fan and dropped it on the demons. You then pulled out your twin pistols, Ebony and Ivory. One of them was white and the other was black. "Let's rock!" You exclaimed, charging at the dazed demons. You jumped on one's back and started riding it like a skateboard as you shot at the other three. Bullets flew everywhere as you spun on the dazed demon. You then jumped off as more showed up. You jumped up high and landed on a pool table, sending the pool balls flying ahead of you. You held up your gun and shot one of the balls, which sent it ricocheting into the others, and all the balls hit the demons hard. With several more shots, you'd killed all the demons. You sat on your desk, twirling one of your guns in your right hand. You started eating a slice of pizza, looking around at the trashed shop.
"Dammit..." You said to yourself, "Dad's gonna kill me if I don't pay to fix the damages..." You sighed, deciding you'd take Professor Ozpin's job. You got up off your desk, holstering your guns at your sides. You got ready, dressing up in your (Shirt color) shirt, (Coat color) Trench coat, and (Boot color) Boots. You also grabbed your personal favorite sword, Alastor. Alastor was a very large, double edged sword with electricity crackling all over the blade. Its hilt was shaped like a bat-like demon with the blade coming out of the demon's mouth. Your dad had given you his guns, but he wasn't gonna give you his sword until you were ready to really take over the shop. You holstered Alastor on your back as you walked out of your shop. You locked it up, so only your dad or Trish could get in, then started to walk off.
As you walked down Slum Avenue, you groaned, knowing it would take a while just to walk halfway to Vale.
"Ugh, I need a ride..." You sighed, looking around. You then noticed a motorcycle, completely abandoned, and even with its keys already in. What luck! "Heh, that'll do nicely." You smirked, coming up to the bike. You took out your sword and started carving letters into the ground. After a few minutes, you drove off in the motorcycle, leaving behind this message carved in its spot:
I need your bike.Call (Phone Number) for the money to get a new one. Thanks for your cooperation.
Getting there was much easier and faster with a bike, and you made it to the point with time to spare. After a bit, an Airship arrived to pick you up. As it landed, you sighed. 'This better be worth it...' You thought as you entered. The airship then took off, heading for Beacon.
The ride was boring, and you started wishing you'd brought some kind of game or something to do. Regardless, you eventually made it to Vale, arriving at Beacon Academy. As you walked down the halls of the Academy, many off the uniformed students gave you curious glares. Clearly, they knew right off the bat you weren't from around here. You ignored them, and eventually arrived in Ozpin's office. Ozpin was a man with silverish grey hair and glasses.
"(Y/N) Sparda..." Ozpin began, "I'm glad you could meet on such short notice. I've heard some impressive things about you... and your father."
"What's this job you wanted me for?" You asked quickly.
"Hmm, I suppose I'll get to the point." Ozpin began, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, "As you may know, here at Beacon, we teach our students to fight Grimm."
"Grimm and Devils are two different things." You interrupted, "I'm a Devil hunter. An actual Devil makes Death Stalkers and Nevermores look harmless."
"Precisely!" Ozpin nodded, "Several high-level Devils have taken it upon themselves to lurk in the Emerald Forest. I cannot have beasts that dangerous so close to Beacon's students! That's why I want to hire you to take care of them."
"Sounds easy enough..." You shrugged, "What's the catch?"
"Currently, I am the only one that knows of the Devils in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin began, "Even other teachers do not know. I want to keep this a secret for the most part. If word got out, it could cause a panic in Beacon that would only make the situation worse. Which brings me to a couple... conditions of this job."
"'Conditions'?" You echoed, crossing your arms.
"You see," Ozpin began, "I need you to be secretive about this too. As such, I'll have to require you to form a team and attend classes at Beacon as a temporary student, so your stay here won't be suspicious."
"What?!" You questioned, "No, Hell no! I'm not some school kid to go around in those dumb uniforms and dig my nose into history books!"
"Calm down, (Y/N)..." Ozpin insisted, "It'll only be temporary, so no one gets suspicious of who you are."
"No way!" You shouted, "Me and schools don't mix!"
"I know..." Ozpin began, pulling out a large briefcase, "Which is why I offer this much for you to do the job and keep it secret." You gave the briefcase a curious glare after a moment's pause. You opened it to see more Liens than you could count. With this, you could do more than repair your dad's shop, you could buy your own! You began to sweat, swallowing hard. He was speaking your language, money, and to get this much for a job as simple as killing a few devils, it felt impossible to deny the job now.
"... Alright, fine damn you." You groaned as he took the Briefcase back, "I'll get a few coworkers to come down here and make a team, and we'll attend your classes. Don't expect us to pay attention though."
"That's fine by me." Ozpin smiled, "You and your team will be assigned a dorm to stay in during your time here. When should your team be ready?"
"Give me about three days." You sighed, "We should be ready by then."
"Good." Ozpin nodded, "I look forward to seeing you in class, and more importantly, I look forward to seeing those devils disappear."
