Error's POV a few hours later

"So you are saying that you aren't really free? That you all are stuck here? How?"Nighty asks after hearing our explanation.

"Our souls are trapped in an experiment. It is why we can't summon them right now. Unless that jerk starts another experiment that requires us, we won't get back out."Killer says

I feel a pain grow in my chest.

"You guys can get out of here where you'll be safe. There has to be a way out of here."Blue says

"Where are you, Horror? If you escaped but your soul is locked up, what happens to you now?"Farmer asks

"According to the messages from Dust, he is just laying unconscious in bed."Nighty says

I hear Dream and Lust groan in pain, then a thud.

"Blue! Wake up!"Farmer exclaims

"YoU guYs aRe fAd1nG! Blu3 jUsT disApPeArEd!"Paps says

"Guess the experiments are going to continue."Lust says

"I will look for your soul, Horror."Farmer says

"UuGh....OkAy...PaPs, s0moN3 iS iN 0uR h0m3 tHaT wAnTs t0 s3e y0u...Ugh, mY hEaD..."I say, shutting my eyes

Everything around me fades away until I hear yelling and screaming, then laughter which fades into dead silence. I reach out, feeling the walls of a box surrounding me. I feel something beating in my chest and sigh with relief, feeling the soul shard in my chest again. I hear the waves of an ocean outside and the whistles of the wind.

Welp, I'll be here for a while.

I try to get as comfortable as I can in the small space and find the gentle sound of the waves calming, dozing off. Yet I wake up when it rocks and rumbles, the waves tossing it onto land after who knows how long. I hear footsteps running through sand before something strikes through the box, inches from getting my hand. I hear it get pried open and feel a hand grab mine to pull me to my feet.

"Wait, sorry! Are you alright, Error?"I hear Farmer ask

"YeAh, bUt wHeRe aRe wE eXaCtLy?"I reply, climbing out of the box

"An island somewhere. By this AU's time cycle, I've been here for three days already. But don't make too much movement! You're still covered in wounds and some of your bones are broken. Don't worry, Horror showed me how to make a shelter and I made a small farm that can supply us for now! Even made a fire to keep warm!"He tells me

I follow his voice and we sit together, under the roof of his shelter apparently. I hear clothes ripping and then feel him wrapping cloth around mywounds and putting my arm in a sling.

"There you go."He says

"ThAnKs."I sigh

Then I hear two different soulbeats beside me. I glance to him.

"I got Horror's soul before I got stuck here. It's still in a glass case though so I'm very careful with it."

I smile.

"Go0d."I say, smiling at him

There is some silence before Farmer speaks again.

"Does....Does Nightmare really support the relationship? I come over and it always feels tense and awkward when in the same room as him. He's all smiles around Horror but shuts down when Horror leaves the room."He says

"OoH, i s3e. Y3s h3 d0eS suPp0rT y0u b0tH. He iS hApPy t0 se3 y0u b0tH haPpY. He iS jUsT...n3w t0 tHiS s0 d0n'T tAk3 iT p3rSoNaL. Y0u kn0W h0w tHeY se eAcH oThEr aS fAmiLy, bUt tHe oNlY tAsKs NiGhTy iS fAmiLiAr wIth aRe pRotEcT, CoMfORT, aNd hEaL. He d0eSn'T kNoW hOw tO aCt aNd dOeSn'T wAnT tO sAY tHe wRoNg ThInG. I hAve tHe sAme iSsUe wIth oUr ReLaTiOnsHiP. He iS sO cArEfUl aBouT nOt mEsSiNg uP tHaT hE fr3eZeS uP. I wiLl wOrK oN iT wiTh hIm, d0n't w0rRy."I explain to him, shaking my head.

"Ah, I see...That's comforting to know."He says

"YeAh, i kn0w h3 d0eSn'T haV3 tH3 fr1eNdLi3sT rEsTiNg fAcE e1tHeR."I say

He chuckles.

"You are right about that!"He says

Then I feel fur brush along my arm with loud purrs.

"PeRl?"

"HeY, bROThER! NiGhTmaRe aNd DrEaM aRe wORkInG oN fInDINg EvEryOnE eLsE gIvEn tHe riDdLeD cLuEs fRoM ThAt TeRrOr guY! CoMe On! I wiLl gEt yOu tHrEe hOmE!"Paps says

I get up carefully and Perl leads me with little nudges to guide me to the portal, Farmer taking Horror's soul through with him. Paps takes my hand and leads me away to a bedroom where he heals me and returns my glasses. I regain my vision, then see Farmer go down the hallway with Horror's soul. I follow, using my strings to support me and smile when seeing Horror wake up once his soul got returned to him. Then Nighty appears beside me with Killer and Lust in his tentacles while Dream holds Classic carefully. That is, until Fell snatched Classic from him and carries the sleepy skeleton to his room, cursing the ones that hurt him the entire time.

"Where is Blue?"Dust asks as Paps focuses on healing Killer.

"Figuring that out still."Dream says

"What the heck happened to you guys?"He asks

"Experiments an pain but not the worst."Killer says

"If yOu aRe r3aLlY cUri0uS i cAn rEpLay iT iN a CoDe sCre3n lat3r."Paps says

I open a portal and see Blue on the other side. He is stuck in a box in the corner of a dark room. I lift the box up with my strings and place him in the room beside me. I tear the box open and smile, seeing him sitting inside and looking up at me out of one eye, the other too wounded to open.

"Error! You're okay!"He cheers

"Blue!"Dust shouts, beside the box in seconds.

"Oh, hey Dust!"He says happily

Within seconds Dust has Blue out of the box and carrying him away to another room to get cared for. I feel two tentacles wrap around me and soon I get dragged into bed by Nighty in his room and warned that I will not be let out of his hold for a few weeks. I smile, glad to be free after that issue of mistaken identity. I snuggle into his hold and smile.
