No POV, months later

Error and Dream have adapted in the weeks that have passed for them. Dream quickly found himself fighting this version of Nightmare, who isn't as sympathetic or caring towards others as the one they know. Error finds himself in the middle between the two, fighting this version of Nightmare who has no care for how his schemes affect the balance Error is meant to keep so the multiverse doesn't fold in on itself as well as keeping Ink from breaking the balance either. He also has won over the gang, taking them in since this Nightmare needs to grow in the caring-for-allies department, though he is making progress to get them back now that he realizes how much they matter to him. Dream has made similar progress with the Star Sanses, growing close to them while keeping his distance from Ink.

But through Error's work, he has closed his soul off from feeling anything for Nightmare. That makes it hurt less. Yet he gained this Nightmare's respect and their fights turn to more open talks. Error keeps himself from building a bond, having only one Nightmare in his mind that he clings to despite all the time that passed. His Nighty.

One day he opens up about this to the Nightmare here once asked where he came from to have so much power. Nightmare could sense all the negativity hanging over Error and absorbs it with a sigh, feeling bad for him. He does his best to comfort Error but it doesn't work out that well..Then again, his "comfort" is not the best verbally.

"You don't belong here."

"Oh GEe tHaNkS cApTaIn 0bVi0US! I cOuLdn'T tElL!"Error snaps

"Okay, maybe that wasn't the best thing to say."

"Ya d0n'T sAY?"He says, glaring at Nightmare

Little did either of them know that Buffer has been watching and listening from a distance. Once hearing Error's explanation, he knows that it's the Error he knows and rushes back to the border of the multiverse to get back and report his findings.

Now, Error has the Star Sans base to himself with the rest of the occupants out doing their own things. He has gotten his own room by now, unable to go to the antivoid without thinking of the life he got shoved out of. The one with his gang...cat...friends..Nightmare....At least here he doesn't get any reminders in the base. But this break leaves him with his thoughts, something he is not that fond of lately either. Little does he know that he is about to have an unexpected guest visiting.

Error's POV

I sigh, staring at my crown in my hands.

I should just toss this into the closet or something. Wearing it has me hold on...And holding on hurts...Our third anniversary passed and the day of my plans is weeks away. I should just forget it...Not like I'll be able to go through with it.

I hear a knock at the door and curiously go downstairs, leaving my crown behind. I go to open the door and frown.

"Oh, h3y n1gHtmAr3. DiDn't eXpEcT y0u t0 c0m3 h3r3."I say

"Hello, Glitchy.~ I thought that I'd come to find you.~"He coos, unsettling me

"CuT tHaT oUt."I say

"Why? I want to show my love for you."He says

I glare at him and his tentacles that reach for me shrink away. He steps closer and I back away. He makes his way inside, shutting the door.

"DoN't fUcKiNg t0uCh m3."I growl

"Of course. Wouldn't want my dearest Glitchy to crash."He says

My face burns but I frown, clenching my fists.

Is he making fun of me and my pain? Trying to take advantage of it? He is such an asshole!

"You look adorable as always.~"He coos

"ShUt uP. ThIs wOn'T fiX aNyThInG. He cAnNoT bE rEpLaCeD s0 d0n't tRy tHaT 0n m3."I say, heading upstairs

"There is nothing to replace, darling.~ I simply-"He begins

"SHUT UP!"I snap, my eyes filling with error signs

He goes quiet and it hurt as his words sink in.

"Y0u hAv3 n0 cLu3 wHaT y0u aRe sAy1nG! s0 jUsT sHuT uP! I oNlY sTaRtEd oPeNING uP tO yOu bUt tHaT gIvEs yOu nO rIgHt t0 c0Me In h3rE aNd aCt As iF y0u aRe aNyThIng cLoSe tO mE oR aBlE tO rEplAcE hiM yOu aSsHoLe! I aM In nO mOoD fOr yOuR cOmPaNy So hOw aBoUt yOu pROVe yOuR aBiLiTy tO gEt tHe fUcK oUt! YoU aRe nOt HiM!"I snap at him, my anger taking over

I feel tears run down my face and it feels so stupid. Why am I crying over this? I'm not getting back there...I should be letting go...

"I can't leave, not when the boys and Paps are counting on me to bring you home. I don't want to get on Perl's bad side, not after Killer faced his shitty wrath that you are well aware of Glitchy."He says

"UuGgH, diD y0u h3aR dReAm bLaB ab0uT mY cAt?"I groan, turning my back to him

I feel two hands grab me and turn me around. Then two hands wipe my tears from my face.

"That's my silly brother. But my brother always means well. And no, he didn't blab. I still have to locate him."He says

"WhAt....?"I say, catching onto his tone and words.

This Nightmare isn't fond of him like Nighty is...So..

"Buffer found a way into this multiverse. I'm here to get you, Glitchy."He says

"NiGhTy...?"I say

"I love you, Glitchy. I don't want you to cry. What can I do to cheer you up?"He says

I pull him close, burying my head in his chest. My soul is beating out of my chest faster than ever.

"I tHoUgHt i w0uLdn't s3e aNy0n3 aGa1n! ThAt i w0uLdn't s3e y0u aGa1n! I-I-I-!"I cry but feel him hug me closer and tighter.

"Ssssh, husssshhh Glitchy. It's okay. Buffer explained things. It's okay now. We're taking you home."He says softly, kissing me on the head

"Error? Are you alright? I sensed a lot of negativity from you."I hear Dream say

"Hello, Brother. Ready to go home?"Nighty asks

"*Gasp* Brother! Is that really you?"Dream asks

"I still have our matching outfits in case you want to test me, but yes. It is."He says

I hear running footsteps and step away for my glitching to clear up. And so Dream could hug his brother.

THUD!

"Ow!"Nighty says

"Sorry! I'm just so happy to see you again!"Dream cheers

My vision clears up and I see Dream hugging Nighty to the floor of my room. I put the crown back on and smile. I feel his tentacles wrap around me. I snuggle into them, petting a few gently which made them happy. Then Dream glances at me and I see a spark of an idea in his eyes.

"Brother! We must get home quick! They're going to return and attack you! Let's go!"He says, pulling Nighty by the hand and the tentacles pulling me away as well

"Stop! You don't know where to go!"Nighty says

He leads us to a portal that looks like one of Buffer's fizzling in and out of sight. Buffer hops through and smiles at us.

"Good to see that you're both okay!"He says, grabbing Dream and Nightmare's hands

He swiftly pulls them through and I get pulled through in a cocoon of Nighty's tentacles. Nighty carefully sets me down and I find myself back on my beanbag seat. I didn't see the papers or the box but I'm not that worried. Paps probably hid them somewhere. Dream quickly hops through a portal Buffer made to check on everyone else and make sure that they're okay.

"DoN't wOrRy, bROThEr. I kEpT evERyThInG iN oRdEr wHiLe yOu wErE g0nE. Fr0m miNoR tHiNGS liKe KiLlEr's pRaNkS tO tHe giGaNtiC bAlAnCe, y0u d0n'T hAvE tO wOrRy."Paps says

I smile at him, eagerly hugging him close and overjoyed that I'm back to him.

"And I secured the antivoid by coding it to ban Fate's entry. Sure it took three weeks for the code to accept or cooperate, but it was worth the frustration!"Buffer says

"ThAnKs bUfFeR."I say

He nods, then he and Paps look at each other with smiles and look at me. They wink at me and smile wider.

"I wiLl g0 teNd tO sOme tAsKs. BuFfEr I tHinK I mAy nEeD yOuR hElp."Paps says

"I'm right behind you."Buffer says

The two leave through a portal and it shuts, leaving me with Nighty.

"Well that was odd...."He says, laying back on the beanbag and relaxing

He wraps his tentacles around my waist and grins. I smile at him, relaxing.

"Sooo, how much UnderNovela have you been watching?"He asks

That's an odd subject to switch to after everything...But okay..

"NoT rEaLlY lAteLy...WhY?"I reply

He digs into his pockets and I feel my face burn and my soul skip a beat seeing that he took out the notes I was writing. I could see some of the details and realize that it's one of the notes I crumpled into scrap after fantasizing too much.

"I found these laying around and thought you might've been inspired by your favorite show. I mean it looks like a romantic script that I kinda wouldn't expect from you. I mean, don't you think it's a bit cheesy to call someone your forever? You didn't even give one a name! Lead The-Love-of-My-Life to Location 2. Yeah okay."He says, pointing to some lines I wrote

I felt ready to die, grabbing my scarf and hiding my face in it. He has no clue what they really are! I'm going to die of embarrassment!

"Hey, it's nothing to be embarrassed about. It's adorable and I love reading them Glitchy."He says

"YoU dO?"I ask

"Mmhmm."He hums

"YoU cAn kEeP tHeM tHeN."I say

"Thank you Glitchy."He says

I peek out of my scarf and he kisses me gently. Then he smiles at me.

"I love you, Glitchy.~"He coos
