You arrived at the occult research club's building. Nobody was in sight.

You call out trying to find the devilette, If that was even a word. You move towards the clubs bed room and open it. You peek inside seeing nothing. You enter the room fully and look around.

(Y/n): Riaaaasss?

No response. You narrow your eyes and use your viral sonar to find her, only for it to return to you from behind. You turn around and are greeted by the red haired beauty standing behind you with her arms crossed. You jump and take a deep breath.

(Y/n): Jesus don't do that.

Rias giggles at your reaction.

Rias: Apologies and thank you for coming. I also appreciate that you didn't attack on reflex.

You shrug.

(Y/n): Was thinking about it.

You take a seat on the bed and cup your hands together while leaning forward. Rias comes next to you and notices your face, plastered with worry and confusion.

Rias: Is everything okay?

You look at her and nod.

(Y/n): Somethings just come up that I need to take care of as soon as possible.

Rias gets closer.

Rias: Did that woman say something that concerned you?

(Y/n): More like showed me.

Rias went quiet. She could tell that it probably didn't end well with the lady. Rias made you look at her.

Rias: Hey. You're not a monster my little rogue. You do what you have to. To bring yourself comfort. Just like me.

You look into her eyes.

Rias nods.

Rias: Yes. For the greater good...just like this.

You were more confused by what she meant when suddenly she pulls you in for a kiss. You let out a muffled gasp as your lips touched hers. Thankfully, her hands move away from your cheeks down to your chest. Making you able to push her away without hurting her.

You tap your fingers on her shoulder and give her a 'right..' expression.

Your eyes widened.

She pulls away and undoes the buttons on her uniform before pulling her button up shirt back, revealing her melons concealed in a bra still.

(Y/n): Lord if you can hear me...you're probably not listening anyway cause this event involves a devil and a virus.

She Undoes a clip on her skirt as it falls to the ground, revealing her black lashes panties. You gulp at the demoness' very forward and tempting approach. You put your hands on her shoulders to stop her.

Rias looks at you with a straight face.

You look away from her face and stare at the carpeting below you. You think about your choices before looking up at her again.

Rias watches in shock as you walk away from her and exit the building. She hugs herself and looks down.

Rias gets dressed and goes to her desk and sits down. She leans her head on her hands for a few minutes before Akeno appeared and looks at Rias.

Akeno: Sooo~ How did it go?~

Rias looks at her raven haired friend and sighs.

Rias: Not as expected Akeno. It looks like we'll have to do this the hard way.

Akeno's expression changed from happy to serious as she nods and looks at the entrance of the club.

Akeno: Can (Y/n) still help us?

Rias shook her head.

Rias: Afraid not. He's not a devil. He'll be prohibited from participating in the contest.

Timeskip~

(Y/n): A sex slave (Y/n)?! Where the fuck did that come from?!

You mentally shout as you walk along the streets back to your home. You face palm and come to a stop. You look up at the moon and think about what's happened for the past twenty-four hours. From finding more and more Gentek and Blackwatch checkpoints, to your uncle is getting aggravated to the point he's fighting with your mum and is mutating people in Japan and then Rias trying to force herself onto you. You had no clue how complicated things would become. The more you think about it the madder you became.

(Y/n): Damn it! What am I gonna do about all this?! The virus! Rias and Alex. It's all just shit!

You look in front of you at all the lights illuminating the night sky. As you continue walking along the street, you eventually come across a crowd of people gathered around a tv. You look at the tv and read the headline. "The dead walk among us." (Reader. Don't say it.)

News reporter: The Japanese department of Defense as well as an American government funded army known as Gentek, also known for their assistance in the New York outbreak two months ago.

A video of a Gentek scientist being interviewed played after she finished.

Scientist: It's lucky we were able to catch onto it early on before it spread. With the research we've dug back up, we should be able to fight this thing easy.

You spit on the ground after hearing the scientist speak.

(Y/n): Liars. Japan will becomes a fuckin cesspool of testing experiments for your little pet science project for our fucked government.

You continue on and hear helicopters flying over you. You sigh and bury your hands into your jacket's pockets.

(Y/n): After all the effort to start new.....

You run up a building and look over the city. You see spotlights shining up in the sky. Gentek bases no doubt. Your hand balls up into a fist as your biomass flares up. You stop and take deep breaths and unclench your fist. You drop back down to street level and continue home.

As you were nearing home, you walk into the dark and look up at the street light that was malfunctioning. Suddenly, you hear foot steps behind you.

???: (Y/n) Mercer?

You freeze and try not to face the man behind you.

(Y/n): Never heard of him.

You answer. You continue on your way. That is until the man speaks up again.

???: Yeah? How about Erichthonius?

You stop again and look at the man in the corner of your eye.

(Y/n): Only person that would call me that is either workin for Blackwatch or Gentek. So which one is it?

The man raises his hands in Defense and shook his head.

???: Neither

He walks towards you.

???: Call me an unlikely ally.

His voice. It's familiar and yet brings a very unsettling feeling to you.

(Y/n): Don't need Ally's. Just wanna be left alone. Both me and my family.

???: Aww. But you and I both know that won't happen till Gentek and Blackwatch are wiped off the face of the earth. Your uncle understands that. So why can't you?

Your head sits up straight as your eyes narrow and bare your teeth, grinding them against each other as you finally turn to face the man and your eyes go from narrow to widen as you recognise the man instantly. You jump back and raise your arm as it becomes a blade and hold it at the man's neck.

The man just smiled as he kept his hands up and shrugged at you.

???: Surprise?

You hold the blade closer to his neck.

(Y/n): C-Can't be...I saw you die.

The man directs his attention to your blade and stares at it.

???: Adorable. Little Mercer wants to play hero just like his uncle once did back in New York.

You shift in your spot as you keep your blade focused on his neck. Ready to slit his jugular.

(Y/n): What do you want?

The man chuckles.

???: Is that really your first question?

You transform your hand into a hammer fist and hold him against the wall.

(Y/n): Okay....Why and how the hell are you here...-

The impact from holding the man up against the wall coincidentally brings the street light back on. As the light shines on you and a foe you thought long gone.

(Y/n): -...Cross

Robert Cross stares down at you with a smile.

Cross: Please...Cross is apart of me now. But you already knew that didn't you?

You both stare each other down. Things just went from complicated to absolute shit.
