Chapter 5
Antonina found a fortune cookie on her pillow. She didn't know who did it, or why, but didn't care since she loved those little cookies.
She split it and ate one half. She took out the fortune, 'Fear is the darkroom where negatives are developed.'. She gave a small smile and chuckled at the paper. "True. So, so true." She didn't feel like eating the other half and threw it away with the fortune.
She grabbed her phone and pulled up her music. She put it on random.
Even though your faded glow won't burn through all your bars, you put out to put up.
She smiled and sang along with the song. She put on her jacket and walked out of her house.
Even while your widening smile, was shaking in the smoke, your head was full of hope.
She walked around the park, not paying attention to her surroundings. She legs knew exactly where to go.
"Because I am a member of the butterfly culture. Where we work and we take, we play and we pray to god." She sang along with the man.
She walked on into the forest. To her favorite spot. Her spot. No one else knew about it. Just her.
That the girl in that dress will undress, and distress you with the way that she moves.
She saw only trees. If this was anyone else, they would get lost. But she knew where she was going. She went there since her and her real mother found it. The memories stabbed her heart. She just closed her eyes and kept walking.
Even now when you know how
To measure up the risk
You're still not tired of this
Even when the pills you take
Turn you to a ghost
You still spin around the most
She saw the ending of the forest grow closer. Her speed picked up as the music played.
Because I am a member of the butterfly culture
Where we worked and we take
We play and we pray to god
That the girl in that dress will undress
And distress you with the way that she moves
Once she got our of the forest, she closed her eyes and slowed to a stop. She stood on the edge of a cliff.
I am a member of the butterfly culture
Where we work and we take
We play and we pray to god
That the girl in that dress will undress
And distress you with the way that she moves
When the song ended she opened her eyes and saw it.
She breathed in. She smiled at the sight in front of her. The memories of her and her real mother flooded her mind and stabbed her heart that she fell to her knees and cried. She sobbed into the red, orange, pink, light blue, and (Y/F/C) flowers.
Dean pov.
I saw Antonina walk into the forest in the park. I fallowed her interested in where she was going. She sang a song I wasn't familiar with and kept walking. She picked up her speed and I fallowed also getting faster. She stared slowing down and stopped at the edge of a cliff.
'Is she going to jump?' I thought and stopped at the opening of the forest. She breathed in and stood there. Then suddenly feel to her knees. I took a quick step forward, but stopped when she cried instead of falling off. I slowly walked closer to her.
I stood next to her looking over the forest of colorful trees. I don't know how they are colored and have leafs when it snowed just a week ago. It was beautiful, I won't lie.
I sat down next to her and let my legs hang off the edge. I put my arm around her and gave her an one-arm-hug.
Antonina pov.
I stiffened and the sudden arm pulling me closer to someone. I looked at them only to see Dean looking forward.
I felt a blush creep on to my face and looked away. I herd his deep chuckle and blushed more. WHY AM I SO BLUSHIE!?!?! "It's beautiful." He said. I could only nod and keep quiet.
"Why are you over here anyways? And why were you crying?" I herd concern his deep [almost Sans] voice. "I-I was j-just thinking...... About my mother." My voice got quitter as I said that. Tears streamed down my face. I felt a warm and an my face. I looked over and Dean was wiping away my tears. He smiled a little and hugged me.
I sat there stunned, then hugged him back, crying into his shoulder. He rubbed circles on my back and hummed. It was actually conferring.
My pov. brah!
After Antonina's crys stopped they parted. "So where'd you go this morning?" Antonina looked at her friend. "I went and in rolled into the college. I need a better education anyway. They also said I could live in any of the the houses, and I picked yours." Antonina looked at Dean, her face full of surprise. "It's getting dark. We should go home." She nodded and let Dean help her up. They walked home and went to bed.
