chapter 6
"okay mom I've made my decision."
"Yes I'm up for it. I don't think I can handle it if Chad stays. He would continue to be a threat, not just to me but to other girls also so it'd be stupid and selfish of me not to get the court involved." Jane said.
Fairy Godmother smiled at her daughter's brave and wise decision. "Okay dear. I will go see Adam, Belle and Ben and start the process." Fairy Godmother said.
"Okay thanks Mom." Jane said.
"No worries. Now come on let me walk you to your dorm." Fairy Godmother said.
"There's no need mom. I can get there on my own." Jane said as she put on a brave face.
"Are you sure?" Fairy Godmother asked.
Jane nodded. She didn't want her mother worrying about her being afraid.
"Okay. Just call me if you need anything." Fairy Godmother said.
"Okay mom." Jane said as she left the office.
She started walking cautiously in the hall. Not running because she could bump into someone if she did. But at the same time not slowly because the faster she gets in her room and locks it, the better.
As soon as she reached her dorm, she locked it and heaved a sigh of relief. Laying on her bed and facing the ceiling. She tried her best not to think about Chad and that morning.
So she channeled all her thoughts to her amazing boyfriend. Thinking about how she spent the day in his room. ON HIS BED!!! They even kissed twice. Jane never in a million years would think that, that could happen.
It was almost funny how the almost rape incident lead to them being closer.
And then just like that, her mind went back to the incident. It was hard to imagine. Of all the girls Chad chose her. If a seer told Jane a year ago that a charming (no pun intended) prince would try to rape her, and then she'd spend the day with her boyfriend on his bed, she would have reported the person for fraud. But here it is.
"I need a distraction." Jane said as she kept thinking about Chad.
Then her phone rang someone wanted to video chat with her. And the person was

LONNIE!!!
"Perfect distraction." Jane said as she got in a sitting position and them she picked up the call.
Video chat
"Hi Jane what's up?" Lonnie said in her usual chirpy character.
"Not much you?" Jane asked.
"Not much either. I will soon be coming back to Auradon." Lonnie said happily.
"Oh wow that is fantastic news." Jane said at least now she won't stay in room alone.
"Are you okay? You seem a little off." Lonnie asked after noticing that Jane was not really paying attention.
"Huh, yeah, no I'm fine." Jane said.
"Yeah and mushu is the best guardian ever." Lonnie said and rolled her eyes.
"Well in my opinion he is." Jane said.
"Don't change the subject. Come on what's wrong?" Lonnie asked.
Jane sighed. She might as well tell her so much for the distraction.
"Chad, he tried to force himself on me this morning." Jane finally said.
"He what!? That sly, annoying, stupid, jerky, perverted son of a-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa no need to bring Cinderella into this." Jane said before Lonnie could finish her statement.
"You're right. What happened are you alright?" Lonnie asked concerned.
"Yeah Jay saved me. Knocked him unconscious twice, Evie healed me sort of, and Carlos turned into a demon and tried to kill him." Jane said.
"Whoa. All these happened in one day?" Lonnie asked surprised.
"Yeah." Jane said as she blushed remembering the detail she didn't tell Lonnie.
Lonnie could see her blushing.
"Anything else?" Lonnie asked almost teasingly.
"Me and Carlos may have kissed twice." Jane said as she blushed harder.
"Oh wow it's about time. So what are you going to do about Chad?" Lonnie asked.
"Me and Mom talked and we are taking him to court. So he is likely to get expelled from school and the kingdom." Jane said.
"Do you know when? I'd like to be there before it happens so I can introduce his guts to my sword. (Thanks for the idea NityaAuthor 😊)
Jane laughed. "I really missed you." Jane said.
"Yeah me too. Can't wait to see you though. Hopefully this week." Lonnie said.
"Yeah." Jane said.
"You know it just occurred to me. You said Carlos transformed into a demon?" Lonnie asked.
"Trust me. It'd be better if I told you all about it in person." Jane said.
"Ok. Gotta go. Lemme call Jay and thank him for saving you." Lonnie said.
"Sure that's the only reason you are calling him." Jane said sarcastically as she playfully rolled her eyes.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Lonnie said defensively.
"Sure whatever. Bye." Jane said.
"See you soon." Lonnie said before she ended the call.
End of video chat
Jane laid back on the bed sighing. Her distraction was over. But she started thinking about Lonnie's return and soon drifted to another sleep.
