chapter 19
Hey guysz how have you been? *Clears throat* I'm so soooooory I haven't updated. I have no idea what came over me. Anywho I'm back now and whoever still reads this story despite my inactivity....... I LOVE YOU💖💖
"I can do this. I can do this. I CAN DO THIS!" Carlos had been chanting for the past 23 minutes, pacing to and fro on the hallway that led to the headmistress' office.
He had decided to tell fairy godmother about the unwanted guest in his head. He was nervous and anyone would see that.
Not that he could be blamed it was nerve wrecking walking up to the good fairy who also happened to be the mother of his girlfriend, and going
"Yo, so there's this crazy voice I'm hearing and it keeps telling me to kill Jane and destroy everything and everyone. Isn't that crazy?"
Carlos had already played all possible outcomes of the conversation he was about to have, and not many of them ended up without him being sent back to the isle.
He shook the thought off. Even though that was the logical conclusion, they wouldn't do that him. They would never.
But to be on the safe side he decided to keep it a secret for just a little bit longer.
He was smart. He was the brain of the team. He could definitely figure it out on his own. Since the internet didn't offer him much help, he was going to go old school.
He would go to the library.
As soon as he made the decision, his legs worked and he was on his way to the library.
When he reached, he was met by the warm stare of her Majesty Belle who also happened to be the owner of the library.
"Good morning your majesty." Carlos greeted with head bowed.
"Just Belle." Belle told him while smiling.
Even if Carlos had been in Auradon for a while now, he still couldn't understand how Belle worked.
A Queen who would much rather spend her day in a library rather than in the palace swarmed by servants under her command.
"So what are you here for? Programming, coding, science?" Belle asked.
Carlos swallowed. Should he tell her the truth? There was a bigger chance of him finding what he wanted if he told her.
Hands scratched the back of his head in a sheepish way as he spoke. "Actually..... I was hoping to get a book on demons and stuffs. Like history, origin, weaknesses, types and so on."
Belle gave him a sympathetic look which was not what he expected. He expected a look of disgust or anger.
"They are at the left side of the library. Last shelves. Although I should warn you it's a bit dusty there." Belle told him.
"Thank you so much." Carlos said in a somewhat enthusiastic tone because for some reason unknown to him, he was really looking forward to learning about them.
With a head bow he went in and went straight to his destination. That part of the library was deserted and calling it dusty was an understatement. It was dark and creepy like the basement in a horror movie.
The cobwebs and dust on the books and shelves suggested that no one had come there in a very long time.
Taking out a scarf, he dusted the seat and attempted to dust the book to no avail.
Realizing it was a lost cause he decided to read the books like that.
Going through the shelves , he found many books including one titled "APOCALYPTO the first demon."
It would have been a good place to start considering that would be the basics and origin, but he was short on time. And judging by the thickness of the book, it wasn't going to be a cake walk.
Deciding to come back to the book later, he continued to search. Eventually he had three big textbooks in hand before settling down on the seat.
"I hope this will be helpful." He said as he started reading.
It had been five hours, five long revealing hours in the library and in that five hours he had learned a lot about demons. Their types, their weaknesses.
There were demons who were actually humans which demons took over their bodies, there were shape shifting demons which could take the form of a person, and then there were the demons who were created demons.
Most demons weaknesses were sunlight, some silver, some gold but an overall weakness sure to stop any demon at all was the Phoenix gem.
It was a bright red gem which had the power to seal any demon within itself. Alternatively, it could be welded into a sword and used to kill demons.
Also only magical objects and sunlight could kill them.
It wasn't what Carlos was hoping to find but it was okay even if he didn't find out what type of demon he was, or a way to get rid of the demon in him, he had a plan.
He was going to make due of what he had.
He would have to steal the phoenix gem and he couldn't do it alone. He needed his family.
"Shit. Evie is going to kill me for not telling them sooner." Carlos said.
Yep I'm done with this chapter and this book is closer to it's end dun dun duuuuuuuun. Anyway I hope you liked it. And I'm back people
