Part 3
You flash Max a smile before sitting down on your bed, across from his position at your desk.
"Are you ok?" Max asks, looking truly sincere, a look you're not used to.
"Yeah, why?" You say, kicking off your black converse.
"You were kinda jittery and nervous at supper." Max says, leaning back in your purple desk chair.
"I guess I was huh." You say nodding at him. "I didn't think I would ever see them again but here they are. I don't even want to ask if they hate me like their father did."
"There's no way that Sam and Dean could hate you. I think Dean might actually have a crush on you." Max says moving over to sit next to you on your bed.
"Really? I mean he's kinda cute, but I don't think I'm his kind of girl. He did ask me if I wanted to go with them on this case though." You say turning your back to Max and stretching out your wings for the nightly routine of cleaning them.
"Well what did you tell him. I know that Dad wouldn't care, you're old enough to make your own decisions." He says as he straightens feathers here and there.
"I didn't tell him anything. Well other than he needs lotion for his hands." You say playing with a piece of string that was laying on your bed.
"You're pretty dense. You know that. He tried to have a moment and you tell him to use lotion." Max says, suddenly grabbing a clump of feathers making you arch away from the pain. "Sorry." He says quickly as he continues smoothing out your wings.
"Then what will you tell him. Do you want to go with him?" He continues talking.
There's silence as you think about what you want. "Well I don't know, would you and Dad be ok here without me?" You finally say.
"Don't worry about us (y/n). Look out for yourself then worry about the rest of us later." He says as he finishes with your wings.
"You don't think Dad would be short on help if I left do you?" You say, turning around to face Max before he leaves the room.
"Do what you think is right (y/n). This is your life, with or without us." Max says before slipping out of your room, closing the door behind him.
That night you had trouble sleeping, you were too riled up about weather or not to leave. In the end you decide to go with them for at least this one hunt and see how you like it and go from there. When you finally did go to sleep, what felt like five minutes later, you hear people clomping around in the hallway outside your door.
Your bedside clock tells you that it's only 4 am, who would be up right now? You go to investigate and stop at the door listening to people outside your door talking. It sounds like Bobby and the Winchesters, you listen in on their conversation.
"Will you two be quiet, you'll wake up the whole house!" You hear a voice that is unmistakably Bobby's.
"Sorry, we were going to head out here soon." You hear a younger voice say, probably Sam.
"Well what's keeping you?" Bobby whispers.
"I asked (y/n) if she wanted to come with us, but we were interrupted before I got an answer." Another voice says, that one would have to be Deans voice.
"And you never came to talk to me about this why? I would've liked to know that you're whisking away my daughter in the middle of the night." Bobby says.
"She's probably still asleep Dean." Sam says, he sounds closer to the door than before.
"Why don't you check then." Dean says, sounding sarcastic.
You're still pressed against the door before you realize that it's going to open. Then in a fluid movement the door swings out from under you and you're on the floor in the middle of the three men.
"Hey." You say looking up with a sheepish smile at the three of them. Sam looks a little shocked that you fell out when he opened the door, while Dean is smiling at you like an idiot, and Bobby has his usual frown plastered on his face.
"Were you listening to us?" Sam says, helping you up off the floor.
"Maybe." You say as you brush the dust off of you.
"How much did you hear?" Bobby says in his gruff tone.
"That they're leaving and that I can come too." You say looking between the brothers for support.
"Not on my watch." Bobby says shaking his head.
"But." You say before you get cut off by Bobby.
"But nothing. It's dangerous." Bobby says.
"Well of course it's dangerous, it's hunting." Dean says trying to help in the argument, earning him a stern glare from Bobby.
"Please Daddy." You say using your 'daughter that wants something' voice and an expert begging face.
He breathes a long sigh before finally speaking. "Fine."
"Thanks Dad!" You say before running back into your room to pack a bag. Out of the corner of your eye you can see Bobby talking to Sam and Dean.
"If she gets hurt because of you, I'm going to personally kill you myself." You hear him say.
"Yes sir." Dean says as they walk away from your door.
When you walk down the stairs to leave with the boys you find Bobby sitting in his chair with a small duffle bag on his desk.
"Are you ready to go?" Dean asks and Sam walks over and takes your bag, carrying it out to the car.
"Yeah, ready as I'll ever be." You say and smile brightly at him before going to walk outside.
"Hold up." Bobby says and you stop in your tracks, turning to look at him. "Take this bag." He says standing up and walking around to the front of the desk with the bag.
"What is it." You ask as you reach for it.
"Weapons. They're for you. I got them for when you start hunting by yourself." Bobby says dropping the bag into your awaiting hand. The sudden weight surprises you and you nearly drop it.
"Thanks Dad." You say and hug him, it lasts a while until Dean coughs somewhere behind you.
"Alright, well we should go now." He says giving a small smile before leading the way to his car.
When you see it your eyebrows fly up. "Nice inheritance." You say looking over the sleek car.
"Thanks, now get in." Dean says as he gets in the drivers seat, you slide in behind Sam and the three of you head off on the road.
