Thirteen

Maybe now that I am able to travel wherever I want... I may be able to find you.

A few weeks passed and Tsunade got used to being a Hokage and dealt with some problems already. The young Naruto and Jiraiya departed to a long time mission to train the blonde boy and to follow the tracks of the rising Akatsuki. There has been a few incidents inside Konoha already where the Akatsuki threatened the Leaf and the boy who bears the fox spirit.

(Y/N) gladly stepped down from her position as a council member and Hiashi took her place. Some strands of her (h/c) hair flew around her face due to the wind as she sat on her porch. The sun fought battles with the clouds trying to break through them. It was also her day of departure. She planned for a long time to travel back to Yugakure and to dream a little about her past.

"Mother? Are you ready?" Yukiko said and shook her drowsy mother a little. "Hm? Oh yeah of course. I am sorry. Shall we leave?" The lady asked and stood up looking into her daughters piercing green eyes with her own (e/c) eyes. She really resembled her father a lot and her heart ached everytime she saw it. What could their future have been like if they didn't get caught? Would they have settled down? Maybe they would have travelled the world?

"You got caught in your thoughts again mother." The woman chuckled and both of them left their property to start their journey to Yugakure. "Tell me... Why Yugakure?" Yukiko asked and (Y/N) smiled. "Hmm... Yugakure does have a lot of beautiful hot springs and has a beautiful untouched landscape. It used to be a town with a lot of gangs and cold blooded shinobis but after some time it turned into a city that didn't need violence anymore. Tourism changed Yugakure. Many people were unhappy with that"

"I know that already, mother. I wasn't born this morning. I was part of the shinobis that often helped with coups when people tried to make Yugakure a shinobi town again." (Y/N) nodded and smiled while walking down the pathways. "I know. I know. But even when I was there already the tourism had captured the town. I actually met Hashirama and Tobirama here for the first time as well. It holds a lot of memories that are dear to me."

"What kind of memories?" Her daughter asked curiously at the mention of her dear father. "I originally come from Takigakure as you already know. I may have told you some things about me but there is much more to that. You also never asked so I never knew if you would even be interested. You only saw Tobirama the whole time. Not your boring mother" The woman chuckled and pouted a little making her daughter laugh. "That is not true! Tell me everything! Start at the beginning"

"Hmm... Alright. But it won't be a pretty story. Let me tell you that. You will probably think as lot more differently from me when you heard all of it..." Yukiko scoffed. "You make it sound like you did something terrible like killing the village elders or something" (Y/N) choked on her spit and laughed a little thinking about Kakuzu who exactly did that.

"What is so funny?" The lady shook her head. "Nothing! Nothing!" She said and straightened her back again. "I grew up in a mansion on the outskirts of Takigakure. It was really close to the borders and not really open to public. My mother was a beautiful woman who had the same trait like me and you. She still had the skin of a twenty year old woman even though she was getting older. My father was a disgusting man. He made business with my mother and gained money and fame through her."

"Did he prostitute her?" (Y/N) nodded and looked up to the sky to see some birds fly over them. "Yes. He sold her to many different men no matter how the looked and how old. The just needed to have a lot of money. I was still very small and didn't understand what was going on until I got eight and my mother started getting suspicious. One day she grabbed me and tried to flee the house together with me. I loved my mother dearly. She always came off like a strong, intelligent and elegant woman to me but at that moment I just saw fright in her eyes."

The lady breathed out and continued. "Guards from our mansion ran after us and tried to catch us but my mother tried to shake them off through some ninjutsu and taijutsu she was still able to perform. I never went to school. I was home teached and never learned anything about combat. My mother sometimes sneaked into the garden with me and showed me some moves but nothing that made me stand out from every other kid that played with sticks and stones."

"That must have been so terrible. I guess they must have out a lot of weight on manners and such for you?" Her mother just nodded as they passed some smaller villages. "Eventually the people catched us and we were trapped between guards. My mother stood proudly in front of me and tried to guard me from the pointed kunais of people that were meant to protect us. My father stepped out of the dark and ordered them to kill us if we didn't cooperate. My mother didn't."

Tears welled up in her eyes as the pictures of her past flew past her. "They...they didn't hesitate and started fighting my mother while I begged for them to stop. She hugged my body tightly trying to shelter me from the many kunais that flew into our direction. Soon my hair was stained red, my clothes were ruined and my screams went quieter as my lungs gave out. My mother stoooed breathing long time ago but they continued stabbing her brutally without hesitation. After some time they finally let go and left. Sadly I let out weak squeak as the final kunai fell to the floor and my father spotted me alive."

Yukiko looked at her mother hurt and went closer to take her hand in hers and to squeeze it a little. "He took me back, maids cleaned me up and I got brought into my room and locked up for a week. I got food and everything I need inside my room as I cried my heart out. I lost my dear mother that day and a few years later, at thirteen, I lost my innocence too."

A sob threw her out of her story telling. Her gaze went to her daughter who held one hand against her left eye trying to hide the tears.

"I told you it wouldn't be a good night story..."
