A few years earlier

His feet took him through the forest of a small village as his black hair waved through the air. His strings shot out thrusting themselves into the males he followed for a few hours already. They were deep enough and no one would be able to find him and his victims comrades. He grunted as he grabbed the remaining man's neck.

"I won't get enough money from you peasants..." He grumbled before snapping his neck and jumping up the trees. "Wow that is so messed up" A strange thing that errupted grom the tree beside him voiced suddenly and the man jumped back onto the floor. "What the hell..." He mumbled and out of the dust cloud he produced earlier another man covered in piercings and a black and red cloak stepped out of it.

The plant look-alike walked next to him and Kakuzu's eyes squinted together. "Who are you? What do you want?" He said in a deep and menacing voice. "The Immortal Ninja Kakuzu. I'd like to invite you to join the Akatsuki." The orange haired male said and Kakuzu scoffed. "The Akatsuki?"
The two coloured boy spoke up "That's right. It is a group that's going to bring true peace to everyone." He explained and the male grunted.

"I don't care about such junk. The only thing I care about is money." "Whether you care or not isn't the issue. I insist that join us." The pierced man said and slowly strings erupted from Kakuzu's arms. "You are pretty bold, aren't you? Or you are just a fool who doesn't know who is stronger... It doesn't seem like you are worth anything, but... you talk too much." He said and got into a fighting pose.

The other male didn't budge but closed his eyes. "You wish to fight me? Fine... Have it your way" He looked up at the man and smirked slightly while stepping forward a little. "If I defeat you... You will join the Akatsuki." Kakuzu looked at his opponent. "This guy..." And then he jumped forward opening the fight.

Strings shot out to grab the males arms and legs but he quickly went out of the way. A sharp metal bar formed in his hand and cut off the strings that came for his body before rushing forward to stab Kakuzu into his chest. The man flickered away and again shot out his strings to successfully grab one of his hands and twist it. The orange haired just smirked again and turned to his opponent before ripping the string off with his other hand.

"Know... You can't defeat me." He whispered and jumped up to summon more bars that crashed down onto the male. Kakuzu easily maneuvered all of them but the last one pierced itself into his right arm. He grunted and pulled it out and his strings closed up the hole quickly. The black haired shinobi's eyes went over the space and locks eyes with the other one before shooting his strings there again.

He again cut through them like hot butter and stood before Kakuzu who suddenly got held down by what seemed like some kind of clones. "You loose" The orange haired said mockingly as his deep voice echoed through the forest. "Shinra Tensei!" And with that he used his final attack to push the rogue through several trees.

Kakuzu coughed out some blood and sighed before standing up and falling to his knees again shortly after. "You may be Immortal, Kakuzu... But you can't defeat a god." The man said and Kakuzu looked up at him. "That power of yours. What is it?" He asked and the orange haired looked down at him like a peasant. "I am a god who will save this world. Now come, and I will provide for you a place where you can spend all your eternity."

The black haired huffed and closed his eyes. "If this group you speak of has others like you... then it is certain to give me a greater opportunity to earn higher bounties." He stood up again and wobbled a little before standing straight. "The Akatsuki... It seems to me that the smell of money is strong there." The plant boy erupted out of the floor again and chuckled. "Then I guess we are all set."
The other man huffed and turned around.

"My work here is done. Let us return" His black cloak waved around as he began walking away from Kakuzu.
The beat shinobi grunted.
"Hopefully it is worth it."

(A/N: all of this may or may not be canon. I used this information and speech from the game "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution" but it seemed legit and shows how the recruitment may have worked.)

Normal time

A knock on the door whipped her out of her trance. The lady stood up and walked towards the door and opened it revealing Hiashi Hyuga together with some branch members. "Oh. Hiashi-San. It is nice of your to react to my request of meeting you so quickly. Do you want some sake?" (Y/N) smiled and the man nodded. "Hello (Y/N)-San. It is nice to meet you again. I would like some sake if it isn't too much work."
The woman shook her head and guided him to the dining room. "You can sit down here I will bring the sake and some tea"

The man sat down looking around the room and moved his finger over the underside of the table. A little bit of dust was left and he scrunched his nose but a branch member quickly rushed to him to let him clean his finger off. The woman entered the room again with a tray in her hand. "I also brought some tea if you may want to freshen up your throat after the sake." She explained and poured some alcohol into the small cups for him and herself.

"Your home is rather dusty... Did you ever think of getting a maid or two? A town elder like you shouldn't be serving tea but be served." Hiashi said and the female shook her head. "I am thankful how considerate you are but I am fine without servants. I sometimes send out D-Rank missions when I need help." The man chuckled and looked at the woman before him.
"I do advise you to at least have one person to help. It must be lonely in this house all alone"

"I am thankful for your interest in my well being, Hiashi-San. I am sure we can talk about private matters later on. But I called you here for a reason"

The stoic man slightly smirked and nodded. "You are right. So why is it that you called me?"
