Cabir and nandini was outside the icu while inside the room doctors were putting all their efforts to save him......cabir was worriedly looking through the glass window while patting nandini's head to calm her down who was wailing loudly

N: how could i cabir.......mere waja se uski tabiyat dobara kharab hogye......doctor ne bola bhi tha ke wo sb sun rha hai tb bhi mene wo sb bola (fresh stream of tears rolled down her cheeks as she looked at the door of icu)

Cabir looked at her and then seeing her condition took her towards the benches.....sitting on the bench cabir handed her a bottle of water which she kind of threw on the adjacent chair and looked at the floor while he said

C: get a grip over urself nandini......tmhe ho kia gya hai itni weak to nhi thi tm (she looked at him with teary eyes usne kar dia hai weak mjhe her heart shouted) is trah karne se kuch nhi hone wala....khud ko smbhalo ab tmhe hi sb kuch karna hai.....dua karo wo theek hojaye

Nandini registered his words for a moment or so and then wiped her tears mumbling hnmmmm in response

C: chalo bs karo shabash....drink some water and pray for him (he said wrapping his arm around her to show his support)

Cabir and nandini were standing on opposite corners of hall with their eyes glued on the door.......they were praying for his health.....the door opened and nurse came out....they both rushed towards her to which she replied with a smile....

Nurse: ur patient is conscious now (she smiled looking at worried nandini......they both gaped at the news and it was audible enough that the nurse could hear it......nandini palmed her mouth with both hands and looked at cabir with numb expressions who moved forward and hugged her smiling widely........she too hugged him but after sometime her grip around him tightened as he heard her sobbing........parting himself from her he looked at her to find her crying palming her face

C: hey nandini why r u crying now (removing her hand from her face)

N: manik...she only managed to say this and started crying again

C: ab to wo theek hogya naa ab kyon ro rhi (oblivious of the fact that they were tears of happiness)

He engulfed her in his arms consoling her...when she finally stopped crying he looked at her and said

C: tmhare pe navya ka asar hogya hai (he laughed to which a chuckle escaped from her lips too)

C: ab maza aye ga....manik bara mazaq urata tha na mera ab navya part 2 ko smbhalna pare ga tb use pta chale ga (he moved away from her when she hit him with the water bottle)

N: she is so sweet okay aur kia matlab smbhalna pare ga (in warning tone she rolled her eyes at him).....and our cabni were back to their real selves)

After thorough checkup of manik the doctors left the room and cabni entered the room to be welcomed by a pale faced manik staring at the ceiling.....as he heard the click sound of door closing he looked at their direction and smiled brightly looking at them......he put his hands on bed and putting all his weight on them he tried to get up but in halfway left it when he felt a piercing pain down his wound.......he closed his eyes and bit his lips to bear the pain without producing a sound.......cabir scooted towards him followed by nandini as he adjusted him on bed carefully........manik had his hand on his abdomen trying to ease the pain while cabni patiently waited for him to say sth.....after 2 3 minutes he opened his eyes when he sensed nandini's hand on his arm and smiled at her

Ma: m fine (patting her hand from his hand to which she smiled faintly)

After that Manik moved his head to look at the worried cabir and forwarded his hand curled for bro fist and they fist bump 🤜🤛

Ma: thnku for taking care of my family (genuinely)

C: bkwaas na kar (he said getting offended by the word THANKS)

After a little chat cabir excused himself saying that he was going to meet the doctors......after that only manan were present in the room.....the silence engulfed the room as nandini was just staring at the floor while manik at their entwined fingers.......his heart filled with happenes when after entering the room nandini took the lead and held his hand

Ma: (breaking the silence) kese ho (softly)

N: hmm fine (pushing the tears back which were forming in her eyes again)

Ma: pakka (tightening his grip on her hand)

And that was it....feeling his warmth the tears escaped from her eyes...she hated herself for crying like this from past 2 days but was helpless...... while on the other hand manik got worried watching her shedding tears as probably it was the first time he was seeing her like this.....

N: tm....theekk (she sniffed)

Ma: tm mere theek hone pe itna ro rhi(raising his left eyebrow) agar aisa hai to mein dobara (he joked not realizing what he was saying but stopped when he felt nandini's hand fisting her shirt collar as she looked furiously at him)

N: ayenda aise fazool baat na karna (he put a finger on his lips cutely smiling at her move while she continued)

N: kha tha na ke guard le jao.....kyon nhi maane mere baat....tmhe idea bhi hai ye 2 din kitni mushkil se guzare mene (she said with watery eyes....the rage in her voice)

Ma: m sorry (he whispered meekly while wiping her teary eyes......he rubbed the back of her hand gently consoling her while she looked at him as few more tears made their way out of her eyes.....shooking his head in no he asked her to stop crying to which she immediately acted upon and wiped her tears......he opened his arms for her and she hugged him taking care of his wounds......nandini held his face and kissed his forehead and then his cheeks causing him to grin

N: i missed u so much (sitting on his bed closer to him)

Ma: everything will be alright (he said in assuring tone.....with this manik looked at the empty room...grabbing the chance he pulled her closer and moved his face closer to her......nandini guessed her intentions and covered her lips with her palm glaring him

N: we r in hospital....moreover u r weak now (getting up from bed)

Ma: haan apne baar to hm hospital mein the hi nhi (he said in irritated tone indicating towards her kisses while she pulled his cheek luvingly)

Manik was also shifted to the private room as his condition was better and only rest was required to make him completely fit.......after the shifting nandini made him eat an apple and then left the room asking him to sleep for sometime.....outside the room nandini also informed daadi about his condition

At around 3pm

Nandini fed him one more morsel despite his constant nagging of the tastelessness of food

Ma: nandini bs m full plzzz (making bechara face he pleaded while chewing the bite)

N: thora sa aur plzzz mere liye (with a smile)

Ma: no (he whined)

N: ssshhhhhh khao chup kar ke (she said with a glare while he opened his mouth grumpily)

Ma: patients ko nicely treat karte hai aise nhi jese tm kar rhi(rolling his eyes)

N: aur agar patient manik malhotra jesa dheet (shameless) ho to phir aise bhi kar skte han (stretching her lips for a fake smile while her eyes shined with mischievous glint)

Manik had his mouth wide open at her statement......he was about to say sth when the door opened and daadi entered the room with worried face......she strolled towards manik and held his face in her old hands and kissed him various times

Da: manik mere bache (in weak quivering tone)

Ma: no dont start crying plzzzz (he said pouting while holding her hand) look m completely fine and fit (he said smiling at her to which she replied with a beautiful smile on her creased face along with some tears)

Manik narrowed his eyebrows at her to which daadi immediately wiped the tears saying

Da: ye to kushi ke aansu hai.....mera manu theek hai (cupping his face to which he nodded his head while kissing her palm)

Navya also greeted him asking about his health and then manik started cracking jokes to lighten the atmosphere and it did help as nandini and daadi were laughing at that time while manik was adoring their angelic faces
