Whispers in Stumbles
TW: Light bullying.
In words where "s" and "r" collide,
my tongue finds twists that can't abide.
Each sound a challenge, every phrase,
in laughter's wake, I lost my way.
They teased and mocked my clumsy speech,
their voices sharp, their hearts out of reach.
A stuttered "s" and a tangled "r,"
a reminder of how different we are.
Their jesting tones cut through my pride,
while I struggled to keep the tears inside.
Yet through the jeers and harsh critique,
I found a strength I couldn't speak.
In every stutter, a silent plea,
for understanding and empathy.
Though my speech may falter and sway,
I'll find my voice, come what may.
