Chris's pov

I'm trying to get everything in order according to massimo's Ideas. I'm so happy for him and Skai, I saw how not knowing where she was and how she was doing literally tore him apart.

He was a shadow of his former self. The once confident and feared Massimo Valastro, was now downcast and looking miserable all the time. As his friend, and brother, it broke me seeing him like that, I know how much Skai means to him and how much he loves her.

So, seeing both of them together is total bliss and when he told me he wants the proposal as quick as two days time, I knew I had to do all I could to bring his ideas to life within that short time frame, I know I had to bully my way a few times, but everyone knows Christian Spencer, what I want, I get.

Well, except in the love department. I've had my fair share of heartbreaks, and now, I don't think I want to venture into anything love related. But, watching Massimo and Skai, it makes me wish I had what they have.

**next morning**

I've called everyone to remind them about this evening, her friends and family and massimo's friends and family too. He's calling every second to find out how the plans are coming and, it's annoying.

My friend is a fucking control freak and not being here planning everything himself is sort of driving him nuts and I love it!

We don't want her to suspect a thing, so that's why I'm in charge of the planning.

There's some last minute details that are still being put in place, other than that everything is set, and I can't wait for them to see the outcome.

I need an outfit, so I'll make a quick stop by my stylist and get my custom made fit. Then I need to rush to my place, my hairstylist will be meeting me there, I need to look dapper! My best friend is getting engaged!

**hours later**

Everything is set, everyone is here. Massimo and Skai are on the way, I know this because he's been updating me on how close they are.

He needed a very large venue with an orchestra - So, I rented out the stadium. The bleachers are filled with an orchestra who will be playing tunes in a few minutes, there's enough lighting, but right now the lights have been turned off, we don't want to ruin the element of surprise.

I know I went all out, go big or go home,
they say. The camera's are set, everything is ready, I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they get here...

A few minutes later, I see their car pull into the field, everyone has been asked to be as quiet as possible, but we have a clear view of what's happening on the field. He helps her out of the car and they walk towards the centre of the field like I had instructed him in one of the texts.

Once they're in the center of the field, the orchestra starts playing, then the lights turn on one by one.

I can see her body movements and how she's truly surprised, massimo subtly looks around, maybe trying to find us, she hugs him and they share a brief kiss, before she walks closer to the bands to watch them, he moves closer to her and places a hand on her waist, then I send him a text, telling him its time.

The orchestra stops playing and the screen displays the message WILL YOU MARRY ME?, same time Massimo goes down on one knee and says some words to her and by the way the back of her hand keeps swiping over her face, i can tell she's crying.

Then she starts nodding and helps him up and he pulls her in for a tight hug and they kiss. The orchestra starts playing again and they dance a little and that's our queue to run out and that's what we do. She looks so surprised and happy, everyone hugs her and congratulates them.

"Congrats brother!" I scream.

He pulls me in for a tight bro hug, very tight!

"Thanks man, I appreciate this!"

I join the others in congratulating them...

Once we're done congratulating the couple, we move to a venue I got for the after party.

There's a lot to drink, drink, drink and get wasted!

We all dance and make toasts to the newly engaged couple who can't keep their hands to themselves. Shaking my head I make my way to the bar to get another drink, my vision is getting blurry, but I'm still able to see - fairly.

Once I'm at the bar, I place my order and the bartender gets to mixing. I feel a presence by my side and when I turn to get a good look, I'm hit by tons of beauty all at once, I get sober real quick.

Who's she, I didn't invite her, or did I?

"Hey, I'm Christian Spencer."

I say while stretching my hand out to take hers for a handshake, she looks up and flashes her pearly whites.

"Sharon Matthews, nice to meet you."

"I'm sorry, but I haven't seen you around here before and I'm in charge of the guest list, but..."

"I'm Skai's friend... I've not been around, been shooting. Left a month before she was kidnapped and I've been in touch with the girls, they updated me with everything happening here. So, when she was brought back I was still shooting, we spoke over the phone and I told her I'll be done soon. I just got back this morning and Tania told me about the surprise engagement and I knew I had to be here, that's probably why you haven't seen me around."

All the time she was talking, I couldn't hear a word, I knew her lips were moving but I was in a trance, captured in her beauty. I noticed her lips stopped moving, meaning she's done talking.

"Wow! So, how about I buy you a drink and get your number, so we could get to know each other over lunch or dinner tomorrow."

"Eager now are we?"

"Much so."

"Do you go around buying drinks, for any lady you see at the bar?" She smirks.

"Only the extremely pretty ones."

She laughs and shakes her head, grabs my phone and types in her number.

I buy her a drink, we talk a little not really getting into details because I want to see her again.

Then we move to the dance floor and the rest of the evening is a blur.

Everyone is happy, the couple is happy I can tell because they're in each other's hands and staring into their eyes, all of that sappy shit! And I'm here dancing with a very beautiful woman...
