Mario sat on the couch, staring at the TV.
Only replay highlights of Mario Kart 8 races were being played.

"Luigi, don't you ever get bored of watching these?!" Mario complained.

"Not really, bro! I always check Mario Kart TV to see the best highlights of races all around the world! Who knows what you might see!!" Luigi explained enthusiastically.

"And? It's just people driving around a place messing each other with items and unfair crap!" Mario yelled.

"Well, you just summarized all of the Mario Kart games there! Heh." Luigi smiled.

"Oh. Well, why don't you turn off the Wii U and watch some real TV!?" Mario asked.

"Hmm... I can do that... Or..."

"Or what?"

"Or play online to share my replay!!!" Luigi said.

"Ugh, nooo...." Mario facepalmed.

"Let's a go!!" Luigi said and went online to find a match to play.

Mario just sat there, annoyed as his brother thought out loud the pros and cons of certain Kart combinations.

After a while, he was annoyed enough to stand watching Mario Kart 8.

"That's it! I'm leaving!" Mario stood up the couch and stomped off to the other room.

"Mario, remember that your TV is broken, this one at the living room is the only one that works!" Luigi said.

"Ugh damnit!!!" Mario said.

"I'll just go outside!" He yelled at nothing but Luigi, and went outside, slamming the door behind him.

"Gee, you don't have to be so rude." Luigi rolled his eyes and started playing.

Outside, Mario sat beside his house, and looked at everything around him.
Cars passing, Toads walking, Goombas pranking...

"Ugh... This day is so boring." Mario said and kept looking.

"Hey Mario! What's up?" A high pitched voice called from the side of the road.

"Oh, Hey Toad." Mario said and waved at him.

"So... Why so grumpy? There's a nice day right now! Nice to go to Peach Beach, have a scare at Luigi's Mansion... Or even some Mario Kart!" Toad said happily while he walked at Mario.

"Oh no. Mario Kart?! No. I had enough Kart racing watching my brother." Mario said and looked away.

"Hmm... Luigi's hogging the TV for himself again? Didn't you guys have one each?" Toad asked.

"Well, you see, we do have 2 TVs. One's in our room, and other in the living room." Mario explained. "But, the room's TV is broken and now there's only one, and Luigi won't let me touch it!!" Mario finished and heavily sighed.

"Oh... So you can't watch any movies or favorite shows. Darn."

"Yeah. But besides, there are no good movies coming out this summer besides Revenge Of The Goombas 2! And the shows in TV are pure trash except for a few ones, like The Yoshi Investigators and The Green Thunder." Mario said, sighed again and kicked a random rock into the road.

"Oh..." Toad looked down and started thinking.

"But Luigi can use the Gamepad to play!" Toad said.

"Well, you see. Luigi complains that the screen is not big enough for him to enjoy the game. That coming from a person who grew up with handhelds..." Mario said and rolled his eyes.

"Oh..." Toad said awkwardly.

"Hey! Why don't you make your own movie!" Toad said happily.

".... Man, that's a bit too much work, maybe something more simple to record could be nice..." Mario said.

"Hmm.... How about you make your own TV Show!" Toad said even happier.

"Hey, that's a pretty good idea! Let's head over to the Mushroom Kingdom News Network to see what they have available!" Mario said and high fived Toad.

"Heck Yeah!" Toad said and both ran away to the News Network headquarters.

Later, Toad waited in front of the News Network HQ.

"Man, why is Mario so slow? He should go to the gym sometime."

"Ehh, Hi Toad... Heh..." Mario showed up, heavily panting.

"What took you so long?" Toad asked.

"Eh, I don't really like hills." Mario answered.

"Okay... Well, Let's head in!" Toad said and opened the door and entered, Mario following behind.

"Hey, if it isn't the one and only Super Mario! What a surprise! We only recieve Fan Letters of you, sir!" Toadley said, surprised. "Came to tell us how amazing our shows are?"

"Maybe another time. For now, I would like to ask if I could have my own TV Show in this Network?" Mario explained.

"Oh, that's nice!" What would your show be about?" Toadley said.

"Well, what shows air in a daily basis here?" Toad asked.

"Hmm we got...
1:00 to 3:00 am: Mario Kart Highlight Reels: Double Dash Season
3:00 to 5:00 am: The Green Thunder
5:00 to 8:00 am: Morning With The Toad Crew
8:00 to 9:00 am: More Mario Kart Highlight Reels of the current season
9:00 to 10:00 am: Yoshi Around The World
11:00 pm to 3:00 pm: Kids Block
3:00 to 4:00 pm: The Koopansons
4:00 pm to 8:00 pm: The Yoshi Investigators
8:00 pm to 9:00 pm: Movie Time with Goombario
9:00 pm to 10:00 pm: [blank]
10:00 pm to 12:00 am: Journeys Of The Dreadnought"

Mario and Toad were astonished at the long list they were read.

"I didn't really need to know the whole schedule..." Mario said.

"Yeah, me neither." Toad added.

"Well, we have a blank spot where we put whatever we decide from 9:00 to 10:00 pm." Toadley suggested.

"Hmm.... What could be a good Show for that time..." Mario wondered.

"A Plumbing Show? Videogame Show? Cooking Show?" Toad suggested.

"That's it! A Cooking Show! But who would want to watch Cooking things that late?" Mario said.

"Well, then I don't know." Toadley said.

"I got an idea! Can you move the extra Mario Kart Highlight Reels to late night where there's nothing and put Mario's cooking show there?" Toad asked.

"Well, I only sit at the front desk in the lobby, so you should go talk to the Boss." Toadley said.

"Oh, then where is he?" Mario asked.

"Last floor, 5th door to the right." Toadley said.

"Ok! Then let's go! We got a show to air!!" Mario said happily, and dashed off to the stairs.

"Wait for me!" Toad followed behind.

"... I don't know whether Mario's attitude is better in the games and movies, or real life." Toadley rolled his eyes, and started reading a newspaper.

Later, Mario and Toad went out the door of the Headquarters, really happy.

"Amazing! I can't believe I will have my own show!" Mario said excited.

"A cooking show! What recipes do you plan to Show there, by the way?" Toad asked.

"Many recipes, such as my Ravioli Pepperoni Pizza, Luigi's Spaghetti, and The Extra Toasty Toast!" Mario said as he started thinking of the foods he mentioned.

"Cool! Do you think the recipe for making cakes like Peach's could be there as well?" Toad said.

"Well, that's not really complicated! What we need to have one exactly like her's is her secret ingredient! Which I don't know what it is." Mario explained.

"Oh... But it sure is something good if you and Luigi always enjoy the cakes!". Toad said.

"Yup! Well, I better be heading home, I start tomorrow at 5:00 am!" Mario said, waved Toad good bye, and dashed down Toad Road.

The next morning, Mario was ready for his premiere at his brand new Cooking Show. He had bought a special hat and picked up a chef suit he had from some games ago.

"I am gonna look amazing!" Mario said as he stored his suit in a suitcase.

"Hey Bro, whatcha up to?" Luigi said as he entered the room.

"Huh? Didn't I tell you? I'm going to the premiere of my new Cooking Show!

"Cooking Show? Wow, that sounds.... Absurd?" Luigi said and shrugged.

"Well, you would enjoy if you watched real TV!" Mario said.

".... At what hour your Show airs?" Luigi asked.

"Uhh, at morning, almost midday!" Mario said proudly.

"Well, have fun! There's a Mario Kart 8 tournament today, and the prizes are big!" Luigi said.

"Prizes?"

"Yup! Well, have fun cooking food in front of a camera. Ha ha!" Luigi chuckled and left the room.

"Very, funny." Mario muttered and while leaving out the door, threw a nearby cushion at the TV, obstructing Luigi's view and ruining his race.

"AHH NO! I lost! Just at the last second! MARIO!!" Luigi yelled at Mario, who slammed the door yet again.

At his studio, Mario prepared for his premiere, that is going to be live.

"Hey Mario! Ready to air to the Mushroom Kingdom?" Toad said as he entered the room.

"Of course! This is going to be awesome!" Mario said.

"Ok! Let's get started!" Toadette, who was ready to record, announced.

"Aaand... We're on air!!"

"Hello paisanos! It's a me, Super Mario! And I welcome you to the brand new, Cooking With Mario Show!  I am your host, along with Toad!" Mario proudly announced, as Toad came on screen.

"Hello, and Good Morning! In this show, we will show you the best cooking recipes from Super Mario!!" Toad said.

"That is right! Now, as a starting dish, we will be doing some Ravioli Pizza!" Mario stated as he explained the ingredients.

As the days passed, Mario's cooking show grew more and more popular, and within 2 weeks, he had a stable amount of views daily.

"Oh Yeah! Wonderful day as always!" Mario said happily as he strolled through the door of his house.

"Why the excitement Mario?" Luigi asked.

"Haven't you heard anything?! My Cooking Show is doing well! And only 2 weeks have passed!" Mario said.

"Oh wait, I know why you don't know. You don't watch real TV whatsoever." Mario added, and went to his room.

"Eh... You'll see... I'll watch some TV tomorrow." Luigi said, and went to the kitchen.

The next day, Luigi woke up earlier than Mario to see What Mario called, "real" TV.

"Wow! They pass Mario Kart Highlight Reels! I might start watching TV!" Luigi said gladly, and continued watching.

He watched all the way to the Morning With The Toad Crew show.

"Ok, so I looked in the page, and they will pass another Mario Kart Highlight Reel! Excelent!" Luigi said.

"And, as our final news, the topic is related to the channel!" Toadbert announces while looking at the camera.

"That's right! We have recieved News that the now coming, in a few moments, Mario Kart Highlight Reels, 8 season!"

"Yees!!" Luigi said paying attention.

"Will be replaced by the brand new Cooking With Mario show!" Toadbert said.

"WHAT?!" Luigi yelled amazed at the sudden change.

His face remained like that until the start of Mario's Show.

"Oh you are going to pay for this Mario.... I will take your stupid show out of the way, you'll see!!" Luigi said as he left the room.

And the stories start :D
Yep, it might get a continuation, when, I'm not sure...
But we have lots of stories to tell!
I hope you like this book! This is a little side thing to mix it up a little and not only be writing Super Mario Adventures.
Also, you may notice some discrepancies here and there. That's mostly due to that this was written a long time ago, and I've decided to leave it untouched for the most part. I've had this book since 2016 I think. And I'm sure that I can move it forward now.
