Every time I see a misused "there" in fics, it really really makes me not want to read it.

"He went to there car"

That is the most common use of "there" I see.

"He went to their car"

Better.

"But there not cool,"

There is to describe the placement of the subject.

"But their not cool,"

Their is to describe ownership.

"But they're not cool,"
