It didn't take long for them to get married.

The other Avengers only found out that they were engaged when Tony found the two kissing on the balcony, ring box open, lying on the ground. With Tony's help, they threw a small wedding a few months later, with all the Avengers and their close friends there.

And they were happy.

Years

Later

Now it's 2023, five years since they got married. They have a little cabin in the woods that they live in part of the year, to get away from the city life.

They adopted twins, now five years old; Astrid Frigga and Willa Rebecca Thorsdottir-Banner. Their daughters call all the Avengers their aunts and uncles, and sometimes Loki comes to visit and he really has a soft spot for the two girls.

Sometimes Bruce still feels insecure. He looks back on the days where he couldn't control the Hulk as well as he does now, and the things he's done. He still has a lot of self doubt. Thor is always there to remind him that there's a reason why they have this life, why they're here, and how many people are alive that love him.

Sometimes Thor looks back on his past. His one day in 1980, which sometimes he is convinced is a dream, except for when he sees that Bruce still has the Yggdrasil pendant that belonged to his mother. He misses his mother and father. He misses his home on Asgard. When he sees Loki, Valkyrie, and Heimdall, he is reminded that Asgard is not a place; it's a people. And he is forever grateful for Bruce by his side, who has stayed with him through Sakaar and Ragnarok and beyond.

There hasn't been any otherwordly threat for a while. sometimes the Avengers joke that life gets boring, but they deserve the peaceful lives that they have built.

Life isn't always perfect. But Thor and Bruce are happy together, and happy with their lives.

And that's all that matters.

In this world, Infinity War doesn't happen, so Endgame doesn't happen, and where's the problem here? Oh right, THERE IS NONE.

Anyway, I've had this story idea for some time now. It actually came to me when it was kind of rough for me and then this one teacher comes over to me when I'm sitting in my seat and  crouches down to be a little under my eye level and asks me how I'm doing, and I knew that they knew that I was going through something. On the way home, I had that playing in my mind, then I tried putting it into different context, and then after some different ways, my brain decided on Thor, crouching under eye level for young Bruce, telling him all the things that he wouldn't have heard in a rough childhood. Then, how did Thor get to see young Bruce? What do they do? What's the setting? You know the answer to those; you saw the result.

Not writing from Bruce's perspective KILLED me, but this story really requieres Thor's point of view. It's just that I get Bruce, and he's just so underrated--not Hulk, Bruce. People don't appreciate Bruce Banner that much. There's this one interview I found somewhere with Mark Ruffalo, and the interviewer asks him if he gets/likes Hulk better or Bruce, or something like that, so he says that he loves the Hulk and goes off into a description about playing him, and then for Bruce, he simply says, "I am him." and I couldn't have agreed more with that. I think I just needed to write a story from someone else's perspective, who loves Bruce so much, and needs to find a way to let him know how much he is loved, because I need someone to tell me something like that. Does anyone else feel the same way?

If you catch anything historically innacurate, please tell me, I wasn't alive in the 80's, I have no personal experience. If anything I said about Yggdrasil was innacurate, tell me about that too. If I tried playing into Bruce's childhood and took it way too far, tell me about that as well. I haven't read any of the comics (yet), but I have gained an obsession with the movies and I find websites and articles that go really in depth about the people, so.

Also Star Wars. Just, Star Wars. Honestly, this story mostly grew from Thor finding young Bruce and saying nice things, and them watching Star Wars.

I really had fun writing this. I think I've said that a bunch of times. This is by far my favorite ThorBruce fic (and the only complete one) that I've written, so that's why this one got published first.

I write for other fandoms. This is my second story up on Wattpad. I'll write more fanfics; for this fandom, for other fandoms, for this ship, for other ships...if you liked this story, try reading some of my other ones in the future! Once I get them up here haha.

Anyway, I think I've said it all.

Will there be editing? Yes. When will I get around to that? I have no idea.
