Dessert
I nodded my head, agreeing that desert sounded good. Kayla and I grabbed a menu, and we scrolled our eyes over the choices, before we both agreed on a brookie with ice cream. We had to wait a while, which my date thankfully filled the silent void with small talk about our favorite animes.
Her head perked up as the waiter came over with our food, the smell enticing her. Couldn't blame her, it did smell good and looked even better. Her usual voice that sounds like a mixture of a boy and a girl turned a bit more husky as she said, "Oh, hello there."
The waiter placed the desert on the table, along with an extra bowl for one of us so we could split it properly. Kayla took a knife, fork, and spoon and she separated the desert equally in between the two of us.
We both took a bite at seemingly the same time, and once the taste hit my taste buds, it was if I was in figurative heaven. The ice cream melted as soon as it touched my tongue, with the nice, cool liquid slide down my throat, leaving the still warm and a bit melting brookie, bursting like chocolate flavored water balloons. In short, it was good.
But soon my eyes started to get blurry and I suddenly felt light headed. I started swaying back and forth, and Kayla seemed to do the same. The next thing I knew everything went dark.

I blinked open my eyes, being off put by the feeling of myself moving. I quickly analyzed my surroundings, and realized that I was in a car. I looked next to me, and saw that Kayla was tied up as well. There were no windows that we could really see out of in the van, just white walls.
"Kayla, are you okay?"
She nodded her head, letting me know that she was perfectly fine.
"Yeah, you?"
I nodded my head as well.
"Looks like our dessert or dinner was poisoned for some reason. That probably knocked us out for a bit, being why we're stuck in a van with our hands mostly tied up."
"Well, isn't that dandy."
We just sat there for a while, trying to think of ways to escape. It was then that Kayla's amber eyes got a little brighter and had a glint to them like she figured something out.
"Hey y/n, these plastic things aren't that strong. I can easily cut them open with my teeth."
Wait, when did Kayla get sharp teeth? Low and behold, she put her mouth near the restraints, about to bite them, before she looked up at me.
"Hey, do you want me to get them off. I mean if they do come off we still have no idea where they are and that door looks locked tight. I mean, is it really worth to do it if we're still going to be stuck in the same pickle?"
The girl had a point. The question is, do we take off the restraints, meaning that we would have to attack. Or do we not take off our restraints, meaning that no one had to attack?
