Epilogue
Wooyoung moaned a little and stretched his arms over his head, pulling himself out of sleep.
He opened his eyes and froze.
Where was he?
He didn't recognize this bed, this room.
Slowly, he sat up and looked around, his heart racing with fear as he took in his surroundings.
Then he saw a DVD case with a note on it saying, 'Watch me'.
He didn't know why, but something in him said that he needed to do this, so he popped the DVD in and sat back on the bed.
Images of articles saying he'd been in an accident, doctor's reports, and follow-up articles flashed by.
Then... clips of him with another man.
Walking hand in hand, sitting in Eunji's diner, dancing on stage together...
Standing at an altar saying 'I do' to a man named Yunho.
Wooyoung looked down at the ring on his finger and gasped.
More images came, like standing with his friends, hugging them, then getting into a car.
Walking at the airport looking so excited.
On an airplane, snuggled into Yunho's side.
Going through customs after landing in America.
Holding up a pair of keys and then walking into a small, two-story home.
Then Yunho appeared by himself and started talking with the most adoring smile on his face. "Hello Darling. I hope you slept well. I'm most likely in my office working, so when you're ready, why don't you come and join me, and we can start the new day together. I love you."
Still slightly confused but feeling like he was in a strange, familiar daze, Wooyoung stopped the DVD and left the bedroom.
Pictures of himself with Yunho were everywhere on the walls, showing the journey of their life together.
Wooyoung stared at them in wonder. He wished... He wished he'd never had that accident so he could remember them.
But he kept walking down the hall, stopping at a door that was slightly ajar and had the sounds of a keyboard clicking from somewhere within.
He pushed the door open and peeked inside to see Yunho sitting at a desk, squinting at his computer screen with a slight frown.
Which instantly vanished the second he saw Wooyoung and turned into a huge smile. "Hi Darling."
"H-Hi." Wooyoung said, feeling a little shy.
Yunho pushed back from his desk and came over to kiss his forehead. "How are you feeling?"
"Confused?"
A fond chuckle followed, and Yunho wrapped an arm around his waist. "I know. But you'll understand soon. Let's go get some breakfast and you can read what you wrote yourself."
Wooyoung could feel himself relaxing at Yunho's trust and let himself be led to the kitchen, passing by several windows that showed a large backyard glowing in the morning light. In the background, a large city could be seen in the distance, almost like they were on top of a hill looking down on it.
They definitely weren't in Korea anymore.
"Yunho?"
"Hmm?" The taller looked down at him and smiled.
"This is our... home?"
"Yes Darling, and Los Angeles will be for the next few years while I finish getting my new building settled for work. Then we can go wherever you'd like."
Wooyoung held his eye for a long moment.
A soft, understanding look entered Yunho's eyes and he left Wooyoung just long enough to turn on a speaker.
He returned just as the song started playing and pulled Wooyoung to him, placing one hand on his waist and grabbing his other hand to start leading them in a slow, romantic dance.
'Looking at yourself, a lot goes in your mind'.
The lyrics seemed so familiar, just like being in Yunho's arms as they spun around the open dining room and living room, avoiding all the furniture with ease.
And Wooyoung knew...
That even though he couldn't remember.
This really was his home.
With this song.
And his husband to guide him every step of the way.
'You are a miracle, miracle. You are youtiful.'
"Yunho?" They stopped dancing and Wooyoung moved his hand from Yunho's shoulder to his cheek.
"Yes, my love?" Yunho whispered back, smiling at Wooyoung like he was the only form of happiness he'd ever need.
Even though he didn't fully understand why, Wooyoung let his thumb drift back and forth, enjoying when Yunho turned his head slightly to lean into it. His heart burst with so much emotion that he lost all control over his words.
"I love you." He whispered.
Yunho's gaze melted and he started to spin them around in a slow dance again even though the music had stopped.
"I love you too, Wooyoung. From now, until the end of time."
