DOA | PT: 6

It was the next day when Nikolai again woke you up. He was excited for you to meet everyone and you couldn't help but feel overwhelmed and unpleasant. You got up and asked if you could once again borrow his clothes.

"Actually! I got you something~!"

"Really?"

"Yup! Consider it a gift from the DOA!"

Nikolai Gogol grabbed something from his dresser and left the room while you changed into it.

You looked at the dress in awe. It looked just like something he would wear if not for being a dress.

After looking like a female Nikolai, you were about to leave the room when you stopped yourself. You sat on his bed and quickly looked around before opening the nightstand drawer and grabbing his diary.

You wanted to see if he had written more about you and to your surprise he had. You scanned over it as anxiety got the better of you. Thinking he'd walk through that door any minute now.

"Fyodor is proud and that makes me happy :) I finally got her to agree! I wonder if Sigma will like her as I do! Fyodor suggested I give her a gift so I stayed up alllllll night making her a dress! She better like it." You didn't know he was the one that made it, it made the dress feel even more special as you examined it again. You wondered who Sigma was and was dreading yet excited to find out.

You kept reading as he went on and on about how much fun he had at the carnival with you.

"It was one of the best days of my life." And "I'm so happy she went with me! No one ever goes with me!" Tugged at your frozen heartstrings.

His diary made you smile as you put it back in the drawer and went to find Nikolai. He was sitting on the couch waiting for you when you suddenly grabbed him and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you so much! I love the dress!"

"Y/N! OHHH, I'm soooo glad! You look perfect." You couldn't help but blush at his compliment and thanked him again.

"Now, let's go meet the others!" He squealed in excitement.

There was an elegant demeanor around the building. He took you into a dimly lit room with a man inside. He was playing the cello with his eyes closed and his long dark hair messily covered his face.

"FYODOR!! MEET Y/N!" You covered your ears and almost tripped as Nikolai pushed you toward the man, yelling loudly.

Fyodor looked at you with a grin. "Your Royal Highness, please sit." His voice was deep, coated with a thick accent. You sat in front of him and Nikolai rested his arms on your shoulders behind you.

"Hello, sir."

"I am Fyodor Dostoevsky, it is a pleasure to meet you, Y/N L/N~"  He slowly got up and walked over to you, handing you a small box.

"We are very happy to have you here."

You opened the velvet box and inside was a crown sitting on a small pillow. It wasn't your crown but it was arguably prettier.

You placed it on your head and thanked him.

"Ah, Fyodor! Isn't she lovely? I made her that dress!" Nikolai beamed with pride."It is a beautiful gift indeed. Thank you, Nikolai," Fyodor nodded in approval before turning his attention back to you. "I have heard much about you and your recent... circumstances."You felt a sense of unease wash over you as Fyodor's piercing gaze seemed to see right through you.

"Nikolai has spoken highly of your potential contributions to our organization. We are pleased to have someone of your stature join us."Your mind raced with questions and doubts, but the weight of the situation pressed down on your shoulders like a heavy cloak. You knew there was no turning back now."I am honored to be here," you replied softly, trying to keep up appearances despite the turmoil within.

Fyodor gave a small smile before returning his focus back on the cello in front of him, signaling that the meeting was coming to an end.As Nikolai led you out of the room and into another part of their hideout, he couldn't contain his excitement at having brought you into their fold. And so began your journey as a member of Decay of Angels...
