After returning to class the next day izuku stood outside of the door thinking he would be mocked for his prosthetic body he opens the door as he is hit with a wave of worry from his friends

Ochako:ARE YOU OKAY

Iida:WHEN WE SAW YOU LIKE THAT IT WAS HORRIFYING

Izuku:WAH

Denki:you had us worried ya jerk

Ejiro:but you fought to the very end like a true man

Tsuyu:glad you're feeling better ribbit i owe you my thanks

Shinso:so do i

Izuku:hey it's just what being a hero is all about keeping a level head and making good choices to save lives

Aizawa:oi that's enough talking everyone sit

All:SENSEI?!

Aizawa:i don't have the time to rest after all an important event is coming up next

All:'please no more villains'

Aizawa:the sports festival it'll be a big event and you'll all have a while to come up with newer strength than what you all started with and you will all be able to get a chance to be spotted by pros

All:HAAI

And so they begin to train as much and as hard as they could some doing accuracy training others doing resistance and anyone else close range and after all the time they were given was used up we now make it to the beginning of the sports festival where everyone was waiting to give it their all for what could happen ahead of them

Shoto:midoriya

Izuku:huh

Shoto:judging from where i am to you i think i can beat you

Izuku:what

Denki:woah woah woah let's not start fighting here guys

Shoto:don't tell me what to do we aren't here to make friends this is a war between U.A students and if we're to fight I'm not going to fight like it's a tea party

Izuku:he's right this is winner takes all and we all could end up fighting and you're right you could be stronger than me but you still don't know what you're up against if you challenge me

And they all get called out to the stadium where the same thing as the anime happens and they all line up for the race and once the go was given shoto bursts out with a barrier of ice blocking everyone

Shoto:not letting anyone get past me

Suddenly the ice bursts as izuku and katsuki begin to race side by side as others pour out

Izuku:he thinks he's just gonna cheat his way to victory

Katsuki:HE HAS ANOTHER FUCKIN THING COMING

They get to the first event the robots rush at them as shoto freezes one with izuku running past him as he jumps at a 0 pointer

Izuku:Incinerate

The robot falls over as izuku jumps off of it gaining an edge katsuki blasts over another

Katsuki:GET BACK HERE

As they make it to the next event katsuki bursts ahead going over as izuku began to jump across pillar after pillar

Katsuki:HA I'M IN THE LEAD

Shoto:No You Don't

As shoto slides across they both reach the final event as izuku uses his sensors to find any landmines through his path he makes his way to the two of them ahead of him as they all begin to throw hands with one another as mines explode near them

As they keep fighting as they race one another to the finish line they all punch each other across the face as izuku blasts himself forward setting mines off to give him an extra boost he begins to run to the finish as the others try to catch up by any means necessary they are all neck and neck until izuku had made it first winning the race
