blurring vision and numbing voice,
her heart thuds against her weak chest.

a single heart splitting into hundreds of worthless pieces,
so her mind clouds with countless thoughts of the next life.

staring up at the twinkling stars,
she wants to fly with them.

time to sleep, child.
