I don't want to write you a poem

Because I know,

It will be the beginning

And I don't want to start something that will eventually end

With no way of knowing

If it will end tragically,

Or like the good old fairy tales;

A happily ever after

These thoughts though,

They don't want to leave me alone

But I know that I am better than my emotions

Greater than my feelings

This is temporary

In a few days, this will be gone

Everything will go back to normal

Like nothing happened

I have nothing to worry about

My heart, though bruised and frail

Is stronger than ever
