Right Thing

There are times when you want to give up because you think no one is reading your story. Isn't your passion for writing enough? Isn't your love for your characters enough?

Aren't you enough?

I've been to a point when the only reader of my story is me. Did I want to stop then? Did I quit writing?

Seriously, I don't remember much of what happened before, but I recall that I paused on updating because of school. That didn't mean I stop writing. I still continued even though I didn't post them on Wattpad.

Be faithful with little things first. How can you become a published author when you can't even handle being an online writer? When you can't even be satisfied with your current readers?

Isn't it much better when people follow and read your stories because they want to, not because you forced them to?

My mind-set back then was, "I don't care if they read it or not. I'm still going to upload and finish my story.

Look at the effect of what I told myself. Back then, I didn't think that it was a big deal. Now I realized that the little things matter most.

 .

Some people write because:

They have stories to tell.

Their imagination is so vivid they'll go crazy if they keep the ideas inside them.

They wish to escape from reality.

They want to inspire people.

They yearn to be in control.

They need to make money.

They desire fame.

They want attention and friends.

 .

If your motives are for your own selfish reasons, you’ll never be satisfied.

Be honest with yourself.

Why are you writing?
