There are times when I hardened my heart

I push You away

I get ashamed by the things I've done

Dear God, I'm sorry

No matter how many times I fail You,

I hurt You with my actions,

You keep on forgiving me

I don't deserve Your love

And yet, You keep on embracing me

You tell me it's okay,

That You already forgot about my mistakes

You're so patient with me

Always waiting for me to come back

I don't even know why I turn away from You

When I know I'll always return to You

Tears spill from my eyes

You reach out and wipe them

You alone are God

And I'll forever be amazed by Your mercy and grace
