              WILL'S POV

Standing by my locker, a male in a bright blue blazer suddenly plastered himself against the shut lockers... Harry.
       "Hello there, Will?"
I pushed shut the metallic door, controlling the anger threatening to slash through me.

"What is it about this time?"
A wide smirk surfaced. "Looks like you still have the same old edginess from our good days." He teased crossing arms on his wide chest. "But anyway, I don't give a flying fuck about your anger. Just here to warn you. Stay very far from Agatha. She's mine by every law. By every rule."

   I huffed.
"Is this a threat?"
The corner of his lips curved downwards stating take-it-as-you-like. "It could be if you don't do it."
"Want to bet? I'm wining her cousin," I challenged bringing my usual relaxed grin.

I seemed to intimidate him from the folds on his forehead.
"Ha! Love to see you try."
"I bet you haven't noticed that she ain't in school, right?"
It felt great being  ahead of the jerk.

Harry unglued off the lockers. Suddenly looking struck.
   "Where is she?"
I pinched my nose. "Ask Google." With that, I went away.

After meeting Agatha, and possibly pretending to walk away, I had followed her. Along the way, texting my cousin, Sue to help keep track of her.
And in the middle of geography, I received a text from her. 'She's walked in a coffee shop. How much am I being paid for spying?'
I gazed at the white board, the teacher was busy writing. A perfect opportunity to leave.
Before he could refocus from it, I rose, then rushed out in the silence of my classmates.
Sue sent me the location, and I took a bus heading downtown.

"She's over there," Sue pointed towards the corner of the shop... "Okay, thanks." Said sliding  fifty dollars  towards her.
  "Thanks Sue."
"Whatever!" She rolled her eyes getting up to leave. I also rose, but walked for Agatha's table.

Her gray eyes grew even wider seeing me take a seat opposite her uninvited.
    "What are you doing here?"
"I should ask you that question.  Ain't you supposed to be in school right now, Ag?"
   Her right eyebrow raised. "Ag?"
I laughed at the  silly face she wore. "Come on. You can't be that old-fashioned not to catch a new word."

The gray eyes rolled in a perfect circle.
"I didn't ask you to join me."
I raised a hand to signal the full-figured waitress at out table. "I'm sure this shop ain't in the Cruise's influence. The owner is a close family friend."
Her lips parted, as if about to spit an insult. But she held it in anyway.
Sylvia grinned stopping beside the round plastic table we had occupied. "Oh my gawd! Will!" She squeaked before plunging herself down at me for a bone-crushing hug. "It's really you."
I gave a slight laugh, eyeing Ag to make sure she had seen it.

"After all these years yet you still have the same devilish looks."
Sylvia and I had grown up together. If it hadn't been for me repeating grade five, I'd be out of highschool. That'd mean, never meeting this interesting creature called Agatha Cruise.
"What can I say. I'll always be forever young," joked wearing a silly smirk.
She slapped my arm looking over at Agatha. "Why don't you introduce me to your girlfriend?"
At the mention of the name girlfriend, Ag's eyes immediately possessed the shocked layer.

I wanted to laugh at her.
"Um, Sylvia, this is Agatha. Ag, meet Sylvia, my childhood friend."
All Ag offered was a soft handshake. Before Sylvia suddenly frowned retreating her hand. "Wait, are you the Cruise's Agatha?"
It wasn't difficult to notice the attack of emotions swinging in Ag's face. She didn't respond, just slipped off the chair and half-ran out.
"I just wanted to confirm cause-" I didn't wait to hear the rest of her story, I went after Ag.

She was moving quite quick for someone so short.
"Stop! Agatha?" Shouted running ahead to block her path.

Her head tilted aside, avoiding any eye contact... After a snappish survey around us, I pulled her into the alley I saw next to the coffee shop.
She tried resisting. But only let go once we were off the streets, away from the curious eyes that were always waiting for a tiny mistake to poke their noses at.

"Agatha? Are you- Oh gawd!"
The moisture in her cool gray eyes shimmered in the morning sunlight. Giving them a touch of sexiness, yet sad knowing why they were wet.
     "Why are you crying?"
She sniffed wiping off the tears harshly. "Nothing. I'm just super happy that every single person in Black Hills is a huge fan of me and my family!" Ag cried in heavy sarcasm.

I was never good with emotions, and honestly, I had no right words to ease her.
      "Isn't that a good thing?"
"What?" She squeaked horrified.
Okay, now I suck at the easing.
"Do you think I wish to live like this? A life where every person treats me like I have a deadly infection? I've been quiet all my life because nobody ever took interest in what I had to say. Not even my fucked up family!'
Wow. She really had a fucked up life. Rich, but fucked.

" Go ahead, judge me like everyone else. That I'm a witch, here to collect souls!" The yell was accompanied by hits on my chest... I caught the wrists, made her look up at me.
Her pretty face was totally soaked in tears, eyes turning red and sour.

"How will that help, huh?"

She squeezed the gray twins shut, causing more tears to slip from the corners. "I just want to die. I've held on too long."

Out of compassion, I gathered her figure to myself. Felt the rugged breathing on my chest.

She continued sobbing, blabbering things about her ancestors, about a Damned, or whatever that meant. But I took it as part of her letting go of some shit she'd been closing in.
At that moment, I felt different. For the very first time, I was actually comforting a girl. One that I hadn't taken interest in. One I had also judged. One that people kept laying labels on.

                "Hey?"

Ag didn't respond. Her sobbing had stopped a minute ago. And when I retreated, saw the closed eyes, the face struggling to be calm again. Ag had passed out crying, on my chest.
I hadn't felt her sudden weight because her body had been glued to the wall.

Slowly, I laid Ag on the concrete, then sat to lay her head on my lap...
It all felt weird. Me watching her expressions shift in heartbeats while I caressed the red streaks of hair off her temples...

Agatha Cruise, finally, I had gotten a perfect picture of her. From the people, and herself. Tormented. Feared. Yet, soft and mushy in the inside like any other human.
